In 2011, I purchased a plane ticket in April to go see him preach in Dallas; on the way I met TD Jakes in Los Angeles. Bishop Ashe almost didn't make it because he was not well. My purpose was to return a videotape that he preached on Lucifer because it was loaned to one of his friends in Fresno where he used to reside. That is one sermon not found on CZcams or anywhere else. That was the one and only time I met him and shook his hand in person. A great man of God.

I am one of those weird women who felt like God told her that the preacher was her husband. I'm not even naturally attracted to white men. I always felt that we would meet each other, talk about God and grow in love. I was really hurt about his passing.
I want to ask you a question because I am unsure of salvation. When I was young I was told one was saved through confession. However, in my early adult life I was told one is saved by receiving the holy ghost which is evedenced with speaking in tongues. Although, I have learned by listening to bishop Ashe and researching the Syrian orthodox faith that one is saved because of the death of Jesus Christ. So there is absolutely nothing we can do or say to be saved. What do you think?

Bishop Ashe seemed to prophecy the transition of Bishop Pearsons transition from his religious dogma to his new found enlightenment gospel. Listening to bishop Ashe sermon regarding bishop Pearsons newfound belief, he made it sounds as though the transition was ordained by God. What do you guys think? Jake, I believe you hit it right on the head. Bishop Pearson invited Bishop Ashe and I believe accepted his message, as we all have, being sons of God. Carlton Pearson has only followed God's will, as we all have, even those that have not acknowledged (1 Tim 4:10). Jake, this is a late response but i am familiar with the prophecy in which you speak and i just honestly don't have the answers. I will say this, I love both Carlton Pearson and i loved Bishop Ashe. The Enlightenment Gospel is very enticing and i have studied it, prayed about it but I just can't park there. The above message is so powerful and represent the heart of God. I will always love Bishop Ashes ministry but I believe there is a physical place called hell. Where we get messed up is that the inclusive preachers are right, God didn't create Hell for mankind, but for Satan and his demons. I agree to some point on your perspective on this. Ashe somehow "commonized" if thats a word, Pearsons New Enlightenment message by taking us back to the 1st Century church and reworking our Hebrew Greek Syntax. Its because we have a bad habit of interpreting the scriptures from our PRESENT reality, we misinterpret hebrew and greek writing translation and perspective and miss the things that could help those of us who call Pearson HERETICAL, see his message a bit clearer. I still think some of Pearsons teachings are a bit aloof but listening to ashe (who is Syrian Orthodox) brings a greater edge of understanding to Pearsons message. Ashe was a GIFTED preacher, PERIOD. He knew how to preach in between denominations and still keep it Yeshua at the end of the day. Most prolific preacher ive EVER heard and ive heard about all of them. His message is STILL relevant!!! 20 years later some of them still get a tear out of me.
