@@Firealarmcollectorperson agreed. A type of fire extinguisher that every household must have is a class ABC which I have 2 fire extinguishers in my house and it’s always a better idea to have more than one fire extinguisher in your home even if you just live in a mobile home that way you have one fire extinguisher at each end of your house
Awesome video! I am a big fan of Ansul extinguishers and the Ansul class k extinguishers are really cool! Nice that you have one, I am hoping to get one to put in my collection in the future!
I'll never forget the smell of Ansulex having worked on these and R102 systems. It is really irritating to your skin if you're not careful but it is highly effective. These and Amerex K class are the only ones I'd recommend
I've seen the Amerex and Ansul class K extinguishers. Of the two the Ansul is visually superior. The black label against the stainless steel tank just pops.
Unfortunately, functionally, it trails. The valve uses the same stem as dry chem units. As a result, the valve constantly gets stuck down. The stainless steel quality is also rather poor. It’s a shame, as Ansul generally makes some of the best extinguishers
The potassium acetate in the extinguisher is actual only moderately corrosive. It smells really bad like vinegar but it shouldn’t be too harmful just irritating
What kind of compressor adapter do you use? Also I have a 2.5 gallon amerex water mist extinguisher with no air compressor valve on the back of the extinguisher valve, I didn't know if you knew a solution
Don't buy these for your house. Just get a CO2 or dry chemical extinguisher and you'll be fine. No need to spend like $600-$900 on a commercial extinguisher
Very cool. I’ve always wanted a K class extinguisher.
Neat
It’s designed for fires in commercial kitchens so there’s probably no need to have one for a fire in your home
@@Jimmy06blue yeah. They are just cool though.

hey bro why don't you make a video of your fire extinguisher collection that would be great
The potassium acetate in the extinguisher is actual only moderately corrosive. It smells really bad like vinegar but it shouldn’t be too harmful just irritating
It is very corrosive. Older class K units had their brass valves completely destroyed by the agent by the 5 year mark
Nice video
Yea every time I service aka hydro test one of these ansul K guard I take the double pin throw it away and use a regular pull pin.

You need a recharge adapter. They are available on enay
@@FireAlarmDude5967 just bought one thanks for that bro
Wait which powder did you use and where did you get it from? Think we can have a quick conversation?
Not sure what you’re referring to in this video. This is a class K extinguisher
Did you fill it with nitrogen or regular air?
Air
Amerex are better right?
Yessir!
Could be a cheaper grade of stainless steel at least for the handle, such as 201 or 409, and maybe not passivated.
What is its refilling frequency?
what?
Late reply, but if you mean hydro testing intervals, K-Class extinguishers should be tested every 5 years
Man class k my parents restaurant has one
Neat
The “that’s what she said” was NOT needed
But welcome 😂😂😂
Kiddie’s kitchen fire extinguisher is not a class K what the heck?
This video refers to an Ansul K class extinguisher with a class K rating
@@FireAlarmDude5967 yes I know but what is your opinion on a kitchen fire extinguisher that is not rated class K
Ansul is not my favorite brand i like amerex it's has a high flow rate
I think they have similar flow rates but yes I like Amerex
Amerex all the way. Although Ansuls have a nice industrial look to them.

Why would someone get a commercial kitchen extinguisher for their home
