    Very nice video! It’s good to see a side by side comparison of two of the nicest extinguishers on the market.

    Consider in future testing weigh before and after a test to see if they discharged all 5lbs of material.

    When I got my Amerex B500 extinguisher, I accidentally cut off the pin retainer because I thought it was part of the packaging. So I taped the end of the safety pin itself until I can use it for a fire demo.

    Ansul has problematic gauges, I always have to replace them. Remember there’s a difference between 2A10BC and 3A40BC which can change up your flow rates.

    I've seen this video several times bro, I was thinking why you don't make a comparison between the old ansul sentry fire extinguishers vs the current ones, I don't know if you have old ansul sentry with charge, I think it would be a good comparison.

    Hi everyone firstly I a Fire Extinguisher service technician I also work in a hydro test station and I have pulled apart hundreds of these units and tested and operated them.
    The cylinder build quality is slightly better in the Ansul plus the internal products such as the syphon tube is slightly larger with the Ansul. The Ansul dose have a slightly higher test pressure this indicates the wall thickness and build is slightly better.
    What dose this mean to the average Joe, nothing.
    When purchasing the unit look at the fire test rating on the cylinder eg 4a:40bc
    You might find that the Ansul might have a slightly higher fire rating.
    This only comes into factor when deciding what unit the fire safety company will put & install in commercial / industrial properties.
    The ammonium ABC powder is high performance in both units again to the average Joe this means nothing.
    Both units are US made and have a great build quality but if I had to choose as a service tech I would choose Ansul
    Either way for a powder base ABC unit both are good.

    I have a blind tenant who I need to get a fire extinguisher for. His kitchen is tiny and literally only big enough to stand directly in front of the stove or maybe a couple feet back. Do you have any recommendations for an extinguisher?

    • @FireAlarmDude5967
      @FireAlarmDude5967  Před 2 lety

      Hey!
      This is a good question. Because of the fact the kitchen is small, you could even get a little Tundra spray can fire extinguisher which is basically a fire extinguisher in an aerosol can, which is easy for him to use but not too strong as to be difficult.

    • @KurtG85
      @KurtG85 Před 2 lety

      @@FireAlarmDude5967 Yep! Thanks. 👍
      That's exactly what I was thinking too. Also one of those handle triggers that clip onto aerosol cans so he knows where he's aiming.
      Have you used tundra? Do you find that to be the best (for small close range cans) and with the widest swath of effective extinguishing power? Being blind he will need as much room for error as possible.

    • @FireAlarmDude5967
      @FireAlarmDude5967  Před 2 lety

      @@KurtG85 I have done a review video on tundra. I am personally not a fan of tundra for most applications but this is a situation where it would be a good choice. Also, there is a different alternative called “FireGone” which is another aerosol sold at Walmart. It has a directional nozzle and comes out as a foam which may be better

    • @FireAlarmDude5967
