ooooh yeah !
Martin.....you better go fishing.....music is not for you
Genial! Saludos desde Ecuador
You guys are just crushing it !
The drummer = MASTER of the ghost notes....
MAster of the groove and feeling more
I was just thinking the same thing, he doesn't get enough credit!
And left handed, I don't remember ever seeing a left handed drummer?
There is a lot of left handed drummer
@@thomaspommier7443 probably, I still haven't seen one 😉
Dont forget the drummer guys. What a sweet, full of honey & killer chops he's got there... perfect dynamic
He plays everytime a solo... he is too much, in every video.
Pikószky András it is feeling...freedom...i think he complements really well.
The drummer is awesome.
imo, he plays too many ghost notes.. almost like a solo.. he ruins the emotion of the song :)
haventgotoverit he sounds good to me. Lots of critics on here. They’re a pretty tight, great sounding band. With live actual musicians.
The voice of the bass player is EVERYTHING. Really difficult to comment appreciation, everything here is ASTONISHING
HOLY SHIT!!?? THAT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!
Came here for the guitar, then the singer distracted me, the drummer stunned me, then the hippie on the keys......Damn Bro!? Got Soul!!!!😋
Your guitarist smoked that like a Cuban Cigar!
Jimmi would be pleased!
You guys ROCK!
Justice is done!
THANK YOU!
I am inspired! 😁
Well said sir!
Beautiful.
Yeah but, pay attention
Chances are their inspiration here was the Sting rendition on his 1987 “nothing like the sun” second album
Blazing solo. Really great. Great band. Man. Great. GREAT
compliments from Jon Gomm?!?! what an honor! seriously, one of the best versions I've ever heard, not overplayed but just the right amount of Improv... every musician knew his place and was in the pocket... keep killing it!
putri huancu
that sounds really really great
Jon Gomm Sí sí señor Bazinga sólo, 😉
Yeah, Jon!
I am 57 and this brought me to tears
I'm 59 and this brought me to tears too ... my favourite band and favourite guitarist.
Me too, thinking of SRV, EC, and of course jimi
I'm 102 tears old and I'm not in years
Nice
im 20 n cried, so powerful song:''(
Guitars always get the love.... But.. that bassist, that keyboard player, that drummer! For the first time I really noticed and admired the whole band individually. I've watched this so many times to take it in. So impressed.
The smiley bassist voice is damn good
For guitar players, Little Wing is like that space on the old seafaring charts where they drew dragons in the openness beyond known seas. It represents a challenge of infinite proportion because of its beauty, beguiling simplicity and the extraordinary difficulty of imbuing your version with anything approaching Hendrix’s louche virtuosity. To my ear, only SRV’s cover ever approached the breathlessness of the original. When this video of a German guy I had never heard of started, I was disappointed to hear the band eschew the song’s iconic double stop intro in favor of the simple chord progression, but the bassist’s vocal - more profound and articulated than Jimi’s - was authentic and oddly compelling. Then came the break and, well, you can listen to yourself as Martin Miller references just enough of Hendrix’s searing phraseology to show his reverence while owning the only true “original” take on the this solo that I have have ever heard that I listened to more than once. Ten times later, I am so awed by his audacity and originality in playing it with such passion that I have no doubt that somewhere out in the vast cosmos, the particles of Hendrix’s energy paused in their flight to approve.
It is an exquisite bit of guitar playing.
The most brilliant summary ever
SRV outdid Hendrix, Clapton did as well, as have others.
So you quite liked this version then I gather lol
Longway of saying "much better than the original".
Especially Lityle Wing/3rd stone
This sounds like Pink Floyd played little wing....so good.
CornCobPipe When it started, I was questioning if they were playing Little Wing or Breathe.
Yeah great players like Miller and Gilmour really know how to decorate those chord changes!
One of the reasons this performance is so good is because they are all wearing in ear monitors and that allows them to hear everything super clear; leading them to not overplay and play super relaxed with dynamics
Great job btw! Awesome
Or they’re just good musicians….
3:18 that lick came from heaven
Isn't it from an Eric Johnson Song?😋👍🤘
Benjamin Humpert it’s from Cliffs of Dover🤘🏻🤘🏻
Oliver Red Nob: ho yeah you're right I didn't notice. In that contexte it's even better imo. best part of the song for sure
yeah. for sure it's taken from cliffs of dover. the lick around 3:27 with all the string skipping is from the beginning of cliffs. It's also very Eric Johnson.
Jimi Hendrix soul resides in all of 'em and yeah. Fuck you corona! Peace!
that guitar tone is amazing...
I really wonder if that's because of the guitar (and PUs) or because of the amp he's using.
Niels8 The majority of tone comes from the amp.
The majority of the tone comes from the guy holding the guitar.
@@FT-64 no it’s the amp
Jimi Gilmour
💯 agree
I get it! Awesome analogy.
That is absolutely unnecessary. I like it.
3:17 Jimi or Gilmour don't play licks like that
@@johnanderson9494 jimi gilmour johnson it is
Jimi will be proud to know this music is cover after 60 years and especially that. Beautiful
I love the Eric Johnson references in that solo. Really melodically done too.
where?
Oh yes, also some govan licks i hear. Really nice modern approach to a classic song.
@@RUARI-mi1yt I think in 3:18 lick, sounds like Cliffs of Dover
That was awesome!! One of my favourite tracks of all time & a really cool version of it!!
CaptAnderton Yeah, Captain!!! :D He's probably the best guitarplayer (after Guthrie) on the whole internet... you need to check out his other stuff.
P.s. I really like your vids... greetings from Bavaria, Germany ;)
Wow captain was here !!!
CaptAnderton I knew you had some good music taste ;)
albert febry the captin is everywhere ;)
Oh, it's the Captain :D
My neighbor threw a brick at my window so he could hear this better.
Best comment ever!!! 🤣😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Savage 😂
Suhaimi Latiff
Instant karma :)
old but gold
OH MY GOD
Never in my life have I heard such an amazing cover of a song. Goosebumps all over
The rhythm section of this band is impeccable. Felix and Benni just kill it, and being a drummer myself, I always appreciate a great bass player! Man, Benni is fantastic!
I have found a new obsession ..... Felix Lehrmann is an absolute beast
Made a tab of that sweet sweet lick at 3.20:
drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzkf02YX1VdwYUNZbGpjMUtBZDA/view?usp=sharing
Might do some more if someone is interested. Enjoy!
+Martin Miller let me know if you'd rather distribute this yourself
sounds like eric johnson
paul43700 yeah it does doesn't it.
Would you minding tabbing the rest pls XD
paul43700 Yeah like the beginning to Cliffs of Dover almost.
Any particular section you are interested in?
I´m sure Jimi is smiling at heaven for this... he´s flying in his little wing.
This cover gives such respect for the underlying of the song. Beautiful.
If Jimi were here...all he would do is humbly shake his head and...smile.
Hendrix would be proud. Starts like a pink floyd song though.
Subhronil Saha with that organ solo even Zappa
Jimi is looking down and smiling from ear to ear... Awesome Lads !!!
I have met a few like you in my time Jon.. Your glass is always half empty and you go right out of your way to find a negative with everything...Good luck with that !!!
What the fuck was that ????
Great, sooo great! U rule that mother..... thanks man! I listen to all your materiel, and i feel happy every time ;)
RockRiff888 you pulled the words out my mouth there mate! Aye!!!! 👍👍👍
Yes well anyone who can get within 5% of the original is probably doing very well
I feel like I just went to church after watching this performance. Freaking awesome. Keep up the brilliance, guys!
As a musician of 40 years I can appreciate the skill and complexity of these guys. Love them to bits. Keep on keeping it real guys ✌😎
Is it just me or do keys make everything sound even better
Often keys make stuff a lot worse...
This time the keys really fit the song
When jesus' 7th cousin twice removed on his mothers side is on keys they make it better
just you
A well timed rotary speaker on organ builds great synergy with
melodic guitar solos
This is the only Jimi Hendrix cover I've seen so far that actually lives up to the original songs, absolutely amazing. *Cryin*
Martin your covers and arrangements are like education. They're eyeopeners as to what more can be done with a song keeping the soul and feel of the song absolutely intact. Thank you so much for doing these.
When I get into my Hendrix mood, I always come back to pay respect to this cover. Still blows my mind how amazing it is after so many years!
Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind
That's running wild
Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams
And fairly tales,
That's all she ever thinks about
Riding the wind
When I'm sad she comes to me
With a thousand smiles
She gives to me free
It's alright, she says
It's alright
Take anything you want from me
Anything
Fly on, little wing
Beautiful - I'm sure the great man himself would have loved this incredible interpretation of his classic song. Fabulous!
The level of musical joyness of Benni Jud is something amazing!
I’m 62 and must of heard a couple hundred versions of this song. You pulled it off. And I cannot begin to tell you how much talent it takes to bring something to this song!
This is one of the best unique covers of Little Wing I have heard.
Only a few are allowed to cover this masterpiece, this is one of them
Absolutely stunning! I love the bassist voice, it’s so smooth and velvety...
Drums are just amazing.
The skill of this group is out of this world!
Marius's outfit is amazing as well as his organ carpet sounds. Ben's voice is soft and warm, Felix's beat is awesome and Martin's tone is soulful and his skills are crystal clear. Guys, what else I can say?
One of the best covers of Jimi’s masterpiece
Covering Hendrix (and let's be honest, SRV's version always come to mind when hearing this song) with a Tele-style guitar... bold... and nicely done.
Ibanez?
One of the greatest song written under sixty words.
Wow, really amazing, they regularly manage to wrestle the respective originals with their interpretation, the voices, the incredible instrumentation, paired with an extraordinary musical feeling from all the laws of gravity.
Que coisa linda de se ouvir!!!
Best pack of musicians all in one room. Love them. Savage talent
3:20 Eric Johnson Cliffs of dover
To me, SRV redefined this song and it has been my all time favorite version. Since then I've heard many dozens if not hundreds of covers of it from everyone on the planet, including some of my favorite players. This version, some 40 years down the road from the first time I heard the song, has redefined it for me again. Simply fantastic.
Jimi's version was sweet short and perfect. I like this version though. SRV's version is good but certainly not better than Jimi's. It goes on too long and then get a little repetitive.
As much as I love you guys and have heard all the new stuff, I just found this gem and seriously Martin, this was on another level. I can tell how into this song you guys were. Freaking drums and those ghost notes OMG! Everything about every part of this one had my jaw on the floor. Amazing performance! So great! Thank you!
When musicians like you, tackle a peace like this... it was amazing. Kept my face in an amazed look for the entire length. 👌🏻👌🏻 thanks for doing this and sharing your incredible skills! 👊🏻
Sounds great, the guitar solo was sick. Kinda wish you played the guitar intro though. :)
Que barbaridad de versión, impresionante.
Standing ovation for the craftsmanship! And well done all without exception! And thanks for the new version of the legendary Little Wing!
Been listening to this cover on and off for about a year now. And it’s still one of my favourite videos on the internet. Sensational cover of an incredible song. The solo is out of this world!
Love the guitar playing! It's some kind of Hendrix/Gilmour crossover... my two favourite guitarists of all time!
loved the happiness of the singer
Back in college, I used to know the Sting version of Little Wing and loved it. This improvisational version is even better!
Une interprétation définitive qui enterre toutes les autres, tous les musiciens sont incroyables de justesse, de sensibilité et de subtilité.
GREAT!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!! AWESOME!!!! WHAT A GREAT SONG!!!!!! JIMI HENDRIX IS SO PROUD AT THIS TIME!!!!
Esta versión me parece espectacular, y nuevamente ORIGINAL. Gracias Martin y tu banda por hacernos disfrutar de esta música con otra vuelta de tuerca. TODOS UDS. SON MUSICOS ESPECTACULARES!!!!!!!!
I had stop my car in the middle of the green light so that everyone could enjoy this beauty 🎉
That slight sigh of relief from the bass player at 3:53 says everything about the power of that solo, and groove as a whole. As a guitarist myself, I was deeply inspired by the playing I heard, and this new take on Little Wing, but I was also astounded by the keys player and that classic organ vibe. That drumming was incredible as well. Some of the best playing I've ever seen on youtube, or in general. I love you guys!
Love love love the organ solo!!
Beautiful . I loved the Intro, the Drums Guitar Keys Bass Vocals . . . everything and it slowly Peaks to 5 mins and stays peaked!
Beautiful
Probably the best original interpretation of this masterpiece I've heard since Clapton..very nice
The first song that touched my soul in 2020. Amazing guitar and keys, wonderful vocals. Thank you! :-)
İf jimi could listen this amazing cover, i am sure he was smiling :)
Every so often I come back to hear just how good an Ibanez can sound...played by a German named Martin Miller....lol exquisite talent..
Interpretação, arranjos, improvisos, tudo perfeito. Maravilhoso !!! Com certeza surpreendeu Hendrix.
Wish I coulda been there to hear the Leslie in person, . . . superb playing by everyone!
Ihr seid grossartig!! Nie zuvor ein so tolles Cover gehört. Kongeniales Spiel, jeder von Euch ein Meister ✌
IMPROVISATION??????? Man, that´s a masterpiece! Glorious.
Słuchając ich wykonania to tak jak by urosły ci skrzydła i mógłbyś latać w najpiękniejszym niebie przy wschodzącym wiosennym słońcu. Bajecznie !! Cudnie !! Dziękuję Panowie
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G version. Martin Miller and the rest of the crew, hats off, you've passed the game...now go onto something else! ;-) Best wishes!
i love how he play that sólo :) i am ecstactic
definitely this is my favorite version of little wing.
(sorry for bad english, although the phrase is short)
Martin is always my favorite guitarist
yes I dig the vibes. Fantastic version thx for sharing this
Liked the dude doin the boards. Whoa....hello...mr. keys stole the show !
Yep. Sometimes that smooth, groovy rock organ sound is the ONLY thing that can deliver.
Holy Shit Mr. Miller! You've Mastered the hell outa that String thing. All you gentlemen are Amazingly good.
I have listened to 127 versions of Little Wing on the utube. Such a great song. This video is my go to Little Wing fix. Thanks guys. 4.1M views, this was my 10001st.
Thanks for keeping rock and roll alive....🙏
amazing one of the best cover i`ve ever listened before
Loved this version of a great song !
Amazing guitar solo..... keep watching it over and over 😄
All of you guys are just amazing,i never heard one of your covers that was not perfect, ful of emotion and musicality.Top,Top.
So many tried to reproduce this song
Most of them failed
Some suceeded
This is the best one, ever, period.
Hendrix is pleased.
Pandu Andakara SRV: am I a joke to you?
All MMSB are great musicians and playing with soul and emotion.
Great job by Marius and his faw Hammond s sound!
@@ttropbo I love SRV but he didn't quite get the beauty of this song. Eric Clapton did - listen to his versions off The Rainbow Concert and Derek and The Dominoes Live At The Fillmore. Martin Miller also understands the beautiful nature of Little Wing.
xmandlt I will, thx for the suggestion
essa música pega na minha alma, esse cover só prova o quanto ela é perfeita e feita pra todo mundo que ama música tocar ela... Vocês são o motivo de eu ter sonho em aprender a tocar.
Everything about this was spot on ! My goosebumps are bursting! Thanx !
Absolutely amazing, guys.
Masterpiece. Thank you very much.
Best cover I've ever seen beside SRV's one
No words. Just no words.
superb. everyone was in control. no overlaping. just great music
Beautiful... awesome entry for the drums at 2:30...
Marius on the B3 is simply stellar here. Perhaps the only thing that would sound better would be sitting in the room to hear the Leslie in real life. :)
Please consider doing a few more songs with this simple quartet version of the band. As much as the larger ensembles create a wonderful thick, lush studio sound, this simple, basic arrangement allows each of the four performers to shine through in a very pure manner. Well done.
einfach nur megafett und Danke!!!
What an incredible performance. Fantastic interaction and solos of all four group members. Amazing interpretation which lets fly Little Wing higher. Super quality recording. Thank you so much. Please more.
This is ma favourite cover ever for this song! After Stevie Ray Vaughan 's version off course 😁. Nice job!
