2018 e-golf (Canadian version), seems power cut down to 50% when reaching 130 km/h

My family has this, it doesnt do this at 130, but rather at 150, could you tell me if you've found the reason to why it does that?

Maybe because in Canada the highest speed limit is 110 kph while in the US it is 85 mph (137 kph)
