Le Transdémonium front seat on-ride HD POV Parc Astérix Asterix

The theme of this spooky ghost train is based on the Middle Ages and takes place in the castle dungeons of Jean de Ténèbres (John of Darkness). a renowned alchemist that was given the task of locking spirits and ghosts away before they cause the Apocalypse of the first millennium. Manufactured by WGH Transportation at a cost of €6,2 million, the attraction opened in 2003 and is the first and only dark ride at Parc Astérix, which is located north of Paris in Plailly, France.

For thoses of whom who don't know much about the ride itself;
Back in 2003, the ride was supposed to be a thrill ride, meaning that it was mostly composed of tight turns and bumps, and thus, it was way faster. Due to the fastness of the ride, the jumpscare were more effective. But due to a lot of complaints coming from parents, the operators were forced to slow it down.
The whole "fastness" of the ride is the reason why the animatronics are lacking details, because you weren't supposed to see them for too long.

I dont think all of them were animatronics because that would scare me a little (LOT) so anyway that was a very peaceful ride btw didnt seem broken to me.

It is sad to see that this ride is so poorly maintained because its a great ride in terms of atmosphere, esspecially in the early days where the whole ride was filled with mist.

Ha, I knew the lights were amazing back then. That's it, the mist is missing!

Too bad a lot of the animatronics aren't working properly, and since they're quite old-school in design, fixing them shouldn't be much of a problem. I saw the same issues 5 years ago... It's a shame really, because the atmosphere on this ride is great. I just wish they maintained it better. Especially the carroussel..

In the video I see it a bit boring and maybe too long.
Maybe its better in real of course.

It was also better the first years, with working props, amazing lights thanks to the mist, and above all, variable speed with sudden accelerations!
