- Logitech just revealed their new PRO X 60 gaming keyboard...a wireless 60% keyboard with optical switches for $180. That's it. That's the keyboard. The whole keyboard. A wireless optical 60% keyboard in 2024 just released for $180. What?

For everyone telling me not to review it still...I already did last week lol czcams.com/video/L5wtS0U2HnI/video.html
we need more RagingFrankP
yeah, but maybe cut it down to shorter video. 12 minutes is just way too much, it was going over and over "180 USD, what are they thinking?". Could be 3 minutes quickie and would deliver same message and would be more enjoyable video. But I get it, content creators have to reach this 10-minute mark to get those nice bucks from ads. But I hate it. So much of unnecessary content filler.
A new tech rant side channel called RagingFrankP would go kinda hard ngl
Great name.

Logitech think they’re apple
😂😂 deadass
Rather own something Logitech than Apple.
@@verts_tv apple has actually good products tho with amazing qc. Its expensive but good. Logitech is just expensive
at least apple USUALLY add some of their own flair to an old feature before adding it to the iPhone
@@josko144 whats qc? apple ecosystem is really good, but its not for everyone, there are negatives with both going android or apple phones for example, iphones will have support for a long time + gets cheaper to repair over the years meanwhile most androids atleast the more expensive ones stay around the same price with parts over the years. also iOS when turned off and then turned on but not unlocking it will leave it in a highly encrypted state where even feds are struggling HARD to even unlock it. atleast for a12 and newer, since you can checkm8 a11 and lower
When companies get too comfortable
Just sit and watch Shroud claiming this is unrivaled technology and is totally worth it.
Esports players are paid to use this crap so him saying they're forced is just false they have a choice to take the sponsorship or not. People will say just about anything for $$ to keep their life style up.
I doubt you will see Shroud use this thing, he plays WoW, doubt he will give up his function key row.
Shroud doesn't know a fuckin thing about his computer.
@@souswodaem1who the hell uses their fn keys lmao
@@gulagchampxd i use it often but thats because the game I play uses the function keys for stuff
Don't worry bro, in canada the keyboard is fucking 249.99$ .This is ridiculous. Better be hand crafted with fucking diamond at this point.
Danmmm 😮😮😮
idk I built my own keyboard and it doesn’t have half the random ass features he’s complaining about but it’s a damn pretty work of art costed me $750 US all said and done plus my own hours of labor i think yall that’re buying your boards fully built in best buy need to temper your expectations of what these mass market products are gonna provide 😂
@@thesteelsideSure, but there are many hobbyist boards that cost the same $180 once you’ve fully built them up. Meanwhile this thing is absolutely dogwater and $180. Hell, you could get a metal cased Keychron in one of like 6 form-factors for less if you want it fully built.
I built my own Wooting for about the same price, wow
@@thesteelside I also have a custom board, but that's a different ballpark. This logitech keyboard is not trying to appeal to us with fancy metal slabs but rather tryhard or professional gamers that play games competitively for a living. Other boards have these same features for far less, and often times more features. So the keyboard itself might not be bad at all, but the issue is being way too expensive and lacking way too much compared to what it tries competing with.
You're absolutely right. They seem so uninterested in research and development that they're just selling you their brand name for the same old product.
They are just money milking all this bs, stupid people keep buying all their shit when they only do the most minimum update to their peripherals and inflate more their prices.
Frank pissed about a 60% keyboard while I'm sitting here refusing to use anything that doesn't have a numpad.
Same! Finally swapped out my beaten-up, hand-me-down K70 with a Wooting Two last month.
shout out from all 60% users, we respect your grind
Yep. Razer Huntsman Elite here. Use my numpad every time I'm on my PC.
numpad gang 🤙 , Wooting is awesome for making a "wooting two"
As a 65% user, whenever I use a full keyboard, it's so awkward that id have to look down to find the dedicated for that very function. 😅
Logitech is pissing me off too. I can't get their shitty software to launch anymore. Won't uninstall properly or anything.
I've never had a problem with their software that wasn't caused by Windows error that forced me to have to reinstall the OS.
Try Revo uninstaller to get the software off. If that doesn't work then it's a Windows 10/11 issue and probably requires a fresh OS install.
@@TheZoenGaming hard pass on a fresh install when that's the only piece of software not working. Thanks for the suggestion though.
@@shanedixon6627 can confirm that revo (and maybe manual leftover cleanup) is the way to go.

Logitech used to be a pillar of the PC peripheral community. Since the last couple years, all of my mice and keyboards have had issues or failed.
I had two G502 mice. Both started double clicking within 6 months. Switched to razer deathadder v2. No problems. Plus Synapse is SO MUCH better than GHUB. Its unreal.
This keyboard is listed at $400 in Australia lol. Thats more than my custom Wooting 60HE cost to build....
Ikr its just crazy down here. Thoughts on the Wooting? I'm planning to get one :)

@@femboimaid alright I'll get it thanks
LMAO "Put it back in the box"
The G502 is the last and only Logitech peripheral I still use.
Same for me, it was my first gaming mouse but the last Logitech gaming mouse
@Blockthecreeper It's a bad ass mouse. The best thing Logitech has ever done, honestly. I'll get another one if mine ever breaks.
my 502 lightspeed is my favorite with the wireless charger pad aswell

Love the effect of the bubble! Over on top under on bottom, really cool.
What is logitech doing? It's like a Huntsman mini with the price of a wooting hahahaha
logitech always has been like this(or atleast the last 2-4 years)... i cant believe you guys took such long time to realize it but i guess better than never
This is first time them not innovating is actually making a difference tho? Their mice up until now could hang with the other top flagships, even if they were missing some of the new essential features like type c,polling rate etc.@@stiegelzeine2186
Wireless makes stuff more expensive but this is still way overboard.
Maybe 20$ more for it to be wireless?
@@chaniibak7702 Yeah too expensive nontheless
good to see tech youtubers go after companys with a lack of innovation that still charge these absurd prices!
Always love your honest reviews.
it's good you made this, fellas gotta stop being complacent when these major companies do this shit. Call them out fuckin damn right
This keyboard should've been in a new category in their lineups. "BUDGET FRIEDNLY"
I'm so grateful you and a couple other CZcamsrs exist that would actually do this this it's* reminding me of the viper pro from razer
The messed up thing about that keyboard is that they used to let you customize keys and buttons to do just about anything you want before G Hub. And then, all they let you customize was the G keys some of their keyboards had and the F-key row. That's it. So as far as Logitech keyboards go, that's actually a big change. It's just a change that SHOULD have been standard and never stopped being standard. Even today, a lot of companies have software they only does soft remapping , so the software has to be running for the remap to take effect, even though a lot of these keyboards advertise hardware profile storage. This should not be one of the only features notable enough to be marketed on the product box. The entire industry needs to do better. This is something that, even though they have a lot of their own problems, Corsair has been doing right for years now. Every keyboard they've released for probably about a decade now has had on-board hardware remapping that you don't need their software running to use (You can map it, save it to the onboard profile, and uninstall the software). I'm going to assume the remapping Logitech is making a big fuss about finally doing is the same sort of shit implementation Razer does, which is limited to only working if the software is running in the background, and will stop functioning if the software ever hangs in the background.
Logitech still not incorporating a powerplay puck into their keyboards is still baffling to me. One reason I won't even touch any other mice right now is because of how much I love not ever having to plug in my mouse. I'm still sitting on my Superlight V1. Hoping for a faster turnaround on V3 or for another competing company to figure out how to add wireless charging to their devices as well.
Between this and the Logitech webcam video Frank is going to war with Logitech 😂
The Logitech G pro racing wheel is also way overpriced.
Raging Frank P 😂😂😂 love it
I appreciate you notating this stuff, i am a casual user, and been debating on a compact wireless keyboard lately for my new laptop, so seeing the issues and learning there are other brands/options i really appreciate it.
Unfortunately, i feel like you should buy and do even a 5 minute review on. it will either validate this video, or backfire on you so it will let you get ahead of the curve as in be forward about being "wrong" if you are
Raging Frank is hilarious, I caught that right away… Good info and thanks for saving us time on research.
This needs to be a series "RagingFrankP WTF?"
"dual-shot" PBT says it all. Logitech is so far behind they don't even know it's called "double-shot"
Maybe it's a patented
@@evaone4286it's not but they could use a slightly different process
nah man they got gmk dualshot on each board thats why its 180 😂
This the first video from you to show on my page in a while. Not sure why. I'm subbed.
Yo frank! idk if you touched on this subject or not, but what are your thoughts on the Wooting 80HE? I'm debating on preordering, but wanted to hear your thoughts!
Man, how the mighty have fallen. Hard to vouch for Logitech lately. Sad timeline
Definitely like these style of videos. Logitech has definitely fizzled out and it’s sad to see no creativity from them.
I thought the exact same thing when I saw this. Felt like this was a product that should have launched back in 2019.
My Superlight mouse from 2023 recently started malfunctioning causing it to trigger the right click when clicking left. It's been a month since I reported the issue and still don't have my replacement. Im avoiding this brand in the future.
For that price, Laughs in Wooting 60HE
Yes tell it how it is Frank because tech companies need to realise that charging a premium without premium features is just unacceptable. Thank you for your honesty.
No Rapidtrigger, no magnetic switches, but some asian kid is going to win worlds with this sponsored keyboard and it will go viral.
Love it Frank! Keep it real 👌
LOVE this side of frank, we want more
Edgin to this rn
6:03 $449.99 for that
It feels like they had this developed a while back along with the TKL or even the Pro X, then they just held back on releasing it until interest in their current lineup went down, if this is true it means management is out of touch and is looking only at spreadsheets.
MKBHD and now you. I love it! Stick it to the man!
i'm not spending $180 on a keyboard with specs like that.
go get em frank
We definitely need more RagingFrankP. Shits hilarious lol
Ty for this video!
Logitech becoming the Apple of the peripherals industries with overprices features less shit
No one should be buying Logitech at anything less than 50% off. Their shit is not worth msrp at all. You'd have to be stupid to pay full price
I throughly enjoyed this video. U literally said everything I was thinking when I saw this release...
Someone hold him back!!! You gotta start doing what grinds your gears vids 😂
Honestly the current keyboard landscape is depressing in my opinion. And the gamers literally asked for it, we now get smaller keyboards with lesser build quality (remember when mechanical keyboards were mad out of metal and companies would drive a car across them and they'd be fine and use that as an ad?) all the while they are just more expensive! I remember when I could get a full sized keyboard with macro keys to go along, and full row of multimedia keys for half this price and I would replace it because I was sick and tired of looking at it, the thing just wouldn't give out.
huge facts!! full size hardcore build was a must !! practicality, a usefull product!!. its pointless to evolve all this years to make shittier smaller keyboards. multimedia keys are so good to have, and not with a dam "FN" in the middle.
@@YuProduccionesthen larger, 80-100% keyboards are more your thing lol. The entire appeal of smaller keyboards is the fact that you get more mousing space. Much of higher level fps gaming involves super light mice on super low sensitivity so we can be more accurate in game, this requires much more mousing space that bigger keyboards cannot offer comfortably. Wooting originally released a full size(?) or a TKL early on before the 60HE, and now Wooting is coming out with an 80% keyboard called the 80HE if you are interested in bigger keyboards
additionally, keyboards nowadays are much more about the PCB features inside the board and also the software experience. it's unfortunate that many keyboards are now plastic, but an argument against that is that many gamers who buy the wooting (not sure abt other brands) will likely modify it and maybe swap it into a metal case. Wooting provided a simple but decent plastic case because they know their customer base will ultimately modify the keyboard at some point, which they actually encourage and have done so by making their keyboard as modifiable as possible
bro really just called Twitter "X" lol

@@FUOBL3ZE I've literally never heard anyone (who still uses it) actually call it that lol
Happy that was your only takeaway from this video
Got your point here and yeah I think big "known" companies does this most of the time. That's why I think many start-ups brands are getting ahead because they know what the trend is and they know what to offer :)
Volume rocker is actually my dream position from when I first when compact with my Drop ALT back in 2019. even then, I would likely prefer a 65% where I have an extra 4 buttons which I can reprogram to dedicated volume anyways.
This feature is a dream but it limits what you can do with the case and PCB, so if you're going to introduce it, you better go hard, and Logitech just... didn't.
I love my Ajazz AK820 Pro which I got for $48.59. Has a volume knob and mini screen I can upload animated Gifs. I have the Solar Eclipse on it right now. Stock out of the box sounds great (a little marbley and clicky). Might add some 1/16" Neoprene Rubber foam, some bandaid mod for stabilizers, Tape mod to make sound a little deeper, etc. but it's a great cheap hotswappable mechanical keyboard for under $50 from epomaker.
Logitech pulled off an "Internet Explorer" in tech specs slapped with a premium price tag. 😂
Thank you for making this video!! This kind of corporate greed really needs to be called out! Studies are showing that the VAST majority of inflation we're seeing in our economy is due to massively increasing profit margins, not increasing costs to produce (labor or materials). Corporate greed is a runaway train right now and this is an EXCELLENT example of this! Rebrand features that EVERY keyboard has had for a decade and slap the name brand on it and hope that people buy it.
I strongly recommend that you don't buy this. Give your review with your wallet. You don't need to test it yourself to know that it's absolute BS.
Love RagingFrankP for sure!
Great video man! Been a subscriber for awhile, quick question-
Do you think this new “key control” features on board changes? This would be great since 60% keyboards don’t naturally have arrow keys. It’s one of the downsides of gaming with peripherals on ps5 lol. I find that without arrow keys on my current 60% redragon fizz pro it’s impossible to navigate through the menu :( if anybody has any solutions or comments that would be great!
This is well edited. You step up your production game recently? If so good job.
Soo I just bought the pro x tkl light speed with gx brown tactile switches. Which I’m returning because I like the full size keyboard. Logetic has the full size keyboard , should I try that out or should I go for a different brand? I need the quiet switches cause the ol lady and the newborn need more silence. Would appreciate some knowledge frank , thank you 🙏
somewhat unrelated, but is the Logitech Options software as much of a headache as its gaming counterpart? I use Options and would like to know any insufferable things about it.
All opticals are hotswap and so are these, they have no contact points so you just squeeze the sides and pop them out, then pop another in, i do this with my original razer huntsman 1st version and always laugth when i see people taking it apart to swap the keys, u just use a normal keypuller to squeeze the sides, rock and pull. All opticals just clip in place and can be swapped. Of course, you need to be able to buy the same keys to swap them, e.g i bought razer reds to swap out from purple on WSAD. Edit. Just remembered i had to slip a thin flat screwdriver to pry them up a little first, but ye, by design they have no electricals and clip in place and when you press them it blocks a laser, or or allows a laser to pass through, so if they just clip in then they can be removed and swapped just with a bit more effort than one designed to be swapped.
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if a good amount of the Logitech Razer lineups are filled with high margins too. I really like their higher end gaming mice but I wonder how much their profit ratio is on the ~$150 mice are. Have we partially just got normalized to paying it?
Looks just like the Koorui 60% I got for $24 and moded lol. Does all the same things and you just gotta mod it only ended spending $55 total and its pretty good.
I've own several Logitech keyboards esp their MX key series, and while I always love to recommend them (because of the overall quality and extremely superb wireless connection), I really am having a hard time convincing them further because I do agree on how pricey most of Logi's flagship peripherals ever since from almost the past decade now (like you can simply try to google all their previous high tier products and they've always been on the expensive level).
Remaster for keyboards g13, g15, g19, please.
Optional g710+, g810 .
Mice remaster needed for g9x and g903,
for gamepads please update f510 and f710
and also g pro wheel needs additional interchangable wheels.
Thank you for listening. 🎉
Haven't bought any logitech stuff since like 2018 or so. The last thing I got was the Logitech Brio 4k webcam. I'm not happy with the direction they're going. I'm happy with Corsair myself (since all my accessories except my soundbar is Corsair/Elgato)
Back when I bought my Corsair K63 Wireless in 2018 this Logitech board was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Lol
Ever since I built my first keyboard using a keychron layout and gateron inkv2s I don’t know why people even bother with these companies anymore
All opticals "should" be hot-swappable because there's no soldering involved. But that depends on whether they are the correct Cherry switch body, which they may not be. I remember the old Romer G wasn't Cherry bodies.
I love the 100% keyboards that have the same footprint as a TKL, Keychrons Q5 is my absolute favorite right now
I used to a logitech fanboy cus of their anywhere series.. and now that finally built a gaming pc, i was looking to logitech for gaming peripherals as well. But the keyboars mostly all seemed so disappointing.. so i built a monsgeek m1 instead.. now im still interesting in the g502x if goes ok sale again
The internet explorer of gaming keyboard brands.
what about the hyperx alloy rise it has a price of 200 for a full keyboard and 170 for a 75%. It looks like there isn't anything special about it either except for light detecting features.
I got one on Aliexpress, mechanical, for £17. But i came to find out i hate the 60 layout. More time consuming if u have to press F keys and other peripheral keys often. Even arrow keys have an extra key press
We def Raging FrankP more often!
That turdboard coming out of the doggie during the intro is LOL!! I feel the same for the Corsair K100 Air too...
I love what they did with the G915 one of my favorite Logitech keyboards with how flat the keys are. I just wish there white one came out with a clicky key version so i switched to the Razer Blackwidow v4 pro 75% orange keys
I still love their mouses, headsets, and the layout they use for the keyboard but that was my only gripe with them
I ordered a new mouse and was supposed to get a free promo case with it. Didn't get the case so reached out to their support. They basically told me the are not going to send it despite what their website says.
I've been done with Logitech for a while. Multiple mice that have all developed a double-clicking issue. The G413 Silver's switches were dog water, and the switch for the space bar literally broke in half. (It was only after a few years of moderate use, and I feel like that shouldn't have happened.)
LogiKEK. They made the Pro X Superlight and fell asleep after.
not having RT is stupid. but im still giving them chance who knows they might release an update that activates that turns the optical to analog opticals like razers 🤔 like what they did on the gpx 2
Ya I was looking at the corsair line up. They got the features but the prices are ridiculous.
Rapid trigger, and mechanical or optical was what I was looking for and wooting was cheaper.
I went with red dragon newest mk703 if I recall it's on the way for 80 bucks.
