My late Father was immensely fond of Nina Simone. I had forgotten about her until I saw an interesting movie called "Point of No Return" starring Bridget Fonda. Nina's great music was played throughout the movie, restoring my deep admiration for her (Nina, not Bridget - no offense) and appreciation of my Daddy.

My older sister turned me on to this song and then she passed away in my arm s in UCSD hospital every time I listen to the song I fall apart and I can't stop listening to it I'm grabbing my dad my mom and my oldest sister all the same time I have two psychiatrists and one psychotherapist talking about coming up with excuses talk about coming up with repetitive excuses not to do something as others would consider stupid I consider it to be an end to my pain

I first heard this beautiful version over 25 years ago when I was in the downstairs part of HMV in Manchester. The vocal stopped me in my tracks. Eventually, I asked the assistant who it was. It is just such an incredible performance.❤
