1959 war Bertrand Russell, der mit dem Nobelpreis ausgezeichnete Philosoph, Mathematiker und Friedensaktivist kurz vor seinem 87. Geburtstag, als er der BBC und der CBC umfangreiche Interviews gab. In dieser Aufnahme gibt Russell einer Generation, die 1.000 Jahre in der Zukunft lebt, Einsichten fürs Leben - Einsichten über kritisches Denken, Liebe und Toleranz. Interviewer: John Freemann.

Bertrand Russell (1872-1970) war ein britischer Philosoph, Logiker, Mathematiker, Historiker und Gesellschaftskritiker. An verschiedenen Stellen seines Lebens hielt er sich für einen Liberalen, einen Sozialisten und einen Pazifisten, aber er gab auch zu, dass er im Grunde nie wirklich einer von ihnen gewesen war.

@@ajpi6220 That's a long discussion and doesn't pertain to him exclusively. It is typical the whole bunch of his ilk to this day. There was, for instance, a discussion with a pretty brilliant theologican which he blundered through using pure rhetoric evasion, going against everything he says here.
I admit I am unwilling to enter a discussion of these matters since at any rate they are ubiquitous. For instance, materialists _(hiding behind the euphemism "physicalist")_ habitually consider their own metaphysical prejudice and "religious" fanatism _(in their hopes for an automatic if negative salvation through death)_ "facts" which couldn't be further from the truth.

The truest highest expression of ourselves so we can tdevelop greatness and goodness in our characters along also to reconnect with Allah the only Allah the eternal love, connection attachments and expectation and relationship and his last beloved and our beloved prophet Mohamed peace upon on Him

Does anyone here actually believe that an idea a la "let's hate less and love more" comes from Bertrand Russell? It is one of the most simplistic statements ever and just not smart. If you think that the above video is an intellectual masterpiece, you should first study the basic things of literature. Russle is nonetheless a terrific thinker, but this effusion belonged in a cereal box back then.
