Cornelia Jakobs har tävlat i Melodifestivalen både som artist och låtskrivare. 2011 och 2012 medverkade hon som en del av gruppen Love Generation, och förra året var hon en av låtskrivarna bakom Efraim Leos "Best of Me".
Hon började spela i band på mellanstadiet och ser sig som en liveartist, med starka kreativa visioner musikaliskt och visuellt och med ett sound som är organiskt, filmiskt, känslostarkt och tidlöst.

Its not about gender at all but people just get pretty tired of the same thing over and over and wished for just more varity in our songs and genres. Great pop is fine no matter if it comes from a he or she. It's more about the fact that people is tired hearing pop all the time from us. It's just refreshing with a strong female performance after so many years of men that have been to Eurovision many years in a row.

@@Merecir Ja det kan man tycka. Men jag tänkte mest på Italien och Finlands jury som gav Cornelia full pot! Jag var så inne i att just Cornelia skulle vinna att jag inte ens kunde bry mig om mina andra favoriter. Nu i efterhand så hade jag helst velat att det såg aning annorlunda ut för de andra. Vissa förtjänade bättre och andra lägre.
Jag hade fel om Finland juryn. De gav henen 10 p inte full pot. Men Hon fick två 12 p så det bra :)

🤭Yes the juries saved us! I felt that Anders really was the favorite from our people and in my opinion they have no taste because he was not even my top 5. Cornelia was also a favorite from the people but I know Anders is the more popular one so I had prepered myself for a possible bad end and had my pillow close by so I could scream into it if Anders had won. But instead I just hugged the pillow in happiness and just felt so relieved that Cornelia won instead!

Well... to be fair, Sweden actually chose a man, and the international juries chose a woman.
Anders Bagge got 90 p (out of a total 96 p), while Cornelia got 70 p, from the app and televoters.

The whole pose at the drop around 1:30 was so damn powerful and epic. True consentration and it was even better in this winning performance somehow, even after winning and being shaken up you can see her going completely in the zone.

One can hope😊 It is very early but looking at the odds it looks like Ukraine would win with Italy in second place and Sweden in third.
I looked up Ukraines song and it wasn't my favorite buy the comments seemed like sympathy voting more than liking the song to me. First, I support Ukraine and I hope this war ends soon ❤️ but I'm not going to sympathy vote because of it. Second, even if the war ends before ESC and Ukraine is still a country, Ukraine won't afford to host ESC next year with most of its money going to rebuilding the country. I just hope people will vote for the song because they like the best not because they feel sorry for them. ❤️

Sweden usually does well with the people. Except for 2018 lol. What "the fans" care about really doesn't matter. Last year Tusse did better with televotes than the juries.
