    My recommendations
    Tribit stormbox micro 2 - $60 - 8/10 -
A really great sounding speaker at an affordable price and also very compact. Perfect for biking or the beach.
In addition, an application with an equalizer and a battery indicator is available
    Soundcore Motion 300 - $80 - 7/10 -
Great sounding speaker with a nice customizable EQ and an adaptive EQ that changes the sound depending on position. But it can distort sometimes
    JBL Partybox Encore - $300-330 - 9/10 -
A good loudspeaker with deep bass for a party. It has an equalizer app and has bass boost options that make it even better
will enhance the party. Additionally, there are 2 microphones in the box (USA) and 1 microphone in the EU. I even prefer the encore to the boombox 3. New models have now better battery. - If you want to support me, subscribe my channel!

Super Video !

Great video, I lean towards the Soundcore, mostly because I own one and very impressed by size and weight how good it sounds.
Also as an older person am not impressed with led lights and such.
But please, in the future, separate speakers more, because of the passive sound coming from sides.
    Defeats the purpose of comparison.

@@666Lachrimae666 I dunno man. I've got both. While the soundcore does sound "cleaner" and "clearer", and good for certain genres of music, for sure (classical and vocals especially), the Ribbit (as you call it) 😂 just sounds more substantial for other types of music. I do like my Partybox Encore better than both, though. I do agree with you that mids on the Soundcore are the best among the three.

@@corndog9482 Well my issue man is that I'm looking for a replacement speaker.. ya see I've had an Oontz angle 3XL Ultra with me for many many years and it's not broken or anything just.. getting old and I feel like it's almost time for a replacement for a portable speaker so I've been looking around on Amazon reviews, CZcams reviews etc and I'm all kinds of confused on what to go with honestly. I am a little picky. I have a money budget of about $200, 150 more precisely. I like music loud, granted the Oontz only has 24 watts but damn when you turn her up it goes UP. It can easily fill our entire backyard up with sound so... idk wattage isn't much of an issue. Long battery life is a deciding factory as well. So I've been torn between these two speakers I think.. the reason I trashed the tribit a bit is because I watched another CZcams review of a sound battle between these two and the tribit just didn't sound clear at all, it's really bass heavy from the sound of it but everything else is like poo... and I listen to a ton of different music genres so having everything (bass, mids And trebles) all prevalent and strong is a big factor for me. I cant have the bass be strong but everything else be kinda crappy you know what I mean? On the Oontz everything sounds great and always has it's been an awesome ass speaker all these years especially since it only costed me $100 when it was new. Best purchase I ever made.

    • @corndog9482
      @corndog9482 Před rokem +2

@@666Lachrimae666 I get ya, man. From reading your comment, I feel we're a lot alike when it comes to music equipment.
I'm in the camp where if possible, I like my music as balanced as possible. I usually shy away from bass heavy speakers and headphones, and I value quality mids the most.
My music tastes vary as widely as it can get, just like you. Anything, from classical, vocals, soundtracks, classic rock, 50's/60's/70's/80's rock and pop, dance/electronic, folk, jazz, r&b, hip/hop - but mostly classical, jazz, vocals, soundtracks (symphonic) and live performances.
The worst kind of speaker (imo) are the ones that all it has is bass, and/or when they have a heavy "V" tune to it.
With all that said, I have various headphones and speakers that are good for certain sounds. This is the best I can compare the ones I have:
Soundcore MB Plus: Clean & balanced. Tuned for upper mids and treble clarity. Detailed crisp and most transparent out of the bunch. Good for some genres, but anemic in the bass, depending on genre. It may sound excellent with an acoustic guitar performance, but will sound anemic with genres, like pop/hip-hop/electronic. The bass is punchy, but doesn't reach deep, so you will be missing sounds. King for portability and ease of commute.
Stormbox Blast: Longer battery life (30hrs vs 20hrs of the MB+). It's substantially heavier, but I would say the difference in weight between the two can be heard in the sound, if you know what I mean. While the MB+ does sound "cleaner" and more resolved up high, it's anemic below the mids.
The Blast may not be as 'crystal clear' up high, it does have respectable mids, and the lower end is much more full sounding and capable. In my opinion, the loss up high and upper mids is a worthy trad-off in this particular case. The speaker is surprisingly tunable for stronger mids/treble, though not as flexible as I would want. Still, the sound is remarkably good for being a 'boombox'. Just like you, I was a little worried that it might have sounded 'muddy' and 'boxy', but to my surprise, it's actually not. The bass reaches down substantially lower, and the quality of bass is nice, resulting in a much more robust, and full sound.
The MB+'s bass, in contrast sounds rather forced. It sounds like it wants to sound bigger than it can put out, hence, the "pok pok!" I commented. The woofer of the MB+ sounds like it's going to pop. If I turned down the gain on the lower frequencies to remedy the woofer pop (distortion), the sound becomes leaner than I like - anemic, thin, and just not very pleasant to my ears. The Blast is probably the best overall - jack of all trades, master of none.
Looks, of course, is subjective. The MB+, lacking any lights, has a more subdue/classy look. The Blast is "LED look at me!" I'm not usually a fan of this RGB craze, and almost always choose no RGB when I have a choice (like when building PCs), but I do have to say that the RGB implementation is fun, unique, and interesting here. Kinda of a retro look and feel to it. I dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The Partybox Encore has the most presence. Bass goes down shockingly low for the size of the woofer. The mids and treble is decent as well. I would put the mids and treble on a similar class as the Blast, but the Encore is much more directional. The Blast will sound better from more angles. But when standing right in front, I would give the edge to the Encore. The bass on this one just can't be beat compared to the others I mentioned.
The Encore is also better at playing at low volumes at night compared to the Blast, as the volume increments are not as small. So, the lowest may be too quiet by a little, but one step up may be a smidge too loud. Battery life is pathetic, though, lasting 10hrs. Comes with 2 mics. This model can be found for $250 on Ebay if you look carefully. Found mine brand new in box for $250. Regular price is $399. Another extra thing I thought I'd mention is this. My Encore is actually pulling double duty. Most of the time it sits under my desk, and is connected to my desktop chain pulling subwoofer duty. When I want to take it with me, I just disconnect the 3.5mm headphone cable, and I'm off. When it's connected to my desk for sub duty, I turn down the treble and mids all the way from the app once (never have to open it again. until you want to chance it back), and I can't believe how competent it is doing that.
JBL does have another almost exactly the same speaker, just ever-so-slightly (but noticeable) less deep/loud/clear, but is much cheaper. Battery life is even worse on this model, but if you're technically inclined, there are many how have modded theirs and added tons of battery life to it. Doesn't come with mics, but has 3/4" input, and can be found on Ebay for around $150.
I do have other speakers, but I would say in the $150-ish price range, these are the best right now.

@@corndog9482 Battery life is definitely a concern because the Oontz never had fantastic battery life. At full volume she usually dies after about 7 hours, granted the volume is great but still.. I do have a JBL Partybox 710 so... I do know a little something about crazy bass XD but Normally (especially with the portable speaker that I use during showers, garage work, yard work etc.) I don't care if it has outrageous BOOMING bass, i'm not really a Bass head in that way but if it does Thump i'm not gonna complain. ya know.
As for music taste I go: pop and metal being my Favorite genres, disco, southern rock, country, 50s-80s music, r&b, rap, hip hop, emo/screamo, punk, rock, alt rock & pop punk, Grunge, goth rock, electro, D&b, bluegrass, & boybands. o3o but I also listen to movie and game soundtracks as well. Can't Honestly say i'm into classical music xD..
Whenever I hear the Tribit in reviews It just sounds like it's so bass heavy and doesn't really care about the mids and trebles that much... and that bothers me. I know there's an app to "equal" it all out but... I shouldn't have to do that xD My Oontz doesn't have an app at all, everything just Sounds balanced from the start, nothing is overpowering the other or lacking and it still has Three passive bass radiators on it to make the bass still sound pretty boomy. The Oontz, as stupid of a brand name as it is, XDDDDD has been an AMAZING portable bluetooth speaker. I swear... for having paid only $100 for it New when it was released it's been the best thing I ever bought and idk if i'm ever going to find a speaker that's better than it's been to me over all these years. I'll never know why it's now discontinued because it's Such a good speaker.
Looks of portable bluetooth speakers really don't matter to me, little inconsequential things like the look of it and whether it has a strap really don't matter. The Oontz is just a black long triangle essentially xD and has No strap or carrying handle (probably why it's only $100.. or was..) but omg the Sound quality and the volume it can reach. it's worth so much more imo. I know JBL makes good speakers the JBL PartyBox 710 has been an absolute BEAST, we use it on the weekends for outdoor parties but can't really get much louder than 50% volume xD I played it at 100% volume one time so far since having it and walked outside of my Entire neighborhood and heard it plain as day and saw a few people outside their house looking around as if to say "wtf is that" LOL Don't know if I want to spend JBL money though... i'd like to keep how much I spend in the $150-200 range if I can o3o.
Thank you so much for the informative &, surely, time consuming reply. It will certainly help in my decision ^.\\ \m/
