That's a good way too. What I was told to do was pull the lever all the way up as if opening the hood. And at the very top of the swing pull it outwards and it will pop off from the clips. It has worked for me. Though I might try your method the next time.
Great tip! Let us know which way works better for you!
That's was realy helpful, thanks body
You're welcome!
Excellent tip....
Thanks!
Nice video bro
Thanks!
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
Hello, I have a 2011 Kia Sorento and the hood does not open, I think the cable broke but on the hood part, could you help me to open it?
Can you here the latch try to open at the hood? Have someone hold the patch and pull gently up on the hood and it may open.
@@AnthonyJ350 hello good day, thanks for answering me, we have already tried to do it, we even went with a bodybuilder, but we could not, if you would be so kind as to upload a video if there is a way to open it
I live in Mexico and the Kia Sorento are not very common
@@caspicasinada5360 No idea without seeing the vehicle. Best to bring it to a body shop
@@AnthonyJ350 thanks, have a nice day
😊
Thanks for watching!
Well… I thought I’d see more but ok
Can't figure it out?
@@AnthonyJ350 He may have been looking for removal and replacement of the panel to fix the hood latch not working like I did. This was helpful in getting off the handle, but the rest of it would be helpful to see in a video.
I will say I was able to use this video to get the handle off quickly and removing the panel was straightforward, but I am a DIYer and have had experience working on cars. If you were to put together a longer video that shows removing the panel and repairing the cable loosening up, i suggest adding a small zip tie to hold it in place. I just did that on my wife's 2020 Palisade to fix the hood latch not opening, and not being too familiar with this particular vehicle, I knocked it out in 15 minutes.
@@TGWraith But the title says "Lever" specifically. This was the topic I wanted to cover. @anotheruserameugh didn't contract me to make a particular video.
This is what I chose to cover, because I know this portion would hold people up.
@@AnthonyJ350 Hey man, I was just sharing my perspective which may or may not have been the same. I'm not trying to attack but only offer feedback and ideas for a future videos if you want them. Good luck with your channel.
@@TGWraith But the title says what the video is about. What more do you want? I didn't have enough time to make a video disassembling more.
Was the title misleading?
