@christopherrevilla6478 Ya, I've been contemplating grabbing them, but I feel like as soon as I do, the OGs will be slated to release.. They released so many different collabs and colorways of the Penny 2 over the past year, or so it crazy!! I'm sure Nike did that purposely because if they released OGs first, all the others wouldn't sell nearly as good

Got these for Christmas in '96. I bragged to my friends that I was getting the black colorway, but my folks got these instead because they were on sale for $98. Shoutout to my folks! ❤

I got the black pair and cried when my bubble busted and I had to return them, but they were sold out so I couldn't get another pair. I remember I ended up getting the black pair of Grant Hill 3s and they couldn't fill the void in my heart.

Penny 2’s & Jordan 13’s are my two favorite shoes of all time!!! My parents never bought me them when I was in 3rd grade! But even better, I got em in my 30’s!!!😂😂😂

I remember crying in Marshall’s back in 98 when the penny 2s were on sale. My parents didn’t give me those so I cry and they said you keep crying I’ll give you something to cry for. But then a few months later my parents went and bought me the original Jordan 13 flint.

Man, how dope to have rocked an OG Jordan @ 8 years old !!!!!! Thank You Mom & Dad, I know it wasn't easy with 5 of us to raise and buy clothes / shoes for !!!
P.S. - Also, got the OG Jordan 14 " Oxidized Green " just a few months later for my 9th birthday !!! Man, was I spoiled !!!

I love the Penny 2s. I believe the white panels were leather because my neighbor had them and we played ball together back in the day. That Uptempo era was the best….and that design cue with the outsole was so distinct. I remember being skeptical at first but when I had the Zoom Flight 96s….I became a believer. Love the new Since tee…that was my fav All star game for a few reasons. Vince destroyed the show, it was when I moved to the Bay…well i moved in late 99, and I was there at all star weekend in Oakland!! It was also my introduction to Dirk Nowitzki….during the rookie practice and game!
I remember loving these when I first got them back in 96 but definitely didn’t last as long as my OH Shaqs which lasted forever and were durable as hell!

80s to early 90s shoe designs were more my jam, but I'm finally coming around to those mid to late 90s designs.

I was in 7th grade when these initially released (yep old af), and I remember one of my friends had a pair. I was obsessed with them, but my family didn't have the money to buy sneakers at this price. I never forgot about this pair, though.
Eventually, I picked up a pair of one of the retros a few years back, but my style at the time (and now) didn't really work with bball kicks from the 90s any more.
Still love them, despite not wearing them - one of those nostalgia pairs I can admire from afar.

this was 9th grade for me too. I had the taxi 12's I knew there was no way I could get them but loved em like I had em. I need these again my 2009 pair are yellowing slightly.

im waiting for the orlando colorway... i wore my og pairs to tje ground. i cried a little when then the nubuck started to just crumble after having em for like 10+ years.... and i wore em for years on end. i love those shoes!

For some reason when the 2015s came out, I had to go up a whole full size. Not sure if it was just that year or what. Never had that issue with the Penny 1

Not a big of a fan of the 2’s like I am the 1’s and OG Foams. But they’re still nice. I got the 2015 pair so I’ll pass but I’d suggest those that don’t have this shoe and want it,to definitely buy it.

White Cement are 💯% leather only 4 that is dura is the black cement and they will be leather come February when they drop in reimagined form
