Thanks Matt, makes a change to have a simple approach. I tried working through the tips at the range this morning and my drives were a lot straighter for the most part.

I was a terrible slicer until I took a much stronger grip and made my lead-arm more straight. I’m not good at turning my hips but it made a huge difference for me. Yesterday I was doing a draw which is much rare for me.

Senior golfer who had 18 month hiatus from golf and simply could not get off the tee when I returned to the game a couple of weeks ago. This excellently devised video has got me back on track and restored my confidence on the tee. Hopefully I will find something on the driver takeaway phase which is still a bit erratic. Bets golf tutorial I have come across over many years of looking.

Great vid, driver is the club I struggle with the most and I’ve even teed off with a 5 wood the last couple of rounds. Will give your tips a try at the weekend on the range 😁

Best coaching videos on YT, easy to understand albeit not always easy to do but that comes down to practice ofc :)
Matt, I've struggled as well with mastering the big dog, but notice that when I focus on having the middl of the club face hit the center of the ball on the upswing, results get better. Are there easy at home drills on improving the consistency on ball striking center to center, between club face and ball?

Matt, at the end of the video you show the coil behind the ball with what looks like extremely flat shoulder plane. My turn behind the ball has ruined my driver game...do you have a specific video on this topic for driver specifically?

Hi, I was struggling with my slice for months, tried many tricks and got worse. Today I followed your steps took small and easy swings and bingo most of the drives did not slice. I hope I can keep the consistency 😬

I've noticed you keep your left arm straight and your right elbow tucked to the body.
I'm incredibly 'army' in my swing so I wonder if locking them more in might create more consistency?

Hi matt i know this is an older video hope you respond .. but if you put the driver behind the ball set up as normal then lay the driver down it looks like your stood abit further than a driver club length away if i lay mine down the grip is on my lead heal i feel i could be stood too close ?

I end up hitting it off the toe more and I think it’s because of early extension. I’m going to the course to try and fix it using a couple drills.

Hi. Overall great video. When coaches talk about aim and target they never tell us what tree or branch or edge of sand trap they have chosen as their target. You say “middle of the fairway” and I see a big hill on your right. Give us a better look at your target so we can fully realize where those train tracks are intended to take your ball. Thanks
My problem is I tend to fall back in the swing and top the ball which pisses me right off...I need help

I am struggling so much on driving. I’ve taken lessons and my husband and son try to help me, but it’s hopeless. 😢
I put my club down and looked where is was aimed and they tried to give me an extra stroke

I am almost embarassed to ask this: How to I check my distance to the ball, especially with the driver. I tend to crowd the ball, which can end up in disaster on the tee ( as well as on the course.)

Slicing every drive is consistent, and so is hooking every drive. Did you mean hitting drives consistently in the fairway?
Show the swing from different angles with be great.

This is the "village idiot's" take on technique. How dare you? How could you not talk about the role of the right shoulder socket, the right upper arm, and the right elbow? For viewers with an IQ above room temperature here are some sound thoughts: 1) the downswing is shallower than the backswing, 2) the right elbow must point down toward the ground at the start of the downswing,. You may manipulate your arm in your shoulder socket to achieve that position, 3) your upper right arm gets very close to your body and your right elbow gets very close to the point of your right hip, and 4) your right arm stays bent at the elbow through impact. There's much more to it than that, but everything I wrote is more useful than anything this bloke said.
