The laminate steel mora's are one of the best knives out there, used them for years. Make your own handles if you want. Nice vid mate!

Great tutorial Hamster, many thanks. As a complete novice, these videos are invaluable. Nice to see something other than spoons. Got me wondering what other utensils could be carved to make as a set? Any ideas would be very welcome. I'm more into functional utensils rather than aesthetic pieces. Perhaps a spurtle - a thin stick-like scottish stirring utensil for things like porridge and soups. Usually with a finial on the handle. Any videos I've seen on spurtles unfortunately involve wood turning equipment rather than knives. I made one in school over 40 years ago and haven't made one since. In fact, I haven't made anything since! I've ordered a couple of knifes to remedy that, so can't wait to start whittling. Your channel inspires and teaches people like me. Keep these videos coming, my friend. BTW What kind of oil did you use here? And what other alternatives could be used. Stay well. Cheers - David 👍 (Subscribed)
