    Please don’t forget to replace the “door closing sensor” as well, the video doesn’t show at 4:40-4:50, but there is a sensor and if you don’t place it correctly THE BEEPING SOUND (as if the door is open) will continue while the door is closed. The sensor should be closer to the turning point.

    This was pretty easy... didn't need to drill like the others are saying.. just poked through the very, very thin plastic covering with an ink pen... easy peasy.. All the extra parts were there as well...

    I like how the cables that went inside that door went from the protective white cover from being in the middle to being on the outside on the end result.

    Good and helpful video although makes every step look much easier than it is. My fridge also doesn’t have drill holes in the bottom of it on the desired side so I’m having to improvise and drill my own. Very disappointing.

      We have that same issue! Did drilling the holes work out well? We even had a samsung pro come do a warranty call on it to figure out the issue and they were stumped as well but did not want to drill in for fear of causing damage. @@neilread1 thank you for this advice...I'm still waiting on samsung to reply about this as I don't want my warranty voided if this is done. In fact I'd rather have the samsung pro back to come do it. It's quite amazing they advertise the freezers as reversible doors but then sounds like this issue is not isolated. Sounds like it stems from the factory itself.

    We bought the US version of this and at 4:06 when they are screwing in the hinge -- ours has no pre-drilled holes! LOL. Guess no one QA'd before it left the factory. We even bought two of them as they are convertible freezers or fridges. Both have the same exact issue. aye yey yey

      @@fdepaola I contacted Samsung and they deemed it "defective" and offered me a full refund. But you will see others have drilled through the plastic themselves and found the threaded holes. @SAMSUNG If you are going to produce videos at least be honest with the end user as to how awkward your products actually are!! Hello I'm having a similar problem. My wire cover keeps popping up on the hinge side when I close the door.
      It says down fine with the door open but as soon as I close the door it pops up again.
      Do you find when you have your fridge door open that you can hold door and it moves up a bit?

    • @butler12uk
      @butler12uk Před 3 lety +2

      @@markdanny1908 i had this problem. I realised after checking there is another plastic 'spacer' component on the underside of the fridge door that you need to unscrew and move over to the opposite side (although i didn't see this in the instructions!)
      This adds a few millimetres and stops the top door cover popping off.

I'm unable to fit my cover on upper hinge and on 6:08 mark you made a cut and this cover magically appear on the spot. How did he fit it there? Maybe I'm stupid, but I'm ok with that as long as you provide USEFUL video instruction.
