I dont expect this to get as many views as the cruel king video but I think sharing big boss experiences with friends is pretty fun. I love all the new mechanics this demo introduced and I'm excited to see the future of Block Tales, as I'm sure we all are!
apparently there was supposed to be an animation of griefer stabbing himself with the venomshank but it got skipped if you want to see it I'd recommend watching another video.
If you did it on solo on hard mode underwater with one hand tied behind your back, good for you. But please dont act like you're better than me in the comments and just let me enjoy the game... I did this on hard mode no hit after the nerf anyway..

even though i saw it before i still got surprised because i never knew it was griefer himself
when we had to confront the griefer I just had a gut feeling in my stomach that something would go extremely wrong so then I went to the regen pad outside of the griefer’s room, really glad I did cause I would’ve been done for if I didn’t follow my gut feeling : D

also somehow i did it without healing before hand dunno how that happened

I feel bad for Griefer's Dad... he just saw his son turn into a monstrous plant that can barely control himself, and all he can do is grieve and hope for the best... my heart felt a little heavy as soon as i grabbed the Venomshank

I see everyone feeling bad for Griefer and his dad (So do I), But I feel like the cruel King was underrated.
He basically went through the same experience but he wasn't strong enough to turn himself into an entire monster with the sword (ice dagger).
All he wanted to do was protect his kingdom and if you fight him again he still thinks that you're going to destroy it (Even after death he wants to kill you for his kingdom), and being honest if I heard this from some sort of supernatural voice that can probably tell me the future than I would probably believe them (Well not as much as CK did but a little bit, I would make extra planning).
The voices in the antagonists' heads are probably gonna be the final boss or something

I don’t think it is a toxin, more like the sword managed to overwhelm the flesh of the user.
Cruel King turned into ice as he was defeated, making his injured body unable to comprehend the Ice Dagger power, and as the human body isn’t just a solid block, he crumbled down by himself.
Griefer/Brad accelerated the weakening so the sword would take over, and because the plant can still support itself unlike ice, Bubonic Plant was created.

Fun fact: after you defeated griefer, if you visit that place again and stay there for a while, you can actually see griefer's soul standing in the middle

honestly i like this abrupt transition just as much
I’m playing the whole story mode solo. This fight was absolutely insane, I died like, 10 times. The only reason why I didn’t grind for exp is because I knew I was strong enough, I just sucked at dodging the attacks.

for me it took like 3 tries somehow, might be bcus i had a full dps build

Full parties in game look so sick together. Its like there's actual strategy in the way yall work together, with Scoundy not focused of attack, but support/healing hence the -2 atk effect, and the way the animations pair up showing the style of the players, with Aeo being the easy goer when it comes to dodging, hence the slick looking animation. Idk, I might go too deep into this, but its fun when people work together.
(Also, the thumbnail looks sick).

Great video and I love how each party member’s color match their menu flavor, very neat! Also there is other QoL changes and a way you can re-fight bosses.
There's an area in the airport you can go to to refight bosses. Sorry I didn't see this earlier.. if you want to see the quality of life changes listed in detail id reccomend just joining the block tales discord

on the run where i beat him i had ten mangoes and got half of them shredded away on phase 2 bc he spammed bites

@@blackthing7130i thought it was hard yet manageable, like it was hard but it only took me 2 tries to beat and on 1 of them i died with it having 7 hp left and on the other i didn't even use the ice dagger
I did play the most defensive style ever known so it did take a little longer
the lore is getting deeper and deeper

It's getting more ttyd! i actually had 2 fireballs from the pit and the cave in chapter 1 so i already knew about stacking
Damn this got some adventure type animation movie character vibe
-Main character's friend elder sister who first didnt believe the main character and his brother, but soon joined anyway
-the main character who is tasked to save the world by some old dude or a talking sword
-the one lost dude they met in the journey that joins them because he is bored and wants a adventure
-The main character's friend that secretly follows them and eventually helps them

Fighting the first part solo was hell, learning all of the attacks and how to PERFECTLY dodge them since healing was practically death.
And the second part rolled in and I experienced what WW2 soldiers had to experience while in the battlefield.
It's always weird seeing multiple people in battles cuz I soloed the entire game and beat all pit floors by myself

Chapter 3 is either gonna be set in a ghost town like in paper mario ttyd or the mines since in the file select it shows a ghostly sword and since our overworld abilities have been following the paper mario 64 partner list (except goombario and shrink card not representing a partner)
Next overworld ability is gonna be a card that emites light and reveals hidden platform and obstacle since in chapter 3 of paper Mario you get watt as a partner and she lights up dark areas and reveals hidden blocks

confirmed by the devs:
chapter 3 is going to be shedletsky's haunted manor, the new tool that you are going to get is ghost potion (it works like bow and vivian from paper mario)
there is a lantern tool that used to light up dark areas but that got scrapped

If your doing a duo, just get ready to the ammount of resurrect you have to do to eachother and ice daggers
Judging from how this story’s going, I think that it’s based on SFOTH with the first demo 1 having the normal sword and ice dagger and demo 2 having venom shank and jet boots.
I’m guessing there will be swords like ghost walker, firebrand, illumina, wind force and dark heart to get added with them having a power up like shadow sphere, shield sphere, medkit, touchstone and battle armour.
I’m guessing in the next demo or update they’ll add ghostwalker or wind force next followed by firebrand with illumina then dark heart last. (Just a prediction of what I think)
Dude when me and my friend Mischief finished the second phase the cutscene made me feel wholesomeness
I have a feeling the next chapter's villain will use the Ghostwalker to revive the previous villains as ghosts to use them against the players, Edo Tensei style
The ghosts would most likely have imitations of their abilities from back in their respective boss fights, maybe slightly downgraded. Idk this is just a theory.
Also, maybe Builderman is behind this, or maybe he too is a puppet in a whole ass villainous scheme, idk, but this game's lore is getting interesting
I do hope they mix up the final boss formula a little more so that'd be pretty hype
and I think shedlestsky said something about builderman at the start as well so I believe he's the one behind this

The amount of perfect dodges and blocks from that rush attack is crazy 💀
a easier way to either duo or solo bubonic plant is having you or your teammate spam pray (777 tix from the gambling looking shop near the airport) because theres a chance you either get a full heal (golden light) or full heal and some sp (rainbow light i think)
Imagine it has some undertake moment at the end where all the swords become one to defeat builderman

Thats cool boss, new floors of pit was easy too, my friend got 3 thorns in the pit, and she now do 4 dmg when enemy is attacking her (5 with counter)
Also "feel fine" Card is kinda op for this boss, since it will remove negative effects and will keep working for 2 turns (2 sp cost)

I kept using the "1 action then block" since i was alone, also i'd like to say his first fight at the bottom of the tree felt harder that his second one

Soloed this boss on first try, Took me like almost 40 minutes of guarding and attacking and i was SHOCKED when he have second phase

this game is actually best played on controller bc the buttons feel more responsive making guards and action commands easier to hit

they use it to buff themselves, giving blue a lot of hp and red a lot of damage
if you kill one, the other ultra-buffs themselves, therefore increasing their respective stat
(blue gains defense, red gains damage)
also they get a full heal

I soloed this boss and it was painful but I love the music!
Fun fact and useless fact for now: for those who had apple pie before it was gone, congrats, but also not congrats, it literally got the biggest nerf of all time, instead of doubling dmaage it now gives 2 extra and also disables super guarding

Oh yeah the thumbnail looks very cool btw and idk why but i had more difficulties with the jeep minigame than the actual final boss but for half of the way i did get carried by a pro player

I just beat this solo, his second phase was easier than the first ngl, also jeez, my heart was pumping the entire time
I tried rebattling with the help The Guru,it was hella easier than it was before.I needed to constantly heal and spam space,but now i just throw dynamites at him
