    Just wondered if the guys at electroheads have seen the new scooters from pure electric? Be great if they can get hold of them for review before their March 2023 release, especially as Eillish has already had a go on Taur…

    It's officially winter.
    My xiaomo pro 2 is a no nonsense scooter at a great price. I have a garage and offered to send an elderly customer home in my courtesy car. Then I realised it was already out with another customer. I offered him my electric scooter half joking. He had a go and took it home about half a mile to his house. He was 83 yrs old!

      I own one and brand new out of the box it has marks over various parts of the frame, some panel gaps are big and its a good idea to tighten the bolts all over as some were loose out of the box

    This is not a good scooter for the price lol. Most 350w scooters are in the 400-500 range. When you jump up to 800 range like this one, you can easily get a 450w scooter. The Niu KQi3 max or the ninebot max would be a much better alternative for the price.

    • @CPA003
      @CPA003 Před rokem +2

      Ninebot max also has bigger battery at 551 wh vs 468 on this scooter. Also, although Ninebot motor is also 350 watt, it peaks at 700-800 watts Vs. this motor peaks at 500 watts.

    Even the ducati pro 2 puts any xiaomi to shame. For the same price or less they have suspensions and 10" tubeless wheels.
    On the other side the app is bad, there isn't any kers control, it just brakes itself when you use the mechanic disc brake, but at least it doesn't lock the wheel instantly. The cable managment is also bad, but it's just aesthethics

  • @e-scooterguy
    @e-scooterguy Před rokem +2

    I agree u get build quality peace of mi d with Ducati but at this price I’m disappointed a company that makes road vehicles haven’t done better than bog standard ipx4. Pay £599 at the moment and u can get a pure air pro with 500 watt nominal power, ip65, just doesn’t have nfc and admittedly it’s tube tyres but better deal. Ninebot max has always done well due to build quality, range and the ipx5 rating and reliability at this price that’s why it sells but to be fair the Ducati does look more interesting. The niu scooters are also raising the bar at the under 1000 range now aswell.

    • @swenag7444
      @swenag7444 Před rokem

      The only thing about the ninebot max is that it is aesthetically poor which is disappointing 😂 but agree, ipx 5 is attractive

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy Před rokem

      @@swenag7444 yeh it’s a bit generic but then again it’s getting on a bit now in scooter world terms where as this Ducati is brand new from a well known brand and it’s a shame it only edges it in a few areas. I think the Niu scooters might be a better buy here or pure electric scooters that are cheaper. Interesting to see what ppl think of the xiaomi pro 4 too.

    • @looneyirish007
      @looneyirish007 Před rokem

      @@swenag7444 I love the minimalist look of the max, it's carbon steel, it's built for commuting, the same can't be said for this low spec high price scooter. Look at the max 2 specs, the max 2 is the same price as this "Ducati", you will then see how overpriced it is

    I would prefer this one over the Segway that appears to have low clearance from ground, some of their models look clunky or way too flimsy, like scooter on a diet, would be concerned about safety

  • @looneyirish007
    @looneyirish007 Před rokem

    Manufactured and licensed are 2 very different things. To ignore such and not even highlight this fact in the review is quite misleading and makes it sound like a sales pitch rather than a impartial review.
    You're not buying a Ducati or Ducati heritage, you're buying Ducati stickers, to suggest otherwise is absolutely mental 😂
    For the price of 799, it's specs at best basic, and that 9 hour charge time for only 25 real mile range is terrible. Which tells you everything about its quality, its peak wattage is only 500watts, some 400 peak watts less that the MAX 2, The climbing rate is poor too, at only 20% and an ipx4 rating in a country that always rains is not good value for your money.
    Buy a Segway Max 2 for the same price and buy some Ducati stickers because this scooter is not worth over 300 😂😂😂
    Ducati want to cash in on the e-scooter popularity pie rather than R&D one themselves.
    The best advice is to avoid these kind of licenced out sticker scooters and stick with brands that are actual scooter manufacturers. One has to only look at the reviews on the company who distributes these bad scooters,
    So no, they don't live up to the pedigree or the heritage of the Ducati name. The reviews are a 1.3 on Google.
    This channel is clearly trying to sell you this poor quality scooters rather than give you good honest advice. Do your own research as this sales presenter doesn't even question the IPX rating. She just wants to sell you Ducati stickers.
