Way to go!! I’ve been homeschooling for 10 years and still to this day, our school days always go better when I’ve woken before the kids and have gotten myself squared away.
My mom has been homeschooling me, and my two younger sisters for our entire lives. I never realized just how much time and effort she puts into teaching, instructing, and growing us. Thank you for this video, it helped me to appreciate my mom, and everything she does for us, so much more than I used to. God bless 🥰😘
How is your experience as a homeschooled kid if I may ask? Did you feel less or isolated from other kids? Would you choose to go to school rather than being homeschooled. I’m genuinely curious
@@reemyal93 well I’m not the original poster, but I have been homeschooled and in regular school, I genuinely prefer homeschooling. As a kid, homeschool was fun, I was out in a lot of activities and sports and kid groups so I was still socialized. However as a preteen and teen I was homeschooled again and since it was during the pandemic I did not socialize much at all with people. However I still liked homeschool because I had a lot of freedom with my schedule and I could go out of town and on road trips whenever I wanted to. I just graduated a couple years early and now I’m the youngest person at my college so that’s cool I guess.
@@reemyal93 well, we do a homeschool co-op called Classical Conversations. I have many friends there, so I don’t feel VERY secluded. I DO sometimes wish I was public/ private schooled, simply because I don’t have as many friends as I would like. That being said, I am glad I’m homeschooled, since it’s much easier to work at your own pace. Sure I may have a set schedule for the day, but if I don’t get something finished, that’s okay, because my mom is nice enough to let me finish it a bit later 😝 Being homeschooled has it’s pros and cons, but at the end of the day, I’m happy with the education I’m receiving. Hope this answers your questions 😊😅
@@reemyal93 I'm not trying to be rude at all but you do know that there are activities and groups kids can be a part of? Me and my siblings were all a part of sports and hobby clubs. I love to see a mom that’s actually home schooling. I work at an elementary school and can’t tell you how many kiddos get signed out to be “homeschooled “ and the parents don’t do a thing! You’re raising the next generation let’s set them up for success God Bless Your Family

Just something that I learned it helped me through med school learning all the vocab and medications! I have adhd, so it really helps me retain what I learn doing it that way
It's amazing to see different ways to homeschool. I'm a very laid back relaxed homeschool mom. Man I wish I was that organized. I wake up 1 hour before the big kids and spend the next hour changing diapers and yelling " I don't know were your book is, were did you put it?"
I am a homeschool mom with 5 kiddos. This is my first year and with my oldest. I'm struggling find a balance between homeschool, meals and house chores. My youngest is 7 months and she just wants to be with mom and I'm struggling on keeping my kids entertained while my oldest does school. I think I will try to incorporate the younger and able kids to do some learning activities in the morning. I don't know. My mission is to get the schedule down. Getting Laundry done seems to be so challenging too. But I will keep pushing. Bravo to all the homeschool moms out there doing their best!
Glad to see actual homeschooling!! We get so many kids returning to public school after a few years of "homeschooling" not even knowing how to read or even knowing how to hold a pencil or write at all. It's really sad.
Good job, Mama!! I've been homeschooling my son and daughter..I have small 2 more children and soon gonna be part of this crazy chaos education at home lol
Thank you for showing us a snapshot of your life! This is amazing and beautiful! However, I just want others to know that while this is what works for this family, others may look a bit different. Here is my day as a second generation homeschooler with five kids (11th grade down to 2nd, no multiples 😊): 7:30 - kids allowed to leave bedrooms 8 - mom begrudgingly rolls out of bed 9 - time to wake up the teens! Always a joy😂 9:30 - finish up breakfast and morning chores 10 - start school (we do Bible and some subjects as a family first) 11 - wrap up together school. Some kids do more school at this point, others start lunch. 1-5:30 - finish up lunch; do school and afternoon chores and then sweet freedom until dinner prep starts; dinner is prepared by either mom or an older child 8 - bedtime starts for younger kids; one teen does most of his school at this time of the day, because he likes to and he can 10 - lights out for teens and our day ends. And there you have it! Another homeschooling perspective. Homeschooling is such a blessing, whether you homeschool using the computer, a boxed curriculum, an eclectic approach, or any other method.
i honestly wished my parents homeschooled me, for context, in my childhood years, a lot of unfortunate things started happening and it was a constant struggle to socialize as my brain was extremely riddled with trauma and fear. so maybe homeschooling would have been a better option though i doubt either of my parents had time
Noise canceling headphones would have been a dreeeeam for me when I was a kid. I had adhd and the smallest of sounds made schoolwork so much more challenging to get through. And I was homeschooled.
