a water wheel is made for movement (energy) to move per example a windmill. so the actual water is never on the wheel

yeah if you use a hinge in anywhere on a block i think it just teleports the exact middle of the block to the hinge

3:15 size of the water wheel does not effect how fast the end gear would spin, there is some basic physics to be known here but basically, the is just transferring energy from the water to the gear behind it, not adding any energy to the system itself, therefore it’s size doesnt matter
If the water wheel is too big it will turn slowly
