I love your videos, but I do still prefer the OG Krispy Kreme logo. The dot above the "i" intersects with the stroke to make the shape of a ring doughnut in the negative space, which is genius IMHO.
For a future brand redesign, how about Walkers crisps? (keeping with the healthy food theme).

absolutely love the color palette, especially the blue!
i think sometimes when people see brand redesign videos, they think it always has to be completely in-line with their current target audience/brand strategy.
But people forget this isn't a legit redesign, it's just for fun. Sometimes it's more "if I were to be approached to redesign krispy kreme and I had full creative freedom and direction I think this would look good" and less "this is their current brand strategy and this fits in".
I also love that you switched directions from the figures and went with the other pattern. I think that was KEY!
Hit the nail on the head there!! It’s totally okay to just design for some fun and do it in your own interpolation! Got to remember that it’s okay to break rules and do things like this! If I didn’t do things like this for fun I wouldn’t enjoy designing as much!🧡🤭

I LOVED your long-legged people illustrations, but I agree it didn't make sense for this brand. I think you could definitely repurpose them into another project because they looked FIRE! 😊 I'm a designer as well and your videos are always inspiring and motivating. Hope the videos are helping! A thing I like to do when it a creative rut is let myself be bored. I'll just sit without a phone, or any distractions for 30/60 minutes, it's hard to get yourself to do but I find boredom breeds creativity but it gives you time to think!

Love your process Abi! Also great to see you moving the brand to a totally new, fun direction. And of course once there are mockups and the brand comes to life, that IS FIRE. One thing that bothers me though is the legibility of the Y - if I didn’t know the brand I’d likely read it as a U since the tail is disconnected. Even more so once you made the top and the tail a different colour.

I'm not sure about the color blue for a food logotype but I really enjoyed the short commercial video you did at the end. It was really catchy. You could make a video in which you explain how to make these kind of short videos which are very suitable for social media...

@@abiconnick I don't know I always find blue not very suitable for food in general. In fact other than blueberries (which are not really blue), it is not easy to find blue as a natural color. But the logo turns out beautiful, I really love the composition!

Hey Abi. Some words are misspelt on your website under the "my work" tab under "frequently asked questions". Specifically, the heading " how long do projects take. "projects" is spelt incorrectly. Also, under the heading "Can you just design my logo?", you have "that" instead of "than". I LOVE THE WEBSITE
I think it would be super interesting for you to redesign the lego logo, not a fan of the current one

love the color palette and primary logo! however I don't feel like the logo mark matches the vibe you created with the primary logo and the brand pattern feels odd with the random letters thrown in. but nonetheless I feel like its an awesome direction for the brand and great for a quick rebrand! id love to see you rebrand Starbucks next!

Not the blue, doughnuts are usually dipected with pink glaze and colorful sprinkles, so maybe a pink or a pale yellow with the golden brown? Id like to round all the edges of the font, and for a pattern obviously circles within circles insde the font? Id love to see that

I know this is a year overdue but another idea for a rebrand would be the pepsi logo. I don't know if you saw the new updated logo but it's not what i had expected it to be. maybe a logo challenge just for fun? 😉

I’m not feeling the colour palette, the blue didn’t do it for me, I would have mixed the cream you chose with a magenta or hot pink but I love love love the typography. Kristy kremes should really consider that for a redesign. Another fun and engaging video as always! Well done Abi

For some projects I do, but it’s dependent on the brand, but I definitely prefer creating a logotype as this is my strong point ☺️

I never noticed this before but, Krispy Kreme uses _"doughnuts"_ and not the American _"donuts"_ .
Which is something I never expected from an American company.
The spelling wasn’t popular when Krispy Kreme was founded. It wasn’t widely used for another 15-20 years.

I’ll try and do a video on making brand patterns! But once you’ve got your icons or elements ready I use: Object > Make pattern and use that tool to create my pattern in Adobe illustrator x
