Great point about using MB parts. I have a 1983 300D Turbo and I have been using my local Mercedes dealership for some repairs when I don’t have the skill or time etc. They have been extremely cooperative and knowledgeable.

I like every CZcams you record! They are interesting and very helpful. I recently retired and bought a 220d w115 1973. I planned to do minor things like replacing shocks, fluids and seals around doors. The interior and exterior are immaculate but it wasn’t run by the widow for the past 10-15 years. After much research I found a tear in the governor diaphragm at the rear of the fuel injection punch. Fortunately I found the part in Germany and based on my reading, etc I hope this to be the woe to many of the issues I was having before the idol ran away and I could no longer drive it. Again thanks for what you take the time to do for us lovers of these classic beast.

Found out after pulling my w126 evaporator out that mercedes NLA RHD w126 evaporators. I ended up paying a coil maker to manufacture one for half the price in copper for a 3rd of the price!

Great topic. I’ve had good luck with Millers in Az and “Mr.Lock” for keys. So true about anything post 1972. Easier to get parts for my ‘57 220s and ‘68 280SE than it is for my ‘93 600.

This content was great thank you. Literally yesterday I was talking with my wife about this because of an AC Blower Resistor that I bought two of by mistake. I'm going to just keep the extra because I own a CLK 320 and parts are not as common as for the E Class
