I was thinking, if you switch the order of the panels it can be read, "will I ever dance with you again? Only in my dreams." As opposed to , "only in my dreams will I ever dance with you again" and I don't know which is more angsty.

Shoto Todoroki is indeed a complex hero-in-trainning. Growing up in a broken home with little to no experience with love, compassion or empathy, all that change after his time in U.A. Him exploring love would probably the most life-changing thing that ever happen. That last comic also served as a sad reality that nothing last forever.
My apologies in advance for being a bummer on that last sentence.
