I figured out in the end, after getting the install media to work, that the computer doesn't support booting from the m.2 if it isn't an HP m.2. it's a complete croc of 💩 if i do say so myself. The port is there, stop making us use proprietary hardware to get everything to work. The m.2 slot is only for expansion without an hp unit. I'll have to buy a whole new SATA unit to replace the failed one. Pray for my wallet. 😂
