Don't think I've ever seen a commercial that sums up what it means to be a sports fan like this one does. These little moments, that we'll remember years later in our lives, that brought us and those around us a little bit of joy. I'm not even a Celtics fan and it gives me goosebumps.
KG’s jersey is gonna be retired in a few days. I hope they play this Badfinger song during the ceremony. This is one of the best Celtics commercial ever. Congrats Big Ticket!
I still remember when I found out about the KG trade. As a huge Celtics fan for about 25yrs at the time, I think I went through every emotion you see in this video. Watching this 16yrs later it still brings back happy memories, and I can't help but smile. I got married in '07, and my wife bought me a Garnett jersey for my wedding gift. This song will always make me think of KG.
I'll never forget that day. Sitting in art class my senior year of high school listening to 700 WLW... They broke the news and our whole class erupted, people ran into the hallways, teachers lost control of us... That moment alone made his time in Cincy worth it. Here's hoping he goes into the Hall a Mariner though
I remember when I found out he was coming to boston. I was going to a doctors appointment at like 6:45am and I heard it on the radio and was so pumped all day, it was finally completed at like 8:30. Best day EVER.
Despite being a Heat Fan, this commercial will always give me chills cause I know how much it meant to Celtics. One of the reasons I really went into Marketing/Advertising as a career truth be told. Ads like this make you feel something.
The name of the song's actually "Day After Day." I'm not a huge KG fan but I think this ad is incredible. Great player w/ a great song from an underrated band.
As great as KG was and man was he great people might remember him most from his Boston days when he was already past his prime if more people watched in his Twolve days this guy was a top 10 talent all time he just never had a decent supporting cast
Agreed Stoner! Anyone who would thumbs down this is a moron! Watching this brought me back 8 year to when Garnett agreed to sign with Boston! Let's hope we get lucky with another Kevin..... Durant that is!
I miss the excitement of having a game-changing player come to your team; it hasn’t happened in a lonnnng time. Just knowing they could change everything. Probably the same way Bucs fans felt about getting Brady.
Unreal commercial. I remember it all happening. Kind of hard to believe all these die hards found out about this through the press conference though hahaha

TheDudeAbides54 I love bird, Russell, cowens.... but he's the ultimate Celtic!!!!
Gotta be one of the finest sport team commercials ever made
It's so spot on. Whole town was buzzing.
THE NBA WON'T BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU KG! Thank you for bringing the Celtic tradition back to Boston, we'll never forget it.
KG’s jersey is gonna be retired in a few days. I hope they play this Badfinger song during the ceremony. This is one of the best Celtics commercial ever. Congrats Big Ticket!
Had to come back and relive this moment seeing as KG “The Big Ticket” is now an eternal legend as a Hall of Famer.
Doesn't matter what sport, what team you're a fan of...we all dream of something like this happening. One day...
Still gives me chills to this day..

I came back to watch this months after I first saved it to my Favorites. Still the best commercial ever. I miss KG!
July 31st, 2007 will go down as one of the best days in Celtics/Boston history.
100% can confirm this is how it felt when Boston heard KG was coming
I remember when I found out he was coming to boston. I was going to a doctors appointment at like 6:45am and I heard it on the radio and was so pumped all day, it was finally completed at like 8:30. Best day EVER.
Thank you KG and Pierce for your contributions here in Boston...we'll miss you dearly..
My cousin was visiting from Los Angeles when this happened. He even said it was all the Celtics needed and sure enough he was correct.
this commercial gets sweeter and sweeter every year that goes by.... my eyes get watery every time i see it... GO CELTICS!!!
Thank You K.G ☘☘☘☘☘☘☘

hey man, I don't know you at all but I gotta state that you have captured what I want to say about this ad hundred percent.
classic commercial
I Its July 2011, and all us Celtics (NBA) fans facing, (I pray not) a NBAless season ahead, I watched this and it made me happy. Thankyou.
i still love this thanks KEVIN you help bring a title to us helped the world see who good Pierce could be
I live in Minnesota being a T-Wolves fan, and after that I never thought we would win another game
I LOVE this commercial, Felt just like the fans in it, when KG came. And as the song said, "Bring it Home, make it Soon" and he DID
Peter Mazzella the fact that the Celtics won the title that first season makes this commercial that much more incredible.
Just like the song said"Bring it home, make it soon" And he did! Banner 17
Great commercial.
this literally brings me to tears when i watch it
The name of the song's actually "Day After Day."
I'm not a huge KG fan but I think this ad is incredible. Great player w/ a great song from an underrated band.
I cried.

Love this!
I'm a laker fan, but this commercial is epic.
I am not a Celtics fan, but hiring Garnett, Doc Rivers & Ray Allen, made all of us Celtics fans that year.
and garnett would not be denied that year
As great as KG was and man was he great people might remember him most from his Boston days when he was already past his prime if more people watched in his Twolve days this guy was a top 10 talent all time he just never had a decent supporting cast
Damn ima miss my bro! :(
The Bad Finger Song is actually called "Day After Day."
10 years ago today
Agreed Stoner! Anyone who would thumbs down this is a moron! Watching this brought me back 8 year to when Garnett agreed to sign with Boston! Let's hope we get lucky with another Kevin..... Durant that is!
im a knicks fan but this is awesome
I remember finding out about you 🎵
I GOT MY OWN!!!! I GOT MY OWN!!!!!!
Who else is here after KG got inducted into
the Hall of Fame?
Boston Will Always Remember...
*ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!* 🙏🏽💪🏽🍀
You nailed it !!! Exactly !!!
The name of this song is "Day After Day." DERP
Good moment for Boston fans but grief for us MN fans...
i remember when they first got him. best day in Celtics history since Larry Bird….. then we got Ray Allen and it was even better.
I miss the excitement of having a game-changing player come to your team; it hasn’t happened in a lonnnng time. Just knowing they could change everything. Probably the same way Bucs fans felt about getting Brady.
Agreed
If we could land KD, Boston should reenact this commercial ☘ #KDtoBoston
Unreal commercial. I remember it all happening. Kind of hard to believe all these die hards found out about this through the press conference though hahaha
Farewell KG...
don't quote him incorrectly. it wasn't just for Minnesota.
Ray Allen "I've Forgotten"
I hate the fakkin' Celts, but this is cinema of the highest order.
Now what....
Day After Day is the name of the song, not I Remember
Man this team should have won 3 chips :-(
and next year his number goes to the rafters
Poor KG, he was so good during his peak years but his supporting cast was mediocre.
its "hung" not "hanged"
I heard Rondo just lost his number
Let get banner 18!
@NightrainNo9 who cares...
Yeah, especially given the way Gasol helped the Lakers totally dominate the Celts in the finals last year.
Oh wait ...
