Musashis body looked far, different without his soul occupying it. The longer he was in that body the more it changed to match how he was inside.
Anyone else noticed the art style for mushasi looked cleaner in the beginning but once it gets to his fight with yujiro he looks bugged eyed? Like his eyes look further spaced apart where as here they are closer to his nose?
He is slowly turning into a beast, his face mimicking the lions.
Funny how Musashi winds up being even more savage than the caveman.

I do not like it that they humiliate new characters, it adds no value and its not a showing for the main character either since the new character is ranked as fodder anyways.
It would be cooler if the sword dude fought a bit showing skill and then got outmanouvered in a way he hasnt seen before, showing skill for miyamoto while putting the sword dude at a rank where in the future he could fight some of the weaker characters and be a showing for them too.
Now jack fought him,dominated the battle and it doesnt matter at all.
They call em jobber characters, cuz they do the job of showing how big stronk the new character is xd

That’s exactly why his design changed. Because he was anything but normal. His odd face signifies that he is not of modern time.

He uses his side of his face muscles to pull his face backwards. think of people who move their ears back and forth with the muscle. It slightly widens his eye so his field of vision is slightly greater. Only slightly. He also practiced viewing things from both sides of his eyes while focusing forward. so he can see you coming from any direction while still focusing straight ahead. He eyes are open widely as well to increase vision again and he rarely blinks. That's what is making him look so strange. All things mentioned only slightly increase the chance of victory. but he was so serious about his craft that he does all these weird things that increases his advantage even if slightly over his opponents.
I think it makes him look more badass in my opinion.
I'm reffering to the real musashi btw. I read an excerpt from a book of his where he details that kinda stuff.
A friendly reminder that a katana isn't a special sword, or any special metal treatment techniques can make "true" katana survive that. Baki logic strikes again!
He did show that it was not only with the katanas there is this problem with him, when he fight Retsu he tries multiple weopons (most of them breaks) but he finds one with a "soul" it's like it need a history, like it needs to have some kind of faith put in it for it to not break under is monstruous strenght >.>
Musashi being cloned seems more plausible than a guy snapping your swords in half with a practise swing.
Id understand if he had used the two swords he used as an example of his strength if they'd have hit the ground and broke after the slash was done, or had gone against the force of the blade's weight after his resistance of attempting to stop them right after ... but instead he broke them HALF WAY during the slash alone. I'm speechless. something so already heavy and wind resistant, broke with the force of his pure strength. Wow.

Oliva back in the day, doppo back in the day(if no demon back is used), yuchiro currently, musashi currently, Muhammad Ali back in the day(possibly), retsu(back in the day if no demon back was used), jack back in the day(if no demon back was used and maybe with it), kaku kaioh(if no demon back is used). Alot of people could've but depends on when and how it happened
