You are right about julia. I didn't main her until T7 and holy shit this character is undoubtedly s tier if you manage to consistently punish minus 14 with ff3 and play spacing correctly with her wardrum and party crasher. She lacks plus frames but she doesn't need it because she has excellent high crush moves and an 11 frame magic 4. I'm grateful that people slept on her.
Chloe does really deserve to make a comeback in t8. She is unique and different unlike Kat or Shaheen. It really sucks that she might not be back while a character like Josie or Shaheen would.
Please leave my girl Josie alone! She gets dragged enough! But I agree about Lucky Chloe and I’d love to see her return! Especially if she got a redesign visually! Imagine Lucky Chloe pops up in Tekken 8 and she’s dressed like a heavy metal punk rocker now. I’d love it!
I think a lot can be salvaged if they would just give all the old launch characters the snappy movement of Zafina & Fahk, ATM I feel like I have to KBD my hand into a cramp state just to match what Fahk gets for holding back.
I agree with your points, but I think it's better to go deeper into them. 1. Reworking old chars isn't simple, as you fall into the line of alienating the players who already like them. 2. Support the devs, I don't think they honestly release op chars just so people could buy them. I just can't believe they'd ruin a major tournament for such a thing, even though Leroy should've been easy to spot. 3. Powercreep is kinda inevitable, but I agree devs should think more about the identity of each char as you said, instead of trying to create chars of each martial art or ethnicity. 4. Newcomers aren't supposed to be OP, they're supposed to fill new paradigm shifts in focus. That's why T7 chars are all easy, to entice new players. Since they can't adjust old chars to fill that rule because of point 1. Keep up the interesting topics, though!
Sure 2Ds are broken but it represents something the game should have fucking skill people complain about 2ds being broken but a bunch of the roster is broken without a half of a quarter of the skill a 2d character takes but hey lets leave on button wonders alone

That's all good, but as a casual player i'd rather pay once a year for a dlc pass for a game i know i like then gamble once 3-5 years on something that can be be broken as tekken 5 1.0 just to buy a good version of it couple of years later again for the same price.
Kazumi was not good bcs of broken moves (maybe running 2 was a bit to good) but bcs of superior generics. the game is dominated by generics and movement especially at high level.
Was a fun watch. Also hoping some buffs to movement or removal of random tracking in many moves
