Great video, Doug! I had some daffodils similar to those doubles behind the garage. They haven't bloomed in years. I just went and checked, looks like there's still one bunch of them, you've inspired me to dig them and move them!

Give them a little Bulbtone too. Good for you, they will be happy and so will you when they bloom.

I wished I could get one or two bulbs from you Doug.

This can happen the same for IRIS if not enough sun or too packed and need divided they will not bloom. Thanks I agree best to do it in the Spring while on your mind and can see them. OUT OF SITE out of mind I always forget to move them. Wonderful naturalizing effect these flowers give to the spring before the mower is an issue. Waiting still for our crocus to appear they usually are around the time our Daffodils are out?

That's their favorite food! Spray them with deer repellent, I use Bobbex.

Can I pot spring bulbs, keeping them inside and transplant them when they start to sprout? I'm trying to prevent my squirrel friends from eating the bulbs.

Are they in the ground now? Or are we talking about doing this in the fall. If it's the latter, you can pot bulbs up in containers, but store them someplace cold, like an unheated garage. Then bring them out when the time is right. You could put tulips towards the bottom, then daffs and then crocus towards the top. Make sense?

@@InDougsGardenThanks for responding and yes, it makes sense. They're spring bulbs, Hosta Blue, Triteleia and Liatris.

Hi Mick, that's the beauty of daffodils, they only bloom in the spring. We wait all winter for them and are thrilled to see the harbingers of spring.

    Did they flower?
I think I would have thrown the small bulbs into a couple of holes. Pity to waste them.

They are blooming nice this season. I know what you're saying, but there were tons of tiny bulbs.
