This is my life anthem… Been a UB40 fan since the 1970s and this is the track that takes me there every time.
I love UB40, they sang covers and wrote so many great songs. They came from Birmingham, but the Campbell brothers, the lead singer Ali and his brothers Duncan and Robin (also band members) were sons of a Scottish folk singer Ian Campbell. Their Reggae sound is amazing and probably the only non Jamaican band who is widely accepted in Jamaica
Kingston town is a must listen
Yes!
Damn I miss the eighties.
Huge UK reggae band, Red Red wine was my first favourite tune as a child early 80s. Blessings to you both 🙏
The earth dies screaming is an amazing song. UB40
Another one of their lesser known gems. RIP Astro & Brian T
I bought "one in ten" which I think was their first hit, about unemployment in Britain in the 80s
First hit was Food for thought/King. One in Ten was a brilliant song, great lyrics
Loved King, for for thought, and one in ten ,the first album holds up,they then became a covers band and for me lost something.
UB40 was the number on the old claim card for unemployment benefit in UK. It was great time for music coming out of Birmingham & area. Saw UB40 many times, fab live! Their debut album Signing off, has some classics & also references to the UK at the time.( Madame Medussa...yes... Margaret Thatcher) don't ask...please. Google will fill you in! Love your reactions , lots of love & light from Wales (UK) 🏴
I was growing up with my father listening to this song🥰😎he had albums from UB40
Ali Campbell's voice is like silk 😍
One of the unique voices like elvis like micheal
This is band is the sound of my high school years through the 90s.
But mostly from my aunty's house in the late 80s and 90s as she was getting ready to go out clubbing.
Amazing music.
The Artists that did the originals literally got paid about $20 for them by London based Island records. Off the back of the royalties they received off the back of the deal UB40 did with their albums Labour of Love 1 and 2 (covers), these guys were able to buy houses off the back of it. Strongly recommend you listen to those 2 albums
💯 correct
The way you do the things you do and Kingston town is a must listen 💯 UB40 the real deal🫶🏻
• Where Did I Go Wrong
• Bring Me Your Cup
• Homely Girl
• Tears From My Eyes
• I’ll be on my way
• Cherry Oh Baby
• If It Happens Again
You need to hear their cover of Can’t Help Falling in Love it’s soooooo good!
My favourite band of all time! One of Britain's most underrated bands. 🇬🇧
So many great songs A backdrop to my life.Used 1 in 10 as a Theme Tune to a Documentary we made in College about Government Schemes for Unemployed Kids. One died and we had to Interview the Politicians involved here in Wales UK.As we were just Students it was conveniently sidelined.
The way you do things the way you do is a must listen:)
This band from Birmingham England were the backdrop to my youth, try listening to some of their earlier tracks from albums like Signing Off and Present Arms before heading to the Labour of Love albums.
Red Red Wine…
Cannot see these guys without that tune in my head!
Great little reggae groove
🙏😎🎶
Gotta be the long version with astro(rip)rap in it!
@@sarablack2547 I've always preferred the Astro version to the one they have without him. Breaks it up well
@@thakewlmuzik2012 yeah love the song it's part of my teen yrs.but the version with astro in just adds that extra something.it's more reggae.
This song reminds me in the UK with my son in our garden just in the summer this playing good memories ❤
i cant help falling in love by ub40,,,,,,,,,,,,,, best elvis cover of this song,....btw one of the first multicultural british bands
Whenever life starts to get to me, I throw this one on, with a spliff, and everything is good.
Rocking this all day everyday for my life heard ub40 first trying to sleep as a child mommy g downstairs full volume great memories love from Birmingham uk❤
Ol school island reggae is sooo chill
UB40 AMAZING BAND WITH ALI
UB40 were popular when I was in high school. You should do Red, Red Wine. Awesome song with a reggae song.
One of my favourites to perform in my UB40 tribute band. We add vocal harmonies to it.
You should listen to live versions, they're even better.
They're from Birmingham England a diverse group with a love of reggae.
Can't not move to UB40! Can you do 1in 10 next.
Mr vagus-heads high
Kevin lyttle-turn me on
Fuse odg-milliion pound girl,Dangerous love has to be the video with the couple.shes wearing a green dress
Ub40 is very popular i. The world of reggae in the late 80s to early 90s
This was one of my beautiful husband's funeral song's. Love him ...love them
UB40 are a British Reggae Pop Band with tons of 80's Hits :-D
Asia was vibing foreal 😂 gotta react to more reggae music guys 👌🏽
Nice, I've loved this group since I was a teenager. Have you reacted to 'Food For Thought' or 'One In Ten' yet?
My childhood jams..🤙🏾
If you like their Reggae sounding songs...you will like the Labour Of Love Albums...1,2,3...can't remember if there was a number 4. But they are all awesome albums.
Oh, I'm grooving now to some reggae music. Good band!
Good choice again I love you all from London uk
Must listen to "Where did i go wrong" and "Im Not Fooled Easily "" Contaminated Minds, The Earth Dies Screaming" ❤❤❤
So I see now you're stepping in the ska. You need bands like UB40 aswad, specials, goldfinger and a few other great ska bands and punk ska
UB40 are not a ska band, they are reggae. They set out with the intention to distance themselves from the emerging ska 2 tone movement at their formation to promote their love of reggae.
They make me so proud to be from Birmingham
Legendary reggae British band
You need to listen to “ King “ their song about Martin Luther also Earths dies Screaming and food for thought. Powerful songs.
Reggae / ska music took the UK by storm , and started a whole new multicultural sub culture, which cant be bad.
The name UB40 came from the fact that they were unemployed and in the UK eack week you fill out a form to get your benefits, the form is Unemployment Benefit form 40 UB40.
Have you checked out Kingston Town & Many Rivers to Cross. Classics. You’ll love them. Peace dudes 😉👍
UB40 Do a whacky song - There's a rat in me kitchen! And an awesome cover of Elvis's Can't help falling in love...
Best of ub40 is one of my last surviving CDs. Awesome ever track
I like the way you guys react to this. Kingston Town...
The Polynesian anthem 😏 it ain't a party without UB40
Their first 4 or 5 albums are their best work.
They’re on tour for the next 6 weeks in the USA and will likely sing this song.. go see them!!
Not the same without Ali.
4 members of UB40 featuring none of the main vocalists are on tour you mean! This sound with vocalist will not be on tour!
The band split in two, I would only go see Ali and those with him sing and play and not the breakaway group
@@overthewebbAli is the one that broke away …original band is still awesome w Robin, Norman, JB, and Earl!
Cherry Oh baby.
Version Girl.
Please don’t make me cry. 👌🏼
💯💯Groovin 4 2024
Next how about summer 1967's Groovin' by The Young Rascals?! I can pretty much guarantee you'll love it.💞✌
One of my all time faves. Love the Young Rascals.
Please check out some ska music and skinheads moonstomping in the UK 🇬🇧
Hi, You Need To Do " King " And Then " Food For Thought " Which Was Their First Single, A Double " A " Side. You Won't Be Disappointed, By The Way Its A Huge Rabbit Hole You're Entering. 🙂
Love those two!
One in ten and bring me your cup great songs
Do Kingston town please !!! ❤️❤️❤️
Do more UB40
Try their song- the way you do the things you do..
This sounds like Christafari.
This is SO CLOSE to their song "Red Red Wine"!
Umma try get some other UB40 favs in livestream no names my choices maybe stolen 🤣
Red Red wineexcellent
React to adaeaze-A life without you 🫡💯
Not bad. I prefer Bob Marley over all the Reggae songs.
Of course, Bob Marley was the Godfather, I love Bob Marley as number one and I still love UB40 myself though, but Bob was the King, but it doesn't mean you can't like others. There doesn't have to be a conflict. UB40 kept reggae going as the style and music changed in the Caribean after and they kept it 'old skool' reggae
@@overthewebb Very much agreed. Someone needed to say that. Thank you.
Please listen to Kingston Town and Breakfast in bed
UB40 nice but please review some authentic Jamaican reggae, you will be pleasantly surprised.
