Big thing to consider is that men are normally less flexible than women and have a higher center of mass than women do. It’s really cool to see the differences in “specialty” between women and men displayed in gymnastics
Muscle mass is distributed differently on male and female bodies making certain actions easier for some than for others. Center of gravity makes a difference.
I wish they did part 2. I loved seeing the way the guys struggled to do it right, now I wanna see the girls sturggle to get it right! I bet that would be funny too :D
That last guy was the closest to way they carry their head through the flip but he folded himself. I keep rewatching the video to see what he did that made him collapse. This has to be one of the elements they do because of the way they carry their body and head through the flip. It’s honestly one of the most mesmerizing things to watch. It’s so beautiful ❤
Major difference just biologically speaking.. even if they trained its going to be harder and less elegant for men to do the same routines due to their center of gravity they'd also sacrifice muscle growth for that flexibility which is something that they can't really lose as most of their routines are specifically upper body based so there's a trade off just from the muscle mass limits how flexible they can be plus their center of gravity being higher.
Not going to lie, if you see my dumb ass trying this, go ahead and get the c-collar ready and get the ambulance on its way. What these ladies do is nothing short of amazing and they make it look so easy as they casually just flip with out their hands touching the ground.
Most people do not understand the mechanical differences in the male and female bodies. The difference in hip motion and movement alone causes most of these differences.
Also, most people don't understand the difference between trained and untrained. Those men were able to improve quickly at those routines because everyone in the video is a gymnast. If you take any random woman off the street, they would perform at they guy's level or worse. That is because a trained person is very different from an untrained person. If those men and women were given the same routines to practice their entire gymnast careers, they would perform at the same level.
@EctoPhantasmagoria yes but there'd still be some level of difference in the balance and/or how it's achieved/performed. It varies. But training can get you to that point. However some of these maneuvers even if trained, are harder to achieve

Found it!

I wish they did part 2. I loved seeing the way the guys struggled to do it right, now I wanna see the girls sturggle to get it right! I bet that would be funny too :D
The guy who folded actually had beautiful form though!
For everyone mad in the comments, it was just for fun.
Love this series
That last guy was the closest to way they carry their head through the flip but he folded himself. I keep rewatching the video to see what he did that made him collapse. This has to be one of the elements they do because of the way they carry their body and head through the flip. It’s honestly one of the most mesmerizing things to watch. It’s so beautiful ❤
comment section full of frustrated little incels if you hate women stop complaining and watching 💀💀 y’all are doing way too much
"but at what cost" 😭🤣
Although the 2nd man didn't stick the landing, he's far more graceful than the 1st man.
the front aerial one is beautiful, the way the rest of the body gracefully follows after the feet land is pretty cool
I love this series, it really shows that both sides take a lot of work and should be equally appreciated and respected
The ladies look so graceful and the men 😂 I love this series of attempts.
Ik this video is such a cool concept. Hope they do more
Not me tearing up at the fact that we finally get a win in sports
There’s this thing called balls. And men really like to keep them intact
Reading through these comments is so fucking sad, Jesus Christ guys this is all in good fun, like, chill and enjoy things
The end got me 😂😂😂😂😂 his body folded like squidwards when he was turning into handsome squidward 😂😂
The front aerials were too violent 😂
Men doing flips is like throwing a sledge hammer
The last guy heard the hurricane Katrina song
I am really enjoying these videos. I didn't realize how much variety there was in gymnastics and how each decision has its own challenges.
Last guy folded like an omelette
Turns out… the people who practice those moves since they’re kids can do them better than those who only just did them for the first time.
Yeah, I thought the same.
Props to the women for making this look super smooth and easy!
"I can't even lay down" just like me fr
That first move is called the nut crusher
Its almost like our bodies are different and have different centers of gravity and our range of motion has different angles of rotation
😂 Almost. Maybe.
Dude watching the guys’ center of gravity screw them on that last one was bruuutal. Lol
"At what cost?"
"Losing the ability to have children"
