E. Coli in OUR Food

- After deciding to buy organic salad greens at the store, Kevin and Sarah learn that all romaine lettuce has been recalled due to E. Coli. They are very surprised to learn of many other food recalls within the month of November and it reignites their fire to grow and raise all of their own food. Sarah and Kevin explain how they plan to do it even though winter is just beginning.

***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 3 new videos every week! Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we transition from city dwellers to full time homesteaders!

It's such a shame the risk the public takes when they are dependant on grocers for their food. I agree there absolutely should be a public notice requirement! Thank you for sharing and I hope your audience is encourage to grow their own food or know their farmer!
There is a public notice requirement because otherwise the grocery stores have a liability for selling products that have been recalled
@@miriambertram2448 - That sounds nice but notices are not being posted/communicated as Kevin and Sarah detailed in their video. Plus, with the US justice system more often siding with the offenders, it is up to individuals to prove their illness was from a recalled product. It takes a lot of time and money (doc visits, etc.) to gather such evidence. I doubt most people want to make such an investment when they prefer to puke/poop in their own home in between naps.
@@thelittlebrownranch9105 at this point the lettuce gets recalled every 6 months in the US! I don't even understand how E.Coli is getting om greens unless people are shitting on them. We all need to take the hint and just grow our own greens
@@xxnekonekox my question is why romaine, which I only buy for my dog.
@@xxnekonekox part of it stems from contamination into the water from animal waste. There have been some great documentaries documenting how industrial meat farming practices have a trickle affect on neighboring farms. Water doesn't respect fence lines. poisonous run off is a legit issue. It's also coming from lack of regs in processing areas. E coli is showing up in flour too from contaminated wheat or other grains seeding the mills with the bacteria thus spreading it to everything that goes through that mill.
My husband was diagnosed with hepatitis A in March from eating at a restaurant in Maryland. The health department hopped on the bandwagon and despite other cases, in our county, nothing was ever publicly declared. He spent 10 days in the hospital and is now fine, but it was a close call. Don’t expect the government to come clean on this stuff. I think they fear mass panic.
That is absolute fact. Many years ago, I had an opportunity to speak with the interim surgeon general after Mr. Koop retired about the risks involved with AIDS and their advice to use rubber dams in "intimate" situations. Not very practical, btw, and how the University of Spain did a study on the amount of blood in saliva before and after kissing. I was informed that they had seen that study, but didn't want to release that to the public here in the US due to creating widespread panic. I told her that I believe my fellow Americans are pretty smart when presented all the facts and I believe they can handle it. What a goat rope...🤨

What restaurant?
Im glad he recovered
Not sure what restaurant. We had to give the health department a complete list of every where we ate for one month. The goal was for them to get back to us after other people got sick and let us know. They refused to give us any info. I called and called them to no avail.

These recalls seem to have come out in just the last few years. I was a produce manager for years. We cleaned all leafy greens before they we were ever on the shelf. These things do not seem to be done any more. I am sorry if I offend anyone but I feel as though what is going on is domestic terrorism.
Agree and its not just in the food.
Yep. And what aggravates me...and worries me even more...is that the stores refuse to let people know of the recalls. Isn't that illegal??
You're not the only one!
@@hyacinth8844 like certain governments might be thinning the population? Home run!
KingofallLambofGod. The FDA has been inadequate for years....since BUNKERBOY has put a death sentence to the FDA and destroyed ALL oversight...what the hell else would happen?
I have to add my .02, as well. Last year I got so, so sick and wasn't getting any better. I finally went to see the doc who did some tests and gave me antibiotics. It turns out I had ecoli! It wasn't until about a month later that I discovered the salads I'd been eating from Walmart were under a recall. And so that drove home for me the need to grow my own greens. Incidentally, I discovered kale will grow year round here in my backyard garden and pests pretty much stay away from it. Thanks for bringing this subject up, so many people need to be more food aware now more than ever. God bless you both.
Wow! So sorry you had to go through that!
I love growing Kale, but we battle Aphids ALL the time. Grrr.
We planted very few Fall/Winter crops this year too. We just needed a break after all the growing/canning for months on end. Lol
How did they narrow it down to e coli?
Thanks Deborah. I’m in Tasmania so even though I don’t particular like kale it will be good to have some fresh crunch in a side dish with a vinaigrette dressing. It gets so cold and wet here for many months now but with what Sarah and her husband are growing, sounds like it’s something I can copy.
To cindy pierce: They really should be much more proactive regarding things like that! But to Kevin and Sarah, keep on top of testing your well water. It's free, all you need to do, is go to your local health department office and request one, the first time. After that you'll know what to do every few weeks later...
You guys are so filled with heart. All you do here is a gift to us from your heart and I just wanted to acknowledge this about your channel. You guys are real, down to earth, honest and wholesome. Thank you for being a rare gem of pure simplicity in a world gone mad.
I was so excited to see the ducks using the new house!!😁😄
WOW, here in the UK. they have to put notices up. and its so rare it hits the news. We were shocked to find out about things that are allowed to be in your food. one person with e-coli is media worthy.
Contaminants aren’t allowed, that’s why there are recalls!
Yes, sprouts and micro greens are hot right now. Yesss..i can do that..but I love my lettuce I'm thinking about growing lettuce in my unheated spare room as well.. experiments in the works.. Motivated!
Enjoy your journey and your produce...I'd never thought of it before, but a couple of years ago, I came across a CZcams video growing CANTALOUPE inside.. he just got his wife's old nylons and put hooks in the wall where the actual melons were growing. Hung each a wee hammock to rest on, saving the vines from trying to support that weight. And himself a lot if mucky messes to clean up when the vines(invariably( gave out in their ability to support the growing weight of them! I thought it an interesting concept, but never quite got around to trying it. Although eith my adoration for the fruit, and rising costs everywhere...it may not be long before I DO!
thats a lot of recall, growing our own food is a must now!
Since there are 330 million people in the United States to be fed 66 people getting sick from lettuce is not such a big number. It is my opinion that finding contaminated food is terrific it is better than not finding it
If you think about all the food in the usa and all the restaurants etc. That's not that many problems with the millions of products made. We have to have perspective on things. Common sense has to be used. I'm not sure there is as much of that as there use to be. Not sure where that has gone. 🤔

I had no idea there was a reason for seeds being labeled "food grade sprouting seeds" were special or different than others. Thanks for the info!
There was a recall on Romaine lettuce where I lived and they put a sign up.
Really loved the idea of topping off the seed pots with see starting mix.
Good moring Kevin And Sarah.
Yes, you need to make listening to an all news station in the morning when having breakfast. We heard about the recall all day here in NY.
Loving the rooster in the background calling in the hen for a morsel of something good to eat!
Yay, I love watching the ducks. It is my favorite part of your videos. Puts a smile on my face every day. I had some contaminated lettuce from Sams that I took back. We had bought it the previous week and Sams sent us an email letting us know. Pretty scary that we may have eaten it before we knew it was bad. Hugs❤️
I wash my basil ,let it dry and put in a bag and freeze them, then when I need it I just tack a chunk off and use it,it’s like having fresh basil,it will turn dark in the freezer and looks like it’s not good but when you cook with it ,it turns green again. Like fresh from the garden and I have been doing this for years
A friend of mine purees basil and puts just a bit of olive oil in it but freezes it in a little square silicone ice cube tray. The cubes are a bit smaller than normal cubes but then she pops them into good freezer bags and just takes them out frozen and they are all just the right size. You're right about the dark color but it looks green again in the sauce.
I did finally grow quite a bit of basil this summer but i dried it this time around but I'm going to try your and her way of freezing tjem next summer.
Have you tried doing it with mixed herbs and maybe garlic?

I preserve mint that way, works great and tastes better than dried.
Our news cover all of them. Up here in Minnesota. The lettuce was the same farm as last year recall
Sounds like a great idea. My husband built me a small indoor rack w grow lights. I think I will try this. You've been inspiring me to try to grow more of my own food. God bless you both!
Holy crap, that list of recalls!! That’s so alarming
And people wondered just why dairy farmers our Government were fighting about American dairy being sold up here? It's not just about supply and demand. Up here, a farmer can be charged if she allows someone to drink raw milk, even if there's a communal pitcher of it on the table during a meal! Guest drinks raw milk, gets sick, no one can *prove* it wasn't the milk. Yet everyone else is fine. Yup, gotta be that *raw milk* !🤦♀️🤯
Now add in the private well. It's at the point that many farmers are keeping bottled water on hand just for guests! And, if having company, a bag, or carton of storebought milk. Just in case.🤨🥜
@@highstandards6226 ,
One big reason for that is the large dairy companies do not want to have additional competition from the small dairy farmers ! The laws of 100 years ago made sense at that time because of the lack of refrigeration in those times. Today , good refrigeration is readily available and yet the old laws still apply. Why ? Because now the old laws are being used to prevent competition from the small dairy farmers. Why ? Because the small dairy farmers can provide real , undiluted milk.
Some of us old codgers remember real milk. After my family moved from farm country into the city , we had to begin buying processed milk. At that time milk was only pasteurized. Then later on homogenized milk became available. For two cents extra per quart. And milk was delivered to our house ! And then.........someone in the milk processing business noticed that when milk is homogenized , you can no longer tell HOW MUCH cream there is in the milk ! Thus the birth of 4% " whole milk " . Most of the cream is REMOVED from milk to be sold as a separate product.
Today most people accept homogenized milk as the standard , equating it with pasteurized milk. IT IS NOT THE SAME THING ! And it is also NOT whole milk ! Homogenized milk is chemically treated to cause the cream to be suspended in the milk ! Once suspended you can no longer SEE how much cream is in the milk. Although if you know the difference between raw milk or plain pasteurized milk and homogenized milk , you can taste the difference ! You can taste the cream in real whole milk. I've noticed also that it is VERY difficult to find any non-homogenized milk in a store. I have not seen any plain pasteurized milk for years now. And now you know why ! You have been and are being scammed now. 4% " whole milk " indeed ! Which means that only 4% of the original cream is left in the milk.
They are really trying to get rid of folks arnt they!
I just harvested 3 types of lettuce for my lunch.. thankful for the weather here in Az.
You just talked me into growing my own greens this winter!!!
Love your video.
You can also re-grow onions, and as long as you keep the soil fertile, the green shoots will keep coming. Works for me. ❤
Clearly something is broken in the system with how frequently food recalls have been cropping up. Industrial farming practices need an overhaul away from monoculture into a more permaculture model that reduces issues around disease to being in balance. Glad you guys were able to avoid exposure and everyone is healthy.

That is so adorable to hear your rooster while you are talking😂😂😂😊
The media is always late with the news on recalls. Can’t rely on them. Some states require stores to post recalls. Usually near the front of the store.
The same thing happens unfortunately with people growing their own food. it just isn’t reported to the news media. One slip in preparation or storage can cause a problem. If the government found out every time someone got sick from homegrown or a farmers market they would make sure we couldn’t grow anything. With the store bought food, all it takes is finding a problem with a couple of packages countrywide they put out a recall. The difference between homegrown and store bought is you have more control as to how its process and no one will hear about the “flu” you thought you have. I totally support having your own garden and making sure YOUR food is safe.
Linda, many if not most of these recalls are from giant farms, and the contamination comes from the fact that the workers are out in the fields for 12+ hours with no bathrooms, no washing stations, etc. They are paid by the volume they harvest, so they do what they gotta do to relieve themselves. Human feces and dirty hands = e coli etc. At some point the public outcry and necessity will force these farms to change. Put in clean ways for workers to work, spending money and raising the price of produce. Growing your own is certainly the way to go.
@@karianngardenguru I always wonder what is it about romaine lettuce
I love a good alfalfa and cheese sandwich with mayo and garlic powder. Yummy!
Even knowing about the recalls, it’s still shocking . What are we doing to ourselves and our children?!?
that is the question now isn't it? We're poisoning ourselves, our lands, our water and our air with toxins, chemicals, pesticides, vaccines... I don't think human beings are considered non-gmo or organic these days... i don't care if you claim to be vegan or whatever, unless you are strictly growing and eating everything from scratch (in a sterile facility) you got toxins in your body. We all do. Fluoride in the water, aluminum metal particles in the skies... u don't even wanna know what is in the meat filler items at taco bell.
And then... I heard my 42 yr old son counseling a younger coworker and “... yeah, that’s what my mom told me in high school and ya know? she was right.” Learning what he thought, and what he would change about his upbringing was an eyeopener. But I’m proud of the man he had become. God bless all y’all. Bein’ a parents ain’t always easy, but it can be very rewarding.

Fantastic episode !! I'm in Arizona and we grew a large garden of lettuce, radish, spinach. Harvesting now! But now I'm gonna grow sprouts! 🙏👍🏻🙂
Be very, very careful where you buy those sprout seeds, and know how to pre-treat them. The e-Coli is INSIDE some seeds, not the dirt you use. Good sprout vid at Simple Living Alaska channel.
The romaine lettuce that was recalled is from Salinas CA because there was ecoli in the water from fecal matter which has happened once before
Watching the ducks never gets old!
I’ve been growing sprouts for the past couple of years. Such a quick and simple way to add fresh “garden” crunch to our diet. Good decision, guys!
When the pickers in the fields have to go to the bathroom, they simply go in the fields. They don’t have proper facilities and they don’t wash their hands. This is why I won’t eat lettuce or spinach that I haven’t grown myself.
That’s exactly right! Ugh
Spot on. Especially coming out of Asia.
Well thats just not true at all. I live in the lettuce capital and all the migrant pickers have portable toilet trailers. Im not saying that they all wash their hands or that they have the cleanest practices but lets not just start making stuff up.
@@elizabethjohnson8269 I live in an entirely different *country* and attest, that the former is MUCH more common than your practice! Can only wish more were like you!!💞🤗
@@elizabethjohnson8269 but that's the point isn't it? Ecoli happens because our pickers are not washing their hands and probably also at times urinating and defecating in the fields. Its not made up, unfortunately....
We bought some romaine lettuce at a Walmart, through their pickup service, my wife got some stomach issues and then we got a email notice from Walmart of the recall. We checked ours and it was from the farm in question. Had they not notified us we would have continued using it.

Romaine lettuce was recalled here in Canada as well. Very scary. I did return what I had for a refund but now I am more leary . Recalls are happening way to often in a variety of foods. South Texas is also a great place to grow in the winter. Thanks so much for the video. I’ve shared it with my family.
Food recalls means the system is WORKING not that there is something wrong with the system. For the amount of food that must be produced in USA in a month I'm surprised there were not more recalls than that.
Agree bad show for Walmart not showing a food recall notice for food they had sold UNLESS it was only a precaution on their part and no specific recall had been issued on the product they had sold. A notice explaining the removal of the lettuce should have been posted in any case.
I have to agree. After working in a food processing plant, I know how rigorously tested everything is for these diseases. With all due respect, a lot of small producers around the country would not even know if their product was affected by one of these. The bacteria lurks EVERYWHERE. In the food safety business, there's a saying of it's not a matter of if you're going to find lysteria, it's a matter of when and where. But I'm all for growing your own food. We just can't get to thinking we're immune from having any of these issues.
Derek, some people use local farmers but how often is their food contaminated and how would they, or would they, initiate a recall. Have you heard or read any stories that this is and issue. When I buy from local farmer markets, I pay cash so there's no trail to contact me if there was a problem. Re recalls, last week I got an email from Sam's Club to toss spring mix I bought from them 2-3 days before. Sam's club refunded my money.

I get emails from the FDA constantly about recalls that I hear about much latter. It's good to get on their mailing list. What gets me is I thought the FDA's job was to keep these things from happening, not mop up the mess after the fact!

Hello from Northern Ireland. Thank you for another good video. The food scares are crazy and I agree the only way to be sure what you put in your mouth is safe and wholesome is to grow it. I'm going to begin growing those little sprouts and micro greens and will sow a few things to have indoors for winter. I don't have a greenhouse and our winters can be snowy and icy and frosty. We also have a lot of very wet weather and our garden gets hit with a lot of gusty winds during winter. Pots and bowls of salad leaves and spinach will be ok inside on a window sill. I enjoy your videos and just found you and subscribed a few days ago. I've decided to try to get some _canning' jars and stuff so I can learn how to preserve our organic produce. God bless you both and keep you safe.
Watching this video when you mention the E. Coli in flour, I had to pause and do a quick Google search... I was absolutely heartbroken to find out that I had fed my sourdough starter with flour that had been recalled. I called my fiancee in tears! It was gifted to me from an old friend who lives 5000km away. The starter had come across the content with me, fed in eight different Canadian provinces and makes the most wonderfully complex bread!
...Imagine my relief and adrenaline when I find out fifteen minutes later that the flour recalled was only in the States and that brand in Canada is safe :') I feel so silly but SO thankful!! But, lesson learned! I'm going to make sure I dehydrate some of it and store it away just incase!!
I highly recommend everyone attached to a starter does the same thing, just incase! The only way you can trust the food you're eating, is if you grow it yourself. Such a sad reality for those who have to rely on grocery store.
How do you dehydrate a starter? Very interested!
@@coramdayo CZcams videos.
When you've just fed it and its nice and bubbly and fully expanded, spread it out on baking paper and leave to dry overnight (I put it in the turned-off oven to keep away draft and critters), when its dried just crunch it up into a powder and store in a clean air-tight container. When you need to revive it, feed it equal parts water and flour for two or three days, it should revive fully.
I've done this before, and thankful I did as I once accidentally baked my active starter and killed it, thank goodness I had the dried stuff in storage to revive. I've dehydrated some more and put it away in storage now just incase I ever feed it E. Coli flour by accident.
Get a Salad Spinner (I highly recommend the Oxo brand), and ALWAYS rinse your greens with some vinegar water, regardless of whether it's prewashed or not.

It's very evident y'all have been married for a while and tell stories together. The passing of the story back and forth is seamless
Thanks Kevin and Sarah .
For the first time in my life, I have planted a Fall garden here in Southern California. I have brassicas under nets to keep the bugs out (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, dinosaur kale), Romaine lettuce, mesclun mix lettuce, carrots, snow peas, radishes, celery, green onions, and Walla Walla onions. I really do think the nets are key to keep the aphids and cabbage worms off of the brassicas. We'll see how it all goes, but so far, so good!
I avoid romaine at the store like the plague because it seems that it's constantly being recalled. I do need to get on top of growing my own greens though.
Why IS romaine always being recalled? Is it being sabotaged by the iceberg growers? Hey, don't sabotage the romaine, just grow romaine instead of so much iceberg! I read that it has more nutrition than even kale.
@@lindajohnson4204, it's not being sabotaged. It's because growers are using manure that isn't fully composted.
@@amandabarnes5235 But it is almost always romaine! Or maybe it just seems that way to me.
It's bc the pickers poop in the field and many suffer from communicable diseases bc they come from 3rd world conditions is what I was told.
Romaine has a tight leaf pattern with an opening on top. I wonder if the poop splashes up and into the lettuce then is harder to wash out. We joke: " who's poop are we eating tonight?" As we're washing and triple washing our lettuce from the stores.
My favorite part of your videos is the ducks running in the morning! Thank you Sarah and Kevin for sharing your knowledge of homesteading with us! I'm learning so much from both of you! God Bless you and your family! I will forever watch your channel !
This is the very same reason production of micro greens are on my list of priorities. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. Blessings. ❄️
My son just got sick we thought stomach bug turns out his sams club salads were recalled ! So frustrating !
We are having cold summer in some parts of Australia. We had recalls on berries and melons due to listeria and hepatitis. It was found out that the berries were imports from Asia. I'm a bit behind with planting, but planting tomatoes, capsicums and basil, tomorrow
If you have Netflix watch Rotten and Food Inc. 🐨🐨🙂
I can't think of anything coming from Asia that isn't imported poisonous or toxic.
Yaelra R. Yeah and now they’ve just sold off one of he largest milk companies to China. ☹️
I started growing my own sprouts and love them
You are the best teachers I've seen! Thank you, blessings!
Sarah how did the test come out? Still praying for you and your family.
I want to know too.
They take time 😕
It turns out that she was fine. They do want her to back in in 6 months instead of a year. But for now everything is ok.
Scary what is going on with our foood supply.

Well done, grow as much as you can. We grow our vegies on our small block. In Western Australia.
I didn't realize how many items were recalled! It's funny how sprouting and sprouts are coming back into peoples awareness. I remember in the 80 the sprouting I did and sure do miss it. Thanks for reminding me. I'm gonna get me some seeds and do it again.
Turkeys are looking very nice and love the duck run. Kevin and Sarah, keep on teaching it. My bride has often said why have my garden each year when she could buy it cheaper in the store. With what you just shared about he recalls is exactly my point. Sprouts is an easy start for anyone to start. Thanks so much for sharing. Love and blessings to your family.
With all the recalls I think there is a snake in the wood pile some where.
Gail Reese I've worked in a chicken processing plant , had to be a tyrant about hand washing, foot baths etc.
@@beckywatt5048 beef farm, cow/calf. Same, but it paid off when the other farmer lost almost 50% of HIS crop that year and we had 2 get sick, but saved...same numbers, HUGE DIFFERENCE in outcome!
Not that I'm celebrating his dead animals, justvthatvit underscored a very important difference.
High standards Agreed, please explain a little more , all cow / calf in my area is 99.9 % out doors , and alot of guys went to calving in Feb. to get away from the mud and it's complications , what sickness did he have ?
I wash ALL PRODUCE I bring into our home, whether from our garden or the store, especially the "prepared" packages. I've known for a long time migrant workers defecate and urinate in the produce fields as they work (kind of like the kids in the public pools, right?) Producers are in the business to make a living, not to ensure your health.
Question: doesn't washing the greens and vegetables get rid of the e. coli and other pathogens? And: does e. coli affect chickens and other livestock? I have some research to do.
Anyway, we built a nice, large hoop house this autumn, but we didn't get it done soon enough to plant winter crops. Winter settled in especially early this year; then we got to the 10 hour daylight limit for growth, and that was that! We have noticed our "shoulder seasons" getting smaller and smaller. Our planting/harvest season is a good three to four weeks shorter than it was a few decades ago, hence the hoop house.
Right now we have our pastured chickens in the hh, to survive the winter. They are our compost workers, and I look forward to the extra fertility they will bring to the annual garden. They will be moved back to pasture early enough to let the manure cool down before we plant. DH is building a work bench for me in there, to hold the seed starting trays (similar to what you showed in the video) so I can get a leg up on the planting season. This is all new to me (hoop house growing) so I look forward to learning from you. I also have been reading everything by Eliot Coleman, because who would know better than a farmer in Maine how to grow in the winter!
I've grown sprouts of lentils, peas, and beans for our chooks for a winter treat, but never for us.
Rose Haven Farm no, the E. coli gets into the cells of the romaine, it’s not just on the outside.
Truth Seeker yes, it certainly is. We're in fora nice, cold, 50-80 year ride.
Cynthia Fisher very good, i didn't know that. Thank you.
Cynthia Fisher ...and that is awful. My word, everything falling apart.
@@cynthiafisher9907 That's what I read.
ya'll inspire me every day super video. praying for the family God bless and as always have a great day
Really great video. I keep watch on food recall and also food impacts with the weather problems. You have inspired me so much this year and have learned much from you! Thank you!
I’ll tell you another thing when you started speaking about hepatitis A. If I have to use the restroom out I take the handy wipes from the entrances of stores and also carry them in my purse. Then I do a little gloppy ball gem wipe cleanup of the toilet seats. And I’ve also started carrying my own Kleenex. Because if you think about it where do they lay that big roll of toilet paper while trying to unlock the box?
The people I know in housekeeping keep the roll in the cart until after the box is unlocked but I understand your concern.
What makes me bonkers, is that in the several states where I’ve lived in the past 10 years and have shopped at a half dozen different Kroger stores, I’ve never found a Kroger with a clean restroom. Some have been absolutely filthy with large rolls of paper laying on the floor beside the commode and the trash bin overflowing. The employees use these nasty bathrooms and then handle the food. I have commented about it often on the surveys and have seen some improvement in one store in Memphis but not near what I expect from my grocery store. I know a clean bathroom can be achieved because most gas station bathrooms are cleaner.
@@debbiemoore1561 I use to work at a Sprouts in the same metro area you speak of. Those bathrooms are DISGUSTING even if they look CLEAN. I have seen some stuff! Let me tell you!! OMG! People are NASTY! You probably wouldn't be too shocked to know that CUSTOMERS rub feces and BLOOD on the walls and fixtures. I hated using the bathroom at work. I hate using ANY public restroom for that matter now that I have seen what a cleaned up restroom IS!
theIAMofME WOW what the heck is going on up in Tennessee? I know down here in South Carolina they P all over the toilet seats. And you can be in restroom with 12 stalls and no one else in the restroom. No matter where you are they come in and sit in the stall right next to you. It is so strange. If somebody is in restroom I always pick the furthest away from them as I can possibly be.

Makes one nauseated just to hear you read that list.
It should. On the other hand, FIND a local market and start a relationship with the sellers. If theres a specific food you'd like to see, but don't, ask every stall if they know of any.😘 word spreads quickly..especially in those communities! If mo ones growing ut yet, someone WILL be by the next sale! Although that still means you'll be waiting a few weeks.😪
I'm watching this several months after it originally aired, but wow--what a reminder that it IS worth it to grow. I completely understand your fatigue and the desire for fresh veggies and greens. This is eye-opening though, that we need to do all we can to DIY our food. Thanks so much for sharing (many months ago)--Glad it is still circulating! God bless you.
I love how what would have been a negative video has ended on a positive note. 👍🏾
