- For anyone unaware, the Greedy is a character for the animated movie, Rageddy Ann and Andy, which clearly inspired the Fudge Monster. So I decided to make a voice swap. Also because they have very similar voices since the Fudge Monster is a reference to the Greedy.

Right as when Gooseworks said that she based Jax off of Andy and of course Ragatha is based off of Ann, as soon as I saw The Fudge I was like: …is that- is that the greedy-?!
Yeah I immediatly got the reference as soon as it appeared for half a second in "Wake up, Pomni"
"I'm sorry, and I'd like to help you, but I'm only a little ragdoll with licorice hair -"

Same ^^ And I love that the voice is so similar too ^^ Gooseworx is a fan of the Raggedy Ann movie and Ragatha is already inspired by Raggedy Ann so it's not that surprising, but it's still really cool.

@@GraveRobbinJake Oh yeah me too totally. That's why I used the lines from the Greedy about the sweetheart on top of the Fudge Monster. That's where the idea for this video originally came from.

Gooseworx loves that movie, and since we already have Ragatha and the Fudge Monster, I can't wait to see what other references she'll include.

Literally thats what i thought, im glad im not the only one, i thought that not alot of people knew about the raggedy ann and andy musical adventure, i had a feeling it was a refrence mainly because gooseworx said that there would be more raggedy ann and andy refrences, since ragatha's design is inspired by raggedy ann.
Not that many people know it, true, but I got lucky and the algorithm recommanded Raggedy Ann content to me, probably after I saw the short that introduced Ragatha, and the algorithm put 2 and 2 together. It was before the pilot came out.

I don’t know why but the heroic music playing when the fudge melts is hilarious and the fudges voice being used for the greedy is pretty good
Why, you guys weren't kidding when you said the Fudge was based on this... thing. Not just their personalities, and design, even the initial introductions line up really well.
And the voice and the way they move too.

I dunno if he watched the whole thing, but I'm sure that Gooseworx asked him to make a Greedy impression, like she asked Michael Kovach for a Raggedy Andy impression for Jax's voice before he gave his own spin on that voice.

i’m glad we all collectively thought about the greedy when seeing it. i just finished watching the episode and i was like damn the creator must LOVE the raggedy ann movie considering ragatha, jax lowkey sounding like andy, and now this. Now having learned they do it explains a lot 😭

I am an outsider of the Raggedy Ann fandom, so I am unfamiliar with this movie. I do know of The Greedy, thanks to other CZcamsrs talking about cartoons. Whomever it was that animated The Greedy, my goodness! They must have been working on it so dillogently because it's some of the smoothest animation I have ever seen. I place it alongside Loony Tunes and Akira (1988). I wonder if there is an official frame count out there for this scene. This was animated by hand, you guys!
I recognized what The Fudge was meant to be as soon as it appeared out of the abyss. It's very interesting & fun to see a reference to a vintage film. The Resident Evil reference (Master of unlocking) line caught me off guard. That's one of my favorite things Barry has said. Haha!
@@SpellboundWolf I know right ? It's even more impressive when you consider that it's an old movie. The Greedy is disgusting but it's so well animated, you can't look away either.
The Raggedy Ann movie is available on CZcams by the way. You can watch it. Also TADC already makes and will make more references to Raggedy Ann according to Gooseworx.
For example Jax. Gooseworx originally asked Michael Kovach to make an impression of Raggedy Andy for Jax's voice, and you can still kinda hear it, but he gave his own spin on it so that it would fit Jax's character more.
But if you look at the GlitchX stream, he makes his actual Raggedy Andy impression there and, my god, it's such an incredible impression, it sounds just like the original voice from the movie, it's crazy how good it is.

I don't know about Candyland, but Gooseworx confirmed that she loves the Raggedy Ann and Andy movie, so I'm pretty sure the Fudge is referencing the Greedy first and foremost. And I mean, if you compare their voices there's no doubt.
I prefer The Fudge over Greedy.
