Humboldt Broncos families describe pain and loss during crash sentencing hearing

  • The families of 29 people who were killed or injured in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash have begun telling their stories. They're reading victim impact statements at the sentencing hearing of 30-year-old Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, who pleaded guilty earlier this month to 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death, and 13 counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm. Seventy-five statements have been submitted to the Provincial Court, 65 are scheduled to be read during the sentencing hearing.
