    What should a person look for when purchasing palming coins?

    • @montysmagic
      @montysmagic  Před měsícem

      The most common is half dollars which work great for close-up performances. There are also a lot more choices in gimmicked coins in this size.
      I do mainly stage and parlor shows so I use only dollar coins an challenge coins. This is because they are much larger and easier for the audience to see. I do not use gimmicked coins.
      Actual palming coins are much thinner. I only recommend these if you are doing a lot of coin productions like a miser's dream routine.

    What coin works best? Half dollar?

    • @montysmagic
      @montysmagic  Před 2 měsíci

      Any coin works fine for this routine. I use dollar size or larger because it is more visible to a larger audiences.

    • @ericisenhart4762
      @ericisenhart4762 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thanks. I'm struggling to get the coin tucked in deep and was wondering if my coin was too small. More practice is the solution I think!

    • @montysmagic
      @montysmagic  Před 2 měsíci

      I don't think the size matters. I normally use dollar coins but I can also do it with a penny or dime. It does take a lot of practice so that's probably what you need.
      If you want to send me a video of what you are doing, I will look at it.
