I dig what you say at the end.
I’m a practicing “Magick” magician (Golden Dawn / Thelemic current) that has discovered a love for sleight of hand thanks to the CZcams algorithm feeding me suggested videos about “magic tricks” b/c I watch a lot of videos on Crowley, Sigils, and tarot correspondences.
I definitely do not confuse the two - there’s nothing supernatural about “magic tricks” and everything supernatural about Magick.
But - there is that “blossom of belief” the first time you see either one of them work. The “OMG this really is possible” that leads you to see the world in a different way. And that is where the real Magick is.
    Thanks for all your vids.

Excellent work Jay! I like how you pointed out that you learn different things from doing different types of shows; it really shows your willingness to be open to magic. I feel the exact same way about slight of hand. I saw a magician when I was young and he performed the French Drop and it amazed me so much that it turned out to be key to getting me started in magic. I see slight of hand as an art and you are one that really performs it with skill. Thanks for reminding me of the pure form of slight of hand.

Great video my friend. I just found your channel and WILL sub ! I did an illusion show for years and was fortunate to perform at IBM conventions and Opryland USA, one season. But my true passion was sleight of hand. I did a two-hand billiard ball routine, but never was proficient in coins. The French drop is the first thing every young magician learns, in spite of it's shortcomings. What you've shown here is excellent, so thank you for the valuable lessons. You do an amazing job with your videos.
