SankeyMagic big fan of yours here in the philippines ill try to do this and put it on my channel. Thank you master☺️☺️☺️
He showed me how he did it and I STILL think it's in his other hand lol. Genius!
I can't believe how smooth you are. Even after you show the trick, I still can't see the move. Very very nice! Thanks for sharing.
This is a beautiful video. your theory is gorgeous and its so apparent you treat magic as an art and with such love. your videos really inspire me
Fantastic contribution to magic and for anyone who wants to learn how to be a real magician. Thank you brother Sankey!!
Always awesome Jay Sankey!! Love your teaching methods and the enthusiasm that you bring is addictive. Keep it rockin’
Watching this man is always a pleasure
U cant even catch this great magician even when he's teaching u
I dig what you say at the end.
I’m a practicing “Magick” magician (Golden Dawn / Thelemic current) that has discovered a love for sleight of hand thanks to the CZcams algorithm feeding me suggested videos about “magic tricks” b/c I watch a lot of videos on Crowley, Sigils, and tarot correspondences.
I definitely do not confuse the two - there’s nothing supernatural about “magic tricks” and everything supernatural about Magick.
But - there is that “blossom of belief” the first time you see either one of them work. The “OMG this really is possible” that leads you to see the world in a different way. And that is where the real Magick is.
Thanks for all your vids.
The crazy thing is, that even knowing it is a retention vanish, my eyes still get fooled every single time...just perfect skills...great video jay!
I love how clearly you explain it. My middle name is Konrad too! (Spelled with a K because it comes from my great grandparent who was German)
I absolutely love your enthusiasm for magic. You inspire every trick I create. As soon as I figure out how to make videos I will show you.
Amazing stuff Jay! Thanks!
Loved it just starting coin magic and it's amazing how simple effects are so powerful when done in sequence.
Wow thanks for sharing the fine details of coin magic
That looks so beautiful. It works like a charm.
Great teaching video. Thanks 😎
Thanks for all your great info
The Classic just blows my mind. Great tutorial!
Wow! I had no idea that I was interested in coin magic until I saw this! Thanks so much because I'm on my way!
That was very informative, love your thoughts on this. The vanish looks so natural. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful tutorial!
Thanks Jay. Your great in many ways. Keep doing what your doing.
Very well explained. Thankyou
Awesome tutorial.
One of the most useful videos ever
Another fine addition to my collection....
Been watching your vids for a while now. Love your talk on theory. The art of sleight of hand is my favorite bit of magic. One of the best vids I have seen of yours yet.
hey his vids are nice
Great illusionist, superb teacher, fun banter
Mr Sankey you are a fantastic well rounded magician. I have learned soooo much from you in the last month. Thank you sir! I cant wait to see your new venture.
Great. Loved the cliped one! ...and thumbs up for your teaching style in general.
Brilliant Jay
Excellent work Jay! I like how you pointed out that you learn different things from doing different types of shows; it really shows your willingness to be open to magic. I feel the exact same way about slight of hand. I saw a magician when I was young and he performed the French Drop and it amazed me so much that it turned out to be key to getting me started in magic. I see slight of hand as an art and you are one that really performs it with skill. Thanks for reminding me of the pure form of slight of hand.
Thank YOU my friend, thank YOU.
I like the upside down--it gives that extra beat to show the hand coin free and really takes the heat off the hand that retains the coin
Simple.. And.. Brilliant.. Very good
The classic/traditional palm up retention vanish is my absolute favourite, the smoothness! It just flows.
Great skills
loved it
Amazing tutorial
That looks sooo good when you do it
Definitely added a bang to my vanish. Thanks!
Thank You
The explanation of the trick and the way it is explained can be a trick of its own.
great!!!.. loved the way you do it..😊
Wow I'm impressed!
Nice, very nice! I like a tutorial showing front and back views and slow enough for learners to take in all of the subtle motions with explanations on theory. Also, the video was well lighted, clear and uncluttered. I just found this lesson by accident and I made a point to immediately to look for others by you. Thanks
Thank you
You're the best , thank you!!
Nice teaching
You are so good, I was fooled time after time trying to glean a little from it.
Inspiring vid, I'm definitely more interested in slight of hand, what's the name of the track in the background during the tutorial?
Another awesome video. I really enjoy your level of skill, yet you keep it very humble as well. Great work.
Love your videos. I am blind in the left eye and losing my right but, will enjoy your videos as long as I can. Great videos. Do you know how the squeeze box illusion is done ?
Perfection - from one of the finest teachers!
I try Ring, I try.... :)
Excellent tutorial, especially the importance of the flash, that's so selling.
The classic is powerful for changing a coin into for instance a dice. The clipped is a great addition.
Of these three, I like the upside down one best. I agree about the extra beat in turning your fist over.
Thanks bro! Was looking forward to learning a new coin trick!!
Excellent explaination😘😘😘
Seen this a few time and iam back to refresh and sharpen thanks jay your the beez kneezz man 😎
I've been using the "classic" one for a long time, but I didn't know the "clipped" and I've loved it
Yeah, I've shown it to a bunch of magicians who didn't know the clipped version either. Glad u groove it.
SankeyMagic glad you read me!
Hey Jay, I love your videos! Can you please let me know where you get your glasses? I want some just like yours!
Nice!!!
Wow it's a wonderful
You are a great teacher. Onward!
Thanks and ya know, I learn so much by trying my very best to teach the things I'm passionate about. So we are BOTH learning - together.
I like the "Clip" vanish because it looks like you are simply holding the coin and letting it drop into the hand while actually having it clipped in your fingers. Great videos. I love your magic performances/tutorials.
Thanks Mista Furniture!
Your welcome. Keep up the great content☺🖒
Absolutely Stunning, the best retention vanish I've ever seen, this is Sience of the Retention Artist.
Thanks.
Wow Jay,I really did see the coin in your left hand, after you pulled your right hand back- what a powerful illusion, with something I know well( not that I can do coin magic sleights, but I know how most of them are done) This shows that 90% of any trick is delivery and performance rather than 10% being the method!
Thanks for the videos. Been using these magic tricks to fool my friends, thank you very much
I have been waiting for this tutorial for so long. Thank you! I like the classic retention vanish the most, but the other two look awesome also.
Pure sleight of hand is my favourite. No pre-prepared, gimicks or gadgets. It is just beautiful.
Thank you for this video :) You have a new subscriber..
Thanks
These are all so useable, I often have trouble finding what to do in casual cituations, these are just the best!
Boom shaka shaka!!!!
I really enjoy the clip technique
A very good made and structured video. And a really nice theory of magic. Also the effects are very good done. I rally enjoyed seeing it. My congratulations from Spaim.
Thanks for the kind words Cesar. Big thanks from Canada.
Wow! I learned a lot from this video! Can the same techniques be applied to sponge balls?
In many ways - absolutely!
Brilliant sankey... great tricks
Thanks Z!
Yes. I love you. Please continue on doing coin vids like these or rope or misdirection magic
JAY, first off, thanks for sharing your wonderful skills. I wanted to ask you what is the best size coin to work with when learning these slights. I have a gold plated dollar coin. Can that be used? I'm really excited and looking forward to signing up with your online magic courses. Looks like an awesome deal. Thanks again!
Close to real magic! Good line.
He is to good thanks for your magic bro
Thankyou for your thoughts
I like to say that man is a mystical creature
We need to embrace that part of ourselves , regardless of fashionable ideas
And we set off on the road to wholeness
Godblessyou
Love the upside down retention vanish. it almost appears as a toss. very useful tips today! Already thinking bout Put Take and Drop - thanks Jay!
Hey Jay. It's been too long man. Hope you and the family are all 100%.
SankeyMagic thanks Jay. One day I’ll show you how long it’s been. I was digging through some old boxes and found some cool stuff. Lecture notes and a couple VHS tapes - including Sankitized! From an early 90’s appearance you made in Minneapolis! I’ll take some pics of this fine vintage collection and drop you a line soon!
Sankey is the best.
love the after thoughts!.... almost more than the tricks themselves haha
Very Very good
Awesome, thanks for sharing this with us :) For me it will be the classic one which i like the most
Vokurka
The classic was the best. I just felt so natural and normal and it looks SO good.
Jay, every time you did the trick here my mind could see that coin going into your left hand. Amazing!
The power and the glory of the retention of vision!
Great moves, i always like classics stuffs ;)
Bro Ur awesome......
Wow nice once more secret magic trick
I really love all the vanishes and I think they all have a time and a place thanks so much for teaching this I have been doing magic but I didn't really have a good coin vanish. If I had to chose one of the vanishes it would probably be the upside down.
Probably the one I perform the most as well. It just 'feels right' in my hands.
omg so good
Awesome tutorial . Definitely adding these moves to my repertoire.
Yo Frenzieeeeeeeeee! Thanks for the thumbs up.
FrenzyMagic real magic
ilao kristoff thats nothing, my wife can make hundreds of pounds dissappear and i never know where its gone
I could practice these for a million years n never get them!! So smooth and clean Jay!
Thank you for sharing this. I bought a book on slight of hand bit it seemed sort of old fashioned. Your stuff has a fun new feel to it that makes it so great.
Yesss! Thanks for that!
I like this move~!
He's awsome
Great video my friend. I just found your channel and WILL sub ! I did an illusion show for years and was fortunate to perform at IBM conventions and Opryland USA, one season. But my true passion was sleight of hand. I did a two-hand billiard ball routine, but never was proficient in coins. The French drop is the first thing every young magician learns, in spite of it's shortcomings. What you've shown here is excellent, so thank you for the valuable lessons. You do an amazing job with your videos.
