🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

The seafood videos are my favorite, especially when you’re exploring that shit out on the water!!!
👍

my best bro sonny looking handsome thank you for your huge respect against cpec friendship countries lot of love from your best bro viki 🍻
Pagpag videos
Never thought a food review show can handle such complex social and environmental issues so elegantly..u are probably the best food channel right now
Agreed! I think anyone who was an Anthony Bourdain fan should love this show as well.
What did he say
ma dude.. i think u didn't read the channel name b4 watching.
Lmao 🤣
Somw would say the best ever. ; )
Sonny became a criminal for our sake. Our hero! ❤
True ❤😂
Point of correction we didn't send him there. He went by himself
I wanted to see it cooked 🤫
Uh. Ok.
F
As a conservation biologist, I appreciate how you saw that mistake as something a lot of us can learn from, I mean you could have easily taken out all shots about that but you didn't and now people know about this species and are educated. I came here for the food but I stayed for the lessons, Weldone Sonny! A-peace!
I want to try the red horse conch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!its so delicious……….
you mean activist.i hate activists
@@jarrodyuki7081 This isn't the lesson you are supposed to take. It will be lost to overfishing.
@@jarrodyuki7081 just uses a different conch but cook it the same way
@@jamesforbes2205 yes! And I’m sure there are other snails that taste literally the same
this content never disappoints me. Its not just about food but culture and even laws as a whole. love it.
Amen 🙏 ❤
I love how you show how diverse is mexican cuisine.
Mexico has an awesome cuisine.
When you're face to face to real Mexican food it kinda looks like fantasy food but it's not, it exactly tastes what it looks like
@@fifthybros8566 I'm Mexican.
Mexican cuisine is among the very few that are protected by UNESCO, as intangible culture heritage of humanity.
You should go and read why.
@@fifthybros8566keep crying harder saltine.
The sympathy lvl and fun in this mexican episodes is through the roof! Such a nice host and such lovely ppl there
You are always welcome to México my friend!
She wants him.
@@JeffWarren4747 not really, generally Mexican women are this inviting, people confuse this level of hospitality as flirting.
Its been a while since I watched this channel and its so great having you pop up in my feed again after awhile!
Totally forgot the quality content that this channel produces
Sonny you’re so amazing! I loved all the humans in this video. The people in Mexico really made this video feel like home ❤
I like how she didn't have a beer in hand when you said "cheers to that" and she acted like she had one LMAO
Lmao 😂
She’s lame AF
I just realize it...😂😂😂, that cute for some reason...
Hey if ya kept enough (let's say 20) large live Octopi and since a lost tentacle grows back fully in 4-5months, you could technically eat a tentacle from a different octopus, twice a week............ FOREVER!! 😳🤣
I did not care for Miss Thang's attitude this whole series. She and her attitude can go jump in the ocean. 😂
I loved how people straight up said 'no' that they can't cook it. Also how Sonny discouraged the transaction. This video somehow encourages other food vloggers to do their research more thoroughly.
To be faaaair... if I went to a market and some fish was on sale, I wouldn't research if any of the fish the market is selling is illegal for them to be selling. 😅 Especially since sea snails are eaten all over the world!
i wonder is the vendor is gonna get arrested
@@Veldrusara nor would I tbh. If it looks good and exciting and I know it tastes great I'd probably buy it as well. And no shade on the team for this. What I meant was their experience will probably be an eye opener and urge other food vloggers to be more careful so that they can dodge trouble in future.
@@lostwinter5637 so do I ಠᴥಠ.
No it doesn't
Kay is so amazing, brings the best out of Sonny. Love it .
First dish was mindblowing. Mexican food will always be one of my favorite cuisines in the world ❤️
I think Kay has been your best guide ever. Great chemistry, great character arc. I had a lot of fun with this series.
Calvin is my #1.. but yeah Kay has been great. Definitely a top 3.
@@Astrohhh she definitely beats Calvin. He tries too hard, reminds me of my friends in middle school with bad jokes. Kay comes off very natural.
@@Under-Kaoz lol you're trippin
@@Astrohhh nah haven't done LSD in forever. Calvin is cringe af.
@@Astrohhh Yep. True.
Almost all of his co-hosts are great, my personal top-3 would be:
1. Calvin, of course.
2. Shizuka from Japan series. She was incredible
3. Oro Padron from Cuba series.
You're living every foodies dream. & the balls on you trying all this new stuff bruh hats off
True 😂❤😢
Yeah true
The blooper reel at the end of these are the BEST. I love this food channel so much.
I love how his videos are full of vibrance and funny and learning as well. I love it how the mood of the videos are always cheerful 🥳😆😁
Have a lovely Sunday everyone!
Thank you sir
God bless you 🙏
And a blessed Sunday to you fam 😃
Nice one brother
Thanks
Yet another example of why Sonny (+ crew) are so amazing! This really IS the Best EVER Food Review Show, and watching it grow and prosper has been a real joy to witness. Great work, ya'all!
Watching this makes me want to go there and try all the seafood. Thank you for such amazing videos!
One of your more excellent episodes, because it has a message.
Also, it brought back such memories. About 30 years ago I ate in a small and insanely busy Mexican restaurant in NYC where I was just about the only gringo. What I got was an immense stack of tortilla with bean and salsa and fish... and also crab. Piled high. Hard to eat! It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Now I finally see a similar dish! Nice.
The chef that made the dish in the pineapple is amazing I’d love to learn a few things from him in the kitchen ❤
True 👍
That dish looked so amazing. Next level cooking.
same
Gracias se aprecia muchos sus comentarios
Con gusto les puedo compartir la receta saludos
Love Kay, I hope she comes back in the future!
Her personality is flat AF dude
I been watching this channel for a couple years now, there is not another food channel that’s comparable!
I always love your content and humor.. It never bores me 😊
I’ve been watching your videos for years, but this is actually one of my favorite episodes!❤️
There will never be another Sonny with these guts ever, respect 🔥👊
That guy that cooked the last meals cooks with so much care and love, he would make an awesome chef
Abraham looks like such an AMAZING PERSON to hang out with ❤🥺

How girls flirt:
“Let’s hope we die 🙂”
“What? Not both of us.”
“You die 🥰”
Everyone is scared of going to Mexico and this man is enjoying his time there
I guess we wouldn’t mind if we had a camera crew also…
Something tells me my experience in Mexico as a solo woman traveler would be different than his, his camera crews, and the co host that he paid who lives there and knows the area.
Relatively speaking, yucatan and campeche are safe to tourist. But too boring for my tastes.
With good reason. Going down there is an extreme risk that’s only worth what you think it’s worth. The only places I’d advise someone to go without too much caution would be the tourist areas
Sonny ROCKS. Especially because he's always in Mexico. I live in Minnesota now, it would be so awesome to meet him once!
I love watching sonny on sundays, sooo relaxing, and the sea food just makes this day better, I'm at home feeling like I'm outside. You just must take Calvin next time.
How calm and nice the people of Mexico are, then when ya enjoying all dah you remember all the stories of drug violence there and it’s no joke, kidnapping and the likes, scares me all of a sudden, I’ve always wanna visit Mexico buh from what’ve heard and seen on the internet, I’ll rather enjoy these videos instead. Thanks sonny 👏🏻
So respectful of my culture, I love it!
1:45 ... I had to listen to that a couple times to make sure I was hearing it right. A horse what?? 🤣🤣
Same
I loved her through the whole video. A vibe 👌🏾✨
Congratulations.....! for 100 lakh subscribers sonny and whole team.....!
I love you and the team! Keep up the great content!
You always get the best cohosts!!! And there is no this different from this episode!!! I’m in love with her and her open personality!!!🥰🥰🥰
Get a life 💀
Cohost was great. She was having fun and a great addition to the trip!
14:44 😂😂😂😂😂😂 invisible beer
What the heck Sonny?! I feel like this channel reads my brain. The videos are aleays the perfect length of time I have to watch something. Then they're always about something I was just thinking about or talking about. 😄
Love you sonny for the work you do for us
We are proud of our mexican food variation, Thank you from showing the world we are not only tacos in Mexico 🙏🏻🫡🇲🇽
Mexico is not known for its taco. Mexico is known for cartel and murderers. Most Americans go to Mexico don't come back alive. Fun fact
Knowledge is power most definitely, much respect for the insight, although I hope a ceviche was produced I would hate to see something precious go to waste.
I love Kay. We need more of her ❤
"She looks like a sad teenager and I look like a guy that lies to women and tells them I have a boat"
💀
Como Mexico no ay 2 ❤.. great video southern Mexico is full of tradition and beautiful beaches everyone is welcome
"Is it poisonous?" Sonny: "I hope so!" 😂 its the best!
Many kinds of fancy Seafood that I don't even know, the video is not only food, it's also an exciting adventure to discover new things in a new land, thanks❤

Sonny: Eating Horseconch is completely prohibited by law here in Mexico
Also Sonny: Let’s Eat it as probably Ceviche LMFAO 😂
Thanks for writing down the name, I thought he was talking about horse cum
After watching this Mexican series. I am now convinced that Mexican can not only cook they have damn good food. I wish Australia can get awesome Mexican food like this
I might move to Australia and start an authentic Mexican restaurant with my family
@@Imafoolforresponding if you are going to cook Authentic Mexican please do. We have plenty of Mexican restaurants in Australia BUT they all serve the same 'Western style Mexican" food.

K(Kay) is so amazing lol she was so sarcastic but with our Hispanic touch upfront natural with some complex of humbleness but not having it in a double standard conversation! Lol I mean you need to be Mexican to understand the the double standard! 😂 I LOVED THIS VIDEO YOUVE LEARN A NEW SUBSCRIBER SONNY🙌🙏💯

Love her “You die”, it just hit the spot
This show gets better and better l. Sonny and team, thanks for all you do to show us these fascinating delicacies
Mexico is just the best. Wonderful people and amazing food. Love the content.
idk about "the best" it definitely has great aspects about mexican culture, I'll give you that! But mexico is a borderline warzone, very unsafe.
Too bad a lot of white Americans fail to realize that.
4:19 "somehow I GET BY" savage.. never heard anyone say IM TAKEN like that lmaooo sonny certified GOAT i see u bro 🤣
11:16 he was doing his THING!! You can tell he cooks with such LOVE and passion. Good luck to him in his future, I can see him opening up his own business. It’s as if he’s working on PERFECTING them first. 👏🏽🙌🏽
"You talk a lot... like a lot" 😂
This guy is so funny💯, the jokes are on point 👌
Wow all these dishes look amazing.
thats some AUTHENTIC MEXICAN cooking wow 💓💓💓💓
Policia 😂 ayee she’ the best co host ever and I’ve been watching Sonny food vlog for some quite some time
Mexican food looks soo delicious and flavour full ❤
Sonny is definitely one of the best feel like I’m watching tv every time
This might be your yummiest episode yet! Fresh shark is hearty in flavor and texture without a heavy fishy smell. Got to love crab of all kinds, and I've enjoyed cephalopods every way I've tried it. My mom's Sicilian family used to have a technique to clean garden snails to serve as a one of the critters in cioppino.
sonny is the best story teller when it comes to food and history of every country he comes inn
Comes inn(?)
Abraham is one talented dude! The stuff he cooks looks amazing!
Try his ding dong. Its tastier

Been watching this show for years and still love it ❤❤
Kay was an awesome co-host and in my opinion one of the better ones Sonny has had.
Really liked the take away at the end. It would've been easy to take no responsibility for the snails but it was handled pretty well
Good Sunday everyone love u sonny
You are my inspiration to travel
Good Sunday morning to you too.☺️
I love sonny's dad jokes 😂
One of my favorite episodes 👍
I love the behind the scenes at the end of the video 😂😂
through the videos, I want to explore and experiences more about Mexican food, it's look really yummy, and the places I want to visit there too
Great video sonny your the best. The stacked tortillas with sauce are one style of so many styles of enchiladas. Throughout Mexico the enchiladas are made and presented in so many different ways and with different names too. Mexico is blessed to have very diverse food and drinks, very state in Mexico is like it’s own little country with their own traditions and cuisines. There is great seafood throughout Mexico but in my opinion the best quality of seafood is the seafood of sea of Cortes ( mar de Cortes) that’s the seafood of the states of Baja California( north and south) Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, why ? one example the shrimp there are massive and they taste like lobster and a lot of endemic seafood really delicious and seafood recipes unique only to these states. Every state in Mexico that has costs have amazing seafood too.
El pan de cazón cuenta como enchiladas!? Nunca lo hubiera pensado.
Is not enchiladas, is Pan de cazon. A totally different food :)
@@Carajuate there enchiladas, in every state in mexico they call them different names but there a style of enchiladas, it’s stacked tortillas with sauce not bread. In other states in mexico the enchiladas are stacked not folded just like the ones in this video.
@@irisfigueroa5249 Yeah i get it. But truly the name of that dish is pan de cazón (although is Made of tortillas, local people name that food pan de cazón and does not have anything to do with bread) I live in the península so i know it.
@@Carajuate I get it man I know that’s what the region calls it but it is a form of enchiladas, you can look up the many forms and styles of enchiladas that are prepared in Mexico there is so many styles even enchilada empanadas.
This show is a breath of fresh air.
The guys holding down the boat so you guys can eat on top of it 😮
Great Service!!
We have the same laws regarding stone crabs here in Florida. Harvest only one claw and it must be over a certain size
She makes the food that much more convincing. Yeah Mexico is on the bucket list.
The beer scene was the best!
