🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

It's getting to a point where Sonny's 'local delicacy' pedigree is becoming better than most locals
No, it isn't. This girl isn't "most locals". The locals are the ones serving the food and clearly eating it in the restraunts. Sonny's pedigree isn't better than a local. That just sounds foolish. Stop trying to jerk sonny off so much.
Sonny has eaten every possible animal and everything that is nearly edible. I think in the future episodes we will hear more and more sentences like:
"I have eaten blue whale and i have eaten peacock. And i have eaten them together in a taco ... but i have never eaten them together on a pizza."
@The Butcher easier said than done Mr butcher.
This comment made me chuckle. lol But your so right.
2:30 at this point, the local delicacy is way better than most locals...🤔
I'd say it's o' KAY😋
Kay's personality is like a kid eating vegetables. Fun watching younger guests try different delicacies. Always fun watching your vids. Stay Healthy, and have fun on your journeys. 🙏
It's not fun, it's infuriating. The guests are supposed to know something to teach Sonny (and us by extension). She knew nothing.
@@corvusprojects She was friends with the people he showcased on the show. Maybe she was his guide and translator. So at least we got to see what we got to see. Not everyone would just let a goofy American and his camera onto.their personal life and kitchen
@@WookieGolgberg after travelling across Mexico, I can guarantee you that Mexican people are kind enough to showcase their food and open up their homes to visitors.
@Corvus She's there to show him the city and places to eat, not teach you something. You're watching the wrong show. Also, he has a guide for the chemistry, banter and humour
If vomit is different delicacies for you. whatever
Love it when Sonny teaches the locals how to eat their own culture's food
Yeah!!! ajahahaihiauuia
is he teaching them "how" to eat it or encouraging them "to" eat it? Big difference.
@@JonathanKDeau both
Yea, but in all fairness, the young lady in this video seems like a “fresa,” which means that she is fancy or picky and far removed from indigenous culture. Actually locals would know about the food and consume it regularly. She doesn’t know anything.
🤣🤣🤣😍
I love this duo where she is isnt very experienced in cuisine but is local but sunny has tried nearly everything in existence
humans next
I do food reviews while I’m high on my CZcams channel, first mexican to hop on the tube & do This 🙇♂️
A fellow fan of the amateur category
That's not good..they should be more into it than him
@@TheMatheuscgc yeah!
I am torn while watching your videos. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and always wanted to travel the world, seeing the sights and eating the foods. Your channel allows me to do that, to an extent and I love it. On the other hand, a little over 8 years ago, and incident rendered me disabled. Not to the point of being bed ridden, it was my heart. So now when I watch these videos, I no longer have the thought in the back of my head that says "Maybe Someday" as there is no way to afford to do it now. So there's this middle ground of excitement and wonder and the other side is depression.
It wont stop me from watching though. Each and every video is amazing and informing. Also very fun to watch!
I understand you, I hope your doing well. I have a condition called costocondritus and I certainly understand depression , god bless all, 🙏 AMEN.
@@cohenmandysangalang6302 Same to you, be blessed in everything you do!
@@invalidcharacters8849 Yes, the depression is real and carries more weight than most people may understand. I hope you are blessed in your every venture and in life in general
I love how evolved sonnys palate has become. This dude can come to any village and be humble as ever to whatever is being served. Sonny and his team need a show like last year.
Brother ate a live fish, anything after that must be a breeze! Well, apart from the stomach bile. 😅
With how much Chile he eats, I think maybe his taste buds are dead so he can eat anything and be ok 😅
True ❤
I think he's more successful being a independent internet influencer bruh. Getting a show means his soul is being sold for a contract and he can't truly be himself
Man, the co-host pool is getting tough. So many great ones and she adds a really interesting dynamic not having experienced these foods but being totally down to try them. Look forward to the next episode
Can we please take a moment to appreciate how good Sonny's hair looks?? Looking good dude! Great video as always! Can't wait to see more!
Yeah it's crazy. Men don't have to accept being bald anymore. What a time to be alive
@@angryahole chill, it's not that serious
@@ximsbite it's life and death bro.
@@angryahole LMAOOO yeah sure 💀
The Mexico content is pretty litty ngl
I love her charismatic personality and the way she’s willing to try something she never had before.
Cow head is one of the best meeats you can ever eat, tongue is just out of this world ❤
If you've never had cow head before I'd recommend you try it
Wow ❤
The best. Here in South Africa we know what this means
Barbacoa
I'm Mexican and didn't know most of these dishes, so thank you!
True 😂
Pero los tacos de cabeza si verdad?? Ya de perdida 😂😂
Are you from Mexico?
yeah most central and northern parts are comercialized so most real indegnous people are in the mountain and oustkirts but southern mexico however you still find lots of people that dont have documents and some dont even speak fluent spanish. Its crazy to be mexican and know these people exist. Really sad actually. They cant get govermental assistance because like i said some dont even have documents. I visited chiapas years ago and there were some little girls selling rugs they translated for their grandmother because she did not speak fluent spanish. I was amazed by this kinda thing, had me on google for hours.
@@universalpowder1682 same with Guatemala lol Chiapas was actually part of it not long ago
I actually love how sometimes it's the local that needs a little push (even from the Nagaland episodes). I'm the same so it's quite relatable and funny, and it's always fun to watch someone who isn't very experienced, try something out of their comfort zone. I don't know, it feels even more authentic.
That's what Sonny's friend Andrew is for. The locals are supposed to actually know something about the area and the food. She knew nothing.
I agree ☝️
Yeah, it's not like a eat X challenge, it's a true culture shock and getting a genuine response it's truly welcome
@@corvusprojects sonny made her a tourist in her own country
@@corvusprojects why are you so pressed? Lmao go kick rocks son
That man in the background at the end with his shirt half off is my spirit animal.
Wishing Kay all the best in her passion and music career. Will def tune in to her music once she releases it. Much love from Kenya.
Thank you so much ❤🙏🏼
Because of him we are able to know about the different cultures and indigenous peoples that they are living on the different parts of the world. Thanks and Hats off to you Sonny Bro.
I loved being on this show so much! Thank you Sonny and BEFRS team🫶🏼 and thanks everyone for the kind comments 🥰 I hope you enjoy the rest of the series ❤

Stop making me have a crush on you lol 😭🤣
I just have one bone to pick with you lol, how have you not had some fo the most famous dishes Mexico has to offer while living in Mexico? 😅 anyways these episodes were super fun to watch you did great!

She's lovely and willing to try fan of her already. This gonna be a great series.
There's something special about discovering a CZcams channel that you really connect with.
She has an incredible voice! I absolutely love hearing that style of music sung by women
I don’t understand how he puts out such high quality content so frequently. Ever since I heard the Joe Rogan podcast, I’ve been hooked on this videos!❤
The east India episodes were enlightening. For sure
he has got a whole team working on planning every video where to go, where to eat.
He’s the best
I’ve been subbed to this guy since he had only a few hundred thousand subscribers. I’m so happy he blew up and even got to go on the JRE pod!
He has a crew
This makes me so happy that you tried merida. I'm not mexican but from the usa but I go to mexico city and merida very often because i'm addicted to the culture, people, and food.
True ❤
For some reason it seems like Merida is under rated. Probably the fact that people can be humble and shy, I don’t know 🤷🏻♂️
They are called Cabeza tacos and they are freaking delicious
I'm a 62 year old Soul food cooking and Mexican food eating FANATIC 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Never had the pleasure. So far tongue has been my favorite and I prepare it myself. Would also like to try brain tacos, they looked so good!
Wow her voice is absolutely beautiful. She gave me goosebumps.
My dad is Mexican and wants me to try cow tongue tacos and I’ve never been brave enough. After this I want to try it!
Sonny could go to Mexico over and over and millions would still watch.
Love her voice! Wanna hear her sing more of that performance they just did
Any idea what song she is Singing?
@kavish gulati no idea. I think its Mexican traditional music maybe? I know nothing about it. I'm from the other side of the world 🤣
@@nlocnil3602 That's my case as well😂

Kay's Super Adorbs! 🤣♥️🇵🇭
We appreciate how much content we’re getting these days. God bless them all.
She was fun, I liked her. Good for her on trying stuff she never had before, there's so many different cultures in that area, and some stretching back so far, shouldn't be too surprising that there's "local" stuff she's not had before.
she was so freaky HOT!!!
Merida is my favorite place in Mexico. Amazing people and food. I miss it so much.
love her voice!! viva mexico!
Thank you 🥰
I like this woman, she is talented and open-minded. Wife Material
Nah
I love the way those grills have a thick black seasoned layer on them. That is a flavor you can't get any other way.
The most inadequate companion on a food review show ever.
Agree, she said she likes cereal...what??
I love it. Good, bad, or ugly you never hated.
She has a very Shakira quality to her singing voice and a bright personality. Wonderful episode with a wonderful host and wonderful guide.
Let’s wait till she makes a record first
@@bptdre I was simply complimenting her singing
The man who cooked the tacos at the end was looking like “yeaaaa I did that”😂
Love all the work you do. I hope we get a behind the scenes video about how you booked Kay as a guest. She was fantastic!
I love how sunny doesn’t act like a tourist per se and is just himself. Makes the show feel more natural
Greetings from Philippines! The distant relative of Mexico... 😂😂😂
No, you guys are not relatives.
Kay was grouse! Loved her voice and how she presents. Have followed her. Thanks!
The bloopers are fun man. For sure watching to the last second.
I love it when sonny said 'I came to mexico and I met somebody and I'm like let me show you tacos' HAHA This is a fun episode with a twist that the co-host is new to most things and trying out the stuff.
Oooohhh! Tacos de cabeza! Bomb! Brings me back as a kid when we have a family party and my dad would buy 3 whole heads and make tacos along with other Mexican dishes. Damn I’m hungry now.😂
Her voice is beautiful 😍
That belly walking through the background in the outtro hahaha. Perfect timing.
sonny going full dad mode trying to convince her to eat a bigger piece the whole episode.
She was a good sport trying lots of different dishes👏
This literally is the greatest food show ever
The Taco possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
Just beautiful. Production values are off the charts. Kay was absolutely charming. Great stuff!

Just buy some probiotics from the pharmacy and drink it everyday. Works wonderfully for me every time I travel back to my home country Vietnam, which the food can be tough on my stomach as well.

Tapeworms
@@tpn1110 I do that every day just to handle American food, lol. That only works so well with greasy Mexican food. IBS is no fun. Even worse, the food that gives you the worst runs tends to be the most delicious and served where there aren't good restroom facilities.
To put it in context, I waited in line for an hour to try a dosa from the famous Dosa man in Washington Square Park in NYC. The dosa was amazing, but an hour later on the subway I got really bad runs and had to get off at Times Square and dash into a nearby Red Lobster to use their restroom, praying they wouldn't stop me for not being a customer.
I’m so proud of my roots! ❤Thank you Sunny for showing the world ❤
Beautiful voice baby, beautiful voice.
You'll be a star.

Loved the co-host's energy, goes well with Sonny's humor.
Great video Sonny, Kay was an absolute delight, and good on her for trying so many unfamiliar foods!
She sure tried to weasel out, but when pressed, she stepped up and tried the food. She seemed to approach it honestly, too. I'm impressed.
To everyone who sees this comment, keep pushing in life and never give up. Can't wait to see you successful one day and May God bless you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Man that morcilla taco looked delicious, I wish I could eat it.
i’m from El Paso, Texas and you can find pan francesito everywhere
wow I just love cow offcuts especially cow head its a South african favourite
I had to watch as soon as I saw cow's head. I've always wanted to try it. My favorite part of a pig roast is the head. The cheeks are the best. I love Reuben sandwiches made with a mixture of beef tongue and corned beef and I've had lingua tacos at food trucks in rural areas outside of Brandon, Fla. Everything in this video makes me want to visit the Yucatan just to hit the the street food venues. PS She's adorable.
u can easily find this in south texas. it’s called barbacoa here and served as breakfast
I’m happy to watch your videos man I just wish I could travel as much as you
Looovvedd this one . KAY IS EXTREMELY AWESOME
I love Kay!!! & she has a beautiful voice. 🥰 This was such a fun Episode to watch! I would try these dishes.
Those tacos looked bomb af. Chick was chill.
I love tacos❤❤❤
Nice vids
Living in Phoenix AZ I regularly order Tacos de Lengua and Tacos de Cabeza (even though it means head its specifically the cheek here) on a regular basis. Both taste like the softest most flavorful pot roast you've ever eaten.
There's a taco truck here in Alabama that has beef tongue tacos on the menu and it's my favorite thing to order. Absolutely delicious!
That cut of meat deserves more love here in the U.S.
@@shannondore so easy to make! Just takes a lot of time. Takes me around 6 hours for 2 tongues. Also if you ever get around to making them you have to eat it fresh. The texture gets funky when rehated.
👅👅👅👅👅
Same here, and same here! There is a good place on 83rd ave and Thunderbird does good Cabeza, mostly cheek meat but PILES of it. You can get it in taco, burrito, quesadilla, or nacho form
I love Merida, Cancun, and Huatulco. Their foods are destined and amazing.
This show is something I look forward to after a busy day. While watching just remember, no matter what you are going through, GOD LOVES YOU
