- Easy Templates For Stress Free Morning Work In Kindergarten and First-Grade
Building a stress free morning routine is easy when you use solid morning work activities. But what makes up a fantastic, stress free morning work activity?
Morning work activities need to be LEARNING activities that are independent, not too easy, not too hard, easy clean up and easy fast prep for the teacher.
I don’t know if you’ve ever used a learning template but they work crazy good during a morning routine. Teach your little kinders and firsties how to use it and you are good to go for days and days and days. All you have to do is take 10 seconds to prep the day's template and bam, you're ready for them to walk through the door.
Your students should be busy and learning those first minutes of the day so you can do the important work of connecting with students and building relationships.

Very cool! ❤️
I’m glad you liked it.
Oh I love this too! Teach it thoroughly and then they know what to do and how to do it! And it can be used the entire year.
Yep. It’s all about getting them independent and keeping them learning. 🙂
Very nice! I love that they can visit and even help each other out. Not only is the teacher developing relationships but the students too!
You are so right about them building relationships with others. It’s one of those things we forget to give them time and tools to develop.
Easy, fun, done! And relationships are sooooo crucial. Thank you! ❤️
You are so right. It’s the cornerstone to EVERYTHING.
You have helped me so much. This is my first year teaching kindergarten. I used to teach 4th grade for 25 years. It’s a totally different world in kindergarten! ❤
I am so so sooooo happy you are finding these videos helpful. I taught the older grades too. You are right. Kindergarten is a totally different world. 😀.

I wish I could download this!! Great idea!!!!
Did you have trouble downloading?
I love this. thank you so much I will be using this with my gr 1/2 class
I’m glad you found something to try in your classroom.
Thank you for your videos! Do you have any videos for older elementary teachers? Like 3rd grade?
While I taught third grade (and loved it) these videos are made with the k-1 teacher in mind. Sorry nothing specific for 3rd grade. I know a lot of middle school teachers like some of the classroom management videos.
The discrepancy of skills in my 1st grade class is too broad to do this.
Is it too easy or difficult? Let me know and I will come up with a differentiation for this activity. 👍
