My mom didn't raise me to be religious but she did raise me to have very similar messages that Rev Chris talks about. On a fundamental level. The way the Rev Chris teaches and talks about the message and not so much about how God wants you to do this and this and this but more about the place of you and how God can help guide you is rather interesting. Idk. I dont usually go seeking to hear about God but when I see Rev Chris is in a video, I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoy listening to what he has to teach.

I grew up in a convent school so i was always exposed to Christianity and one of the things that's reinforced in my brain everytime i watch Rev Chris talk is how serene and calm their idea of God is. It's peace, it's beauty. I could listen to him talk about God and his creation all day.

i agree with Rev Chris, sometimes as an adult we find it hard to pray or simply don’t know how to start praying. it’s actually really easy and we can learn a lot from the innocence and the honesty of the kids in this video. they just said whatever they feel and think in their prayer. they didn’t care much about the context, they just know that they’re communicating with God who understands, knows and in charge of everything.

I don't remember writing these sorts of prayers out, though I do recall my mother (very patiently) schooling us in the "Hail Mary" prayer.. as a child, my version went something like this: "Haail Morry! Full of Geese! The Lord is whips zee...blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the floops of thy womb.." and my older sisters would add "Holy Morry, mudder of Gott, pray for us scissors..." and Mom would say: "no no, not scissors.. sinners..." and their response would be "but mummy, are those sinners sharp?"

At my school, we had just finished Mass and our teacher wanted us to write down how we felt about it and any questions we had on a school app, I had just finished how I felt and went to another section to see what the questions were like, I started laughing because some of the questions were, “who was the man who led the Mass?”, “why is there a long pause before we begin singing the hymns?”, “is it a sin to leave church early?”, it was crazy.

Ollie really nailed it in the Stockholm Syndrome thing. It’s true that’s the way people approach God, and it’s terribly sad. Basically we see Him as one big narcissistic in the sky that’s judges us and cannot wait to punish us. In truth:
God doesn’t just love you, he LIKES you. You think being Christian is stripping yourself of everything that makes you, you? Wrong! He likes your personality and He likes you and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Don’t believe the religious people who say we are worthless or scum of the earth, that’s stupid. God wants to be so close to us, he sent Jesus and now He isn’t just AROUND us, but IN us (John 14:20).
Christianity has nothing to do with rules or self hate, that’s what the religious people have turned it into. Do you know the people Jesus was distressed at were the RELIGIOUS people who “followed” the Bible? They followed all the rules, so why was Jesus angry? (Called the Pharisees) because following rules has nothing to do with God, it’s a line that we as humans draw around us and it’s disgusting to see how it’s wrecking peoples lives.
The view we have of Christianity today is so sad. Just remember:
True Christianity is a relationship. Religion is a practice. Not the same.

Knowing Jesus is the best thing ever. I felt joy in my heart and spirit whenever Rev Chris explains the things of God. My family went through separation when I was a teenager, and I had to spend most time alone at home because my mom had to travel far for work. I didn't know God back then. I carried the suffering with me into my adulthood. The entire time God was knocking but for me He was just another religion like any other. I received Christ only 10 years after God's first knocking. I never understand why God is so good and was so patient with me. Recently I realized God is faithful to fulfill His promises. One of them being, 'I will be a Father to the fatherless and a protector of the widows'. I just love the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Seek the Lord while He may be found.

Nobody should ever live their life without peace, or full of strive. I am a living testimony that God is good. If you have a problem with that, you need healing. And yes, Jesus can help you. It is still up to you to receive that help or not. God give us free will, He does not force Himself on mankind. If you want Jesus in your life, just pray, and find a real Christian to guide you through it and find a good church or community. Also remember, Christian are still human, we aren't perfect.

Like you can journal or something, but prayer is probably easier in ways where you feel like you are talking to someone. I also think it probably gives hope and helps people focus on the future and their dreams and wants. Like with meditation or journaling, you will feel more connected with yourself and more at peace when you pray.

I had a bad day, and I found out there is a priest from my generation who shares my birthday.
I am from Kolkata, India. My parents, are what you can call a pantheist. That is, they brought me up in an environment, where we respect all the cultural and religious practices. My dad was a devout spiritual person. Indian religious practices are complected. We have a lot of ancient practices. We just keep adding to them with evolving times. Especially, the part of India I am from. As a result Christmas is a HUGE festive season here. I remember watching Bible stories with parents on Christmas Eve. Which, also happens to be my Birthday ❤️. I really like Adrian's Tiktoks. Especially the Bible stories. I think that's how I ended up here. People who become priests, at least the ones I met, I have noticed, they all have a very calm and positive presence and way of talking. I find the same in Rev. Chris. We also share the same birthday. Yes. Christmas baby here. I do think, God has a plan or something. My mom is literally listening to a song now with lyrics that goes, " Oh Lord, please lift this veil of darkness and reveal to me the kingdom of Light ❤️".
My dad passed away last year. Right now, I am in a really bad place. And finding you guys with all these coincidences really made my heart full for today.
