My take on H&M: great pity that M couldn't live up to her royal duty (her royal commission) that she self imposed on herself when getting into this relationship and subsequent marriage. M's expectations of what royalty was going to be (all granduer) did not meet reality (having to fit into the rank & file & servitude). From a young age & onward, M appears to be a woman who wanted granduer for herself at all cost to herself & others. Once a royal, she became dissatisfied w/her status, her place, in the royal family (i.e. not being first & most prominent) as she sees herself pursuing great things w/no strings attached (perhaps having grand, worldly role models of great and prominent leaders & wanting to achieve same for herself). M's vision & the UK's reality didn't mix. M is now on to "Plan B" and H is being strung along. As I said in the beginning, it's sad M has taken this route & couldn't live up to her royal marital duty. I'm sure the Queen, concerned for both H&M, discussed w/M beforehand that royal life (a life of servitude) is not for all & wanted to make sure M was aware of the kind of life this entailed & if M could handle. M is no Queen Elizabeth (ever watch the Queen's inauguration? She pledged a life of servitude to her country). M is no Grace Kelly. And furthermore, M is no Diana, the "people's princess", far from it. Duchess Kate stands out as an excellent example for today's modern women & an example of a future queen. Strong, confident, intuitive, smart. As these women learned, M needs to learn that, as a royal, respect is earned when one lives up to their own vows and obligations rather than living up to one's own desires and ambitions. M needs to learn this isn't about one person -- herself -- but about the roles each play in a monarchy. M failed in her royal commission by resigning and has now taken Prince H & baby Archie with her. Only time will tell how this unfolds for the monarchy.
Wow, really. Might I remind the public that Harry was the Spare. You are attributing attributes to Harry he never needed to aspire to. You are correct in the attributes of serving and lifelong service but wrong in the person and persons responsible. That is left to Heirs. The Queen has 3. Please look at history. Harry and his wife chose to support his family and still do. They do not have the obligation to work for the family. That is a choice. There is a huge difference. Loving family does not mean you give your life for them. If that is your choice, great. Obviously you need to go back and watch their engagement interview. Prince Harry, your wife is NOTHING LIKE DIANA! if you think you will be exempt from press scrutiny by leaving the royal family and moving to Canada/US, you're in for an eye opening experience. The Canadian press to a lesser degree but the US to a major degree will hound both of you, especially since organizations you speak for will want big press coverage - some of which will not be endearing for either of you and add stress to your lives and marriage.
Things in Britain were watchful by press and very intrusive and misunderstood at times - I get that; however, Britain, at least offered round the clock protection for yourself, Meghan & little Archie!
I don't believe you have truly grieved your mother's loss...I know I haven't and I wasn't even her son; however, I admired her from 1980 until she died.. Don't depart from those who love you! Stay and carry on with royal duties. Who better to teach Meghan royal life, protocol and the workings of The Firm, than you! It may give yourself and William a chance to heal the rift. You're a son of The Commonwealth, not a product to be sold to the USA!
Think of your grandmother who has dedicated her whole life to service for the crown & Commonwealth. I do believe you are gun-shy by the press but you are stronger than that and there are people in Britain (security, therapists, family, friends, military colleagues) whom you have served with (well done by the way) who can help you with this stressful time.
I just believe, at some point, if you exit the royal family and try to forge it on your own....eventually you will become conflicted, disillusioned with money, fame and pressured even worse by the press.
The stress of leaving the realm and going it on your own could affect everything you hold dear, including your family bonds with your father, brother, grandmother. After all QE II R. has done for The Commonwealth and protecting you following your mother's death, don't you feel she deserves to have her grandson close by, especially in her declining years?
Cherish the time now, that you have with her and your grandfather. I'm sure, when they are gone, you won't want to hear the news from a beach house in Malibu and regret giving up on her in turn for fame, fortune and regrets.
Just think about these things before you pull out over the 12 month trial period..
Remember, within the course of three months, H.M. has lost not only yourself, Meghan & Archie but also the breakdown in the marriages of Peter and Autumn, Prince Andrew's woes and The Earl & Countess of Snowdon marriage breakdown - four more people in which she held in high regard! Do you truly want to add to this woman's heartache. - be the champ and take the high road. Your father and grandmother and brother need you now, more than ever. Peace to you Harry! ❤️
