90% of the time when I hear a 'clunk' it turns out to be a loose sway bar link. They're my arch-nemesis at this point.
2021 gladiator, at 13k miles had to get my cam shaft replaced and the lifter springs, then at 20k had to get my cam shaft replaced again and my bank 1 cam shaft sensor.. now it looses power on the smallest hill on the highway, can't get above 65mph, manual transmission, from 4th up to 6th, pedal to the floor won't get above 65mph (4th 65mph, 5th 55mph and 6th 40mph)... not so happy.
Oh ya.... I was in the exact same boat. Luckily my ecodiesel has treated me well so far
What I’d like to know is in the beginning of video 30 second in when you start to take off that rattle is distinct rattle I have this in mine and I’ve been trying to show dealership mine is a six speed But if anyone or yourself knows and I’m sure your friend there who helps you knows please inform me ? The dealer is going to replace a coupler in front axle to see if that’s it if it’s spinning loose inside it’s the same clack noise like I say at 30 seconds in on any load of acceleration
I'm sorry I saw this message so late. I am not sure what thst noise was I just assumed it was normal. Mine has always done it.
Its a normal sound. Its the flywheel, they built in movement rotationally slightly to try and mitigate harsh shift. Just ends up making a bunch if noise in my opinion

Took us a while to figure it out as well, kept getting worse.... Easy fix!
Looks like I'll have to catch this one tomorrow. Family up so I won't be able to watch tonight. But I'll definitely watch it after work tomorrow or perhaps before work at 3am . anyway looking forward to seeing what you have for us.

Mine did that I had to weld it back man. I have a diesel 21’ gladiator. I still say disconnect all sway off roading
Metalcloack makes a bracket now to fix the problem. Very reasonably priced. Lol for sure. Get that rear flex!
i heard the same noise on mine, thought it was gear as well... turns out a bump stop between the springs had come off and was just being held together by a bolt, the nut holding in place had come off...
That was a close one....

safe to assume that this is a vulnerbility after upgrading a gladiator ? - is there an aftermarket solution to remedy this for upgraded rigs ? Please and thank you.
I believe evo manufacturing makes an upgraded bracket. At the time of this video I hadn't heard about not sure if it came out after. I did a quick google search just now for you and it does look like they have a product that will work. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Every vehicle has its issues. Like getting 35 inch tires on a Tacoma for example. Lol but I know what you mean. I've seen some great Tacoma builds in the BC Overlanders. One even has 35s on it 😍
That really should be a double shear mount with the weight of an outfitted Gladiator.

Please note my comment below this That rattle before it stalls mine does this exact same thing and I need to get this resolved it’s been getting more pronounced and I can get it to do this rattle for almost 30 seconds or so but it’s in most gear shifts right after I start to accelerate on load

No no rattle is normal they are going to replace a coupler in front axle but I’m not convinced it’s that but I am going to try and get the fox thanks for sharing your fix on the bracket mine seems in tact so far
What is causing it to happen? Is it a recall issue or something Jeep needs to work on?
i think between the lift, the height of the weight (bed rack and rtt), puts too much pressure on those really thin brackets. Also have to remember, we really use our rigs... If there's a weak link, we will find it... most people will not have this problem. BUT if you wheel hard, definitely upgrade this.

I have seen this happen on a couple of Gladiators, even with no loads and just pure desert driving. More on lifted gladiators above 2"s or with longer links supplied with lift kits.
I think this needs a better brace support bracket or like what you did.
When The Story Till Now did it, it was on the trail and pulled his brake lines. Hopefully the cases you heard didn't have horrible outcomes.
Metalcloak makes a bolt on braket . It's beefy and so far it works great along with my hilwig swaybar

wow that is deep thinking, that someone brake something that will leak to creak. I meant really diff transmission may have 2 qtr , the engine oil pa has protection. It's kind bias assumption from hatchery people.
I got 99 problem but a piece of shit Jeep ain't one , if you having mall crawling problems I feel bad for you son .
