Thank you a ton for posting this video. Been stressing over this same problem and rationing my miles for 3 days now. Changed both sensors and ran the regen and bay test and everything is kosher now 😅

Gm has made an engine that destroys more emissions than it produces. Well done.

DEF has shelf life. All the diesels today do NOT let you drain the tank and refill with fresh. Stupid move diesel world.

I own one of these trucks, I was also a diesel mechanic for a internationally known engine manufacturer. It’s my opinion that your not familiar
enough with what the emissions system is trying to achieve, or how it goes about it. Yes it’s a pain in the ass when you have to spend money
on something, but that aside, the system as designed is prompting you to deal with a malfunction in a timely manner, as it goes into a series of
self protection “ limp “ modes. It’s the old saying, fix the problem, not the symptom.

If you watch the video, I diagnosed it as a bad NOX sensor, by checking it in multiple ways. Pretty straight forward. Nothing complicated about the emissions system on this truck.

My 2019 ZR2 2.8l keeps getting code P026D. NOX sensor is the suggested fix. I have never let it get to the point where it warns that LIMP mode is about to happen. I have been taking the truck to the dealership for over a year at this point! The truck has physically been in the shop for 225 days! They have replaced the NOX sensors 9 times, MAP sensor 3 times, 2 EGR valves, replaced all fuel injectors, replaced the turbo, replaced the entire intake because it was totally gummed up. GM doesn't know how to fix it or is not willing to fix it. I cant speak about any legal action I may or may not have taken, but at this point I really want my truck fixed. Any ideas that does not result in massive weight reduction?

P11DB code and I have replaced Both Bank 1 and 2 and reset the code. It stays off pretty much for a long while Until I sit and Idle for 10 minutes. I have not disconnected the battery yet (does it have a cmos reset). Chevy replaced the 1st bank and I replaced the 2nd. smh. ZR2 2018 2.8 55K miles

I have a 2022 z71 duramax and I think I might be having the same issue. My dash says just “DEF exhaust quality poor, see owners manual and it’s really vague”. It came up once and this is the first time. I love been looking into it and I don’t want to get stranded. And recommendations? I have 12k miles :/

I was down to 5 mph limit on 2017 LWN ZR2 with "Exhaust Fluid Quality Poor" message.
Scanned it, nox sensor 1 showed bad so replaced it.
Drove 5 miles to warm up.
Parked, did regen and it went up to 2,500 rpm for about half an hour. FYI sounds like a tree grinder running. Kinda loud.
Cleared code and did efficiency test which took about another twenty minutes.
Test passed and and emediatly "Exhaust Fluid Quality Poor" and DEF light went off. It's all back to normal now. Borrowed a Snap-On diagnostic tool.

Just happened to me. Stuck on the side of the road with 4 mph limit until i found a video saying to disconnect the speed sensor from the transfer case. Took 2 min and i was up and running. At first start you need to shift from drive to neutral then back to drive or you won't leave 1st gear. I was able to go about 55mph and was able to make it home.

@Germain Gonzaiz >>> You know theirs a allowed bypass of the DEF systems in many trucks that use DEF peterbuilt for one !
So I think this guy with his GM product (chevy) needs to remove & install a bypass with a reprogramming from experienced tech, it worth their money in gold. I've done it over here & I'm not in the USA for ease of mind from this not happening. Yes it's a bit of a no-no but I passed a few MOT's without a issue.

I run diesel ambulances and they are not all like that. Def diesels suck. It doesn’t limit your speed but the exhaust smells something awful.
