It amazes me when kids who get drafted into the NHL from Sweden, Russia, Finland who all speak different languages from other countries come to the United States or Canada to play and they speak English so fluently? What the fuck lol If I went to Sweden or Finland and played a sport for 82 games a season my first year I'd pick up a bit of their language and a few words here and there but definitely not full sentences

Same with Jacob Chychrun, he was born in Florida but has lived in Canada his whole life so he's a dual citizen, and when it comes to International tourney's I believe if you have dual citizenship it's your choice which team you wanna play for.

Kapanen wasn't drafted by the Leafs but traded there by the Pittsburgh Penguins for Phil Kessel.
