    For the amount of money they cost it would be nice if when you SnowCheck your sled you could pick what torsion springs you want and it would behoove Polaris because of customer satisfaction. Of course they care more about selling you more stuff on top of the already expensive sled. Great video as usual!

    Wondering what the reason is for the torsion spring being quite a bit larger then the bushing it fits over. Hygear has larger bushings to take up the slack, but stock all sleds come with that larger gap.

    • @JESSEJAMES322

    As a younger rider I've always found it difficult to get my suspensions to hold me up and not bottom out. It's like a bit of a dark art or there was never components available to do so. Admittedly I'm not a professional or semi-professional but I know when I it's not right. I just got a Viper XTX with an uncoupled rear suspension and I'm now 265 lbs in my birthday suit. I've got the heavier Bill Moer spring but I'm having to Dalton up way more than recommended just to keep from bottoming out. I've got the rare Fox float at 150 psi because that's as high as my pump will go.

    Jesse, I'm 250 plus gear on, a full full linq gas caddy, plus medium linq bag, so maybe around 310+, my 22 VR1 does have the HD springs in them now. I hate bottoming out, I tried to ride this week on the middle torsion but it was slapping my tunnel at just about any speed. On the high torsion setting it's much better, I have my rear shock at 4th click from fully closed. Am I too light of a spring? Can I just have the rear shock rebuilt or do i need to have both skid shocks done?

    • @JESSEJAMES322
      @JESSEJAMES322  Před rokem

      so i personally thinj you are still under sprung for that weight. you would be a candidate for XHD or the Trap springs. If you were to get the rear shock valved its easy enough to take the FTS out and have taht done also. Not to mention i would recommend 100 pound ski springs. these are all things the boys at Southside can help you with

    These 7045924-239 (Left Hand) and 7045925-329 (Right Hand) torsion springs are the stock spring on MY23 Indy Adventure X2 137 sleds equipped with the 650 or Prostar S4 engines. As pointed out here, these springs have a somewhat trapezoidal (flattened oval) cross-section and have a spring RATE of 14.4 lb. per degree of leg rotation. They are listed as having 86 degrees of PRELOAD, cost is $105 US each, but they are not available from the Polaris warehouse at this time.
    The IGX 146 suspension used on the Matryx Switchback Assault or Switchback SP/XC and NordicPro, SKS and Voyager 146 comes with Standard weight torsion springs, Light Duty and Heavy Duty are available, as you can see on the Rear Torque Arm Parts diagram. Many riders have changed the Matryx Assault sleds to the Light Duty torsion springs because the stock springs were too stiff. The Assault torsion springs are not interchangeable with torsion springs for the PRO-CC coupled suspension used on the 128/129 and 136/137 VR1, XC, XCR and Matryx 137 Adventure sleds.
    MY23 Polaris Titan sleds use: 7044813-329 LH, 7044814-329 RH SPRING-TORS TRAP 14.4/72 Notice that they have the same Spring RATE of 14.4 lb. per degree of leg rotation, but only 72 degrees of PRELOAD.

      we have found their chart is very very far off. not sure why but it is. and yes thats what you need in that rear shock especially. we do not really use the sag numbers. we have found that even if sag is right the rider may not like the ride or the sled still may not handle as it should so we stray away from them

      SOrry im just seeing this. They come with standard Suty rear torsion springs. You will want to go the HD ones. below is the link to Polaris website but i would suggest calling SouthSIde Sales and purchasing from them. When you call tell them we spoke and that you want the HD torsion springs for a 137.

    CAN U PLEASE ITEMIZE THE PARTS NEEDED WITH PART NUMBERS ,TO REVALVE THE VR1 2023 REAR SHOCK WHEN UPGRADING TO THE XCR STANDARD HD REAR SPRINGS? BEING THAT IM IN CANADA I NEED TO GET MY SHOCKS REVALVED LOCALLY AND WOULD BE SO MUCH EASIER TO JUST TELL THEM WHAT I NEED

      unfortunately that is not an option. We have people send shocks in from Canada all the time. Put them in a box and ship them right out!
