Manuel María Ponce Cuéllar was a Mexican composer active in the 20th century. His work as a composer, music educator and scholar of Mexican music connected the concert scene with a mostly forgotten tradition of popular song and Mexican folklore. Many of his compositions are strongly influenced by the harmonies and form of traditional songs.

Manuel Ponce was my great great uncle, l'm carrying on his music in my family and play it to my grandma, she loves his music, fun fact, he has a museum in Mexico with all of his music, what he wore, and his piano, it's like a mini layout of his house in a certain section, you should check it out if you have the chance.

No way! That's exciting! I'm sure your grandma loves Ponce's music. I do share her passion for this composer. Actually, when I was a kid, I liked that my second name initial was M, just like him, Manuel M Ponce... Hector M Salcedo LOL... it was funny at that age.
