I consider Estralita, melody and lyrics as the most heart-rendering, romantic music piece of all time. Thank you so much Ailyn - your performance does justice to this work in every way.
Manuel M Ponce', "Estrellita," one of the most beautiful romantic ballads composed. Eilyn Perez one of the leading sopranos on the music circuit, gave a very excellent performance. However, she is not in the same musical league as the incomparable Deanna Durbin. Estrellita conclusively belongs to Deanna Durbin. Golden words of high 'C' texture by Peter E. Farrar.

Interersting arrangement. The pianist was playing "So Many Stars" and then went into "Estrellita". Memories of when my ex used to play this song on his classical guitar.
Wondering if anyone else had caught the snippet of the Sérgio Mendes, Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman song, So Many Stars, I was specifically looking for this comment. My absolute favorite recording of So Many Stars is by the late, Ludar. The accompanist’s intro evokes the Ludar version of the song. Exquisite.

Peter Farrar:- Manuel M Ponce' composed one of the most beautiful romantic ballads, "Estrellita." Ailyn Perez(needs to loose weight) soprano, gave a reasonable performance. However, her high 'C' at max volume was questionable. To be realestic, she is not in the same musical league as super sopranos Deanna Durbin or Kathryn Grayson, or Lily Ponds. Why is the voice is so heavy though.
A version sung in English would be cool, how about in more languages like German, French, Italian, or another one of my favorites Russian.
