- The honking of horns has stopped, thanks to a court injunction, but there are no signs that Freedom Convoy supporters have any plans to leave. Despite rumours the convoy intended to move on to Toronto, supporters and vehicles remain on the Hill.
Being MANDATED to receive something that is legally exempt from liability is absurd!

It is but the problem is the Canadian constitution isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. The government can violate almost any part of it, including the fundamental freedoms if they decide they have reasonable cause to do so. And by the time the Supreme Court deems that it wasn’t reasonable and therefore is unconstitutional, they will have already accomplished their goals.

From this Canadian who has lived in and adjacent to The City of Ottawa since 1965, I can tell you that the city is not, repeat NOT shut down.
Ottawa is a large small city of 1 million citizens and stretches across the south side of the Ottawa River from Orleans, to the east and Kanata to the west.
The Freedom Convoy 2022 trucks are stretched across the face of Wellington Street (at the National Archives) and onto Rideau Street. There are trucks and other vehicles parked along roads a couple of blocks south of Wellington and north of Rideau. The truckers and their organizers have complied with all city and policing requests to ensure lanes and access is maintained for emergency services and the truckers actively clear snow off roads and side walks not to mention collect debris and garbage from the site.
The truth be told, the city has erected Jersey barriers in many places and actually used heavy equipment (road graders) to blockade roads and intersection in the demonstration areas.
It is safe to say over 98% of the City of Ottawa is functioning normally.
The demonstration has NEVER posed a threat to the citizens of Ottawa unlike what the MSM and local politicians, not to mention our PM would have you believe.
The protest is now likely to be assaulted by the heavy hand of the RCMP. Trudeau's 'goon squads' will likely move in under cover of darkness and process the detainees at Lansdown Park on Bank Street just north of the Rideau Canal.
The vile, malicious hateful rhetoric emanating from Ottawa's civic 'leaders' is beyond the pale and Mayor Jim Watson's declaration of a 'State of Emergency' is at best a fine example of manufacturing a dialogue to facilitate the 'goon squads'.
I suspect the city council is actually upset that the protest may interfere with 'Winterlude'.
Little do they know the truckers would likely have made the mid winter festival a calling card to make it one of the most memorable events this city has ever had.
I'm sure if some mask wearing people parked outside your house and started honking their horns you would be thrilled that they were protesting their rights for wearing masks and feel exactly the same way you do now. They had to pass a law to make them stop honking and to think of others.

To the Canadian govt.: I know this sounds like a crazy idea, but. rather than trying to plan moves to break up the convoy by force, why not remove vax mandates, mask mandates, and Covid restrictions? Then, the truckers will leave. The Convoy objectives are winning in Alberta and Saskatchewan, AND, in the USA, believe it or not (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts. and more), where Mandates are being abolished.
The politicians won’t even be seen next to the trucker leaders because they know the world would then see what real leaders look like compared with phonies.

Apparently, the police returned tainted fuel back to the truckers after the judge ordered them to return it. that should be looked into. Isn't that something dangerous to do? I am pretty sure if you destroyed a 200k truck, it would not go well in the court system. Imagine doing it to 100s? imagine if there was catastrophic engine failure on a highway because of these actions? I hope it was just a few bad eggs in the police department and not a planned move (if the story is true).
What do you think one of the trucks with a whole family sleeping in it and the engine stalls in the middle of the night, they might freeze to death.

In each province the Health Minister should meet with the rally organizers, listen to their suggestions, arrange tutorials and
meetings to discuss/debate the biology and strategy pertaining to this virus. As long as disruptive behavior at the meetings is quelled, even our American neighbors, who came here to protest, might learn something. It would seem that anyone serious about developing a strategy to fight this virus should have a background in biology, biochemistry, and medicine. After what has unfolded in 2020 I no longer see crypto as speculation. More as an inevitability. Even if it takes 10years to get to $100k that would mean the average rate of return with a daily $100 over a year is 100%, what asset class out there today offers that kind of opportunity?

If mandates are so imperative, then why are thousands of truckers in Ottowa (unvaxxed, high risk, older, many smokers under physical duress from cold) in close contact for 12 days with highly transmissible omicron circulating--why are they not being admitted to hospitals?
The only people I know who haven’t caught covid yet are unvaccinated and every single person I know who is vaccinated has had covid.

As for Russia, it's a regional power that really only hold power over energy and particularly gas in Europe. Yet it has never abused it.
However USA seems intent on provoking conflict in or to save his flailing presidency.
We should not rely on the USA as much, but we do. USA defends Canada because it has interests in Canada and wants to keep our border and country free and friendly.
As such, Canada should focus on Arctic presence and resources. Expand our infrastructure north. This would also help fund local people, far too long neglected, paying fourteen dollars for a head of lettuce.
@@KaiserS0ZE Iceberg lettuce cost $2.99 at No Frills. They should lower the grocery prices of meat, vegetables, fruits, etc… to 1980s levels to keep it more affordable to families.

Here’s the piece of the puzzle most outsiders need to understand. We the truckers have been the backbone of the economy since the lockdowns started. We never stopped working deliveries were made, construction industry was feed the materials that was needed. Garbage services were never stopped and everything else moved by truck kept on rolling. We didn’t create the supply chain failure we kept it moving !!! Now 2 plus years later we are being used as the “patsy” to the mess and we are not going to be bullied around by a bunch of clueless politicians that are looking for a scape goat in this mess. Keep on fighting Canada and everyone else who are fighting for their own FREEDOMS !!!
These 400 truckers are a small minority of the amazing Canadian truckers. 99% of the truckers still working do not support the blockades as their livelihoods are being effected by sitting in traffic for hours waiting to get across the borders. In addition, the majority of Canada does not support the blockades. We’re all fed up with the restrictions but this is not the way we should handle our grievances by making others suffer.
