- A look at the Harmonic Major scale... one of the four main families of scales which has been less used by composers through history.
A Comprehensive Guide to the Heptatonic Scale is a reference PDF document which serves as an invaluable tool for musicians of all levels. It contains a list of all 7-note scale possibilities spanning one octave, accompanied by a condensed overview on a single page. It’s an ideal document to print and keep on standby for easy reference during practice and composition sessions.
The Scale Almanac Excel file (also provided as a PDF) contains the full list of all musical scales over the octave starting from C (3-note to 10-note) with a tab for each grouping.
You can purchase the PDF/XLS package for only $9 exclusively at the following link:

Hello, Antoine, Jewel:❤
Great Talent Guitar 🎸 Antoine 👏👍👋
Loved your points at the end. So true about music and needing to hear the music again and again, unlike movies where it is usual to not want or need to watch multiple times. The best music for me is the music that is so dense, rich, complex, nuanced, etc. that you can find elements in it after 100 listens that you missed the first 99 listens. Music feels like a greater shared experience in the story and meaning of the art that the composer creates. Movies can be wonderful, of course, but they don't have the same level of addiction and interaction, usually. Most people haven't watched their favorite movies over 10 times, but have heard their favorite songs hundreds of times and like them better after 100 listens than after the 1st through 5th listen.
I'm glad that you like the comments towards the end... I went away from the Harmonic Major but as this was a freeform video, it seemed right to me to talk about that fact that what sounds weird/unusual/unexpected after a first listen becomes more and more enjoyable after a few listens. "Addiction" is actually a good term... and I suppose it's a heathy one when it concerns music! Thanks again for your comment!
GREAT CONCEPT JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL BUT HAVE BEEN ENJOYING YOUR MUSIC FOR SOME YEARS NOW!
Awesome, thank you!🙏👍

Excellente approche pour comprendre et entendre le Harmonic Major
Merci Stef!!
Great video and absolutely lovely piece of music at the end. Throughout your music I feel like you really treat a chord progression like it should be treated: points of emotional interest and curiosity. Really great as always, feels good to know I live in a world where you keep on creating new music.
Thank you so much!!! 🙏🙏
Love it!!
🙏🙏
Awaiting some new music from you my friend. Hope all is well
Thanks Peter... Not long before new music! 😁

@@peterdelaney7061 Thanks for the offer!! 😁
Très intéressant!!

Very interesting, almost weirdly dissonant, but resolves well. What are the key changes? Merci cousin!
Hey Marc it's nice to be in touch again!! I thought I recognised the name!! 😁
To answer your question:
Section A goes between E Harmonic Major and B Melodic Minor (G on bass so its 6th mode)
Section B: G Lydian and B Aeolian (both related to each other)
@@antoinefafard Fantastic stuff, beautiful harmony - I am a big fan of your work!
