    Ok i know this video was made a long time ago but I'm one that i would say is uncomfortable with wiring...that being said i do have a pair of these headlights coming in next week. I'm most confused on how the 40A relay and fuse gets wired in?? Thank you for the video. Still the best one out there for people doing this conversation

    That looks so rad. This gen of Legacy is so underrated. Just picked up a really clean 03 Legacy L with only 80k miles. Definitely going to be putting some work into it and upgrading some things. Glad I found this channel, I'm sure I will be watching plenty of your videos.

    Both my headlights on my 2013 outback took a crap on me the other day. It's a wiring issue. One of the pins that the relay plugs into is dead. I have a hunch it's the module under the steering column that the harness plugs into but there are so many connections down there, I'm not sure which one it is. Looked all over the internet and I'm coming up empty. Any suggestions?

  • @vincentbaelde-millar670
    @vincentbaelde-millar670 Před 4 lety +1

    Hey I'm a bit late to the party, but I'd just like to ask, is there a particular reason why you added the separate 12V cable coming off the battery with a 30A fuse, rather than just using the 12V from the OEM harness? The HID conversion uses 35W bulbs whereas my filament bulbs were 55W. Even with the power loss in the HID driver I still would have thought it would draw less current than the stock headlight.

    Hello Mr Subaru II have a 2002 VDC and had been looking at some JDM lights. Is the output much better than new clear set of stock with silverstar bulbs. • @MrSubaru1387
      @MrSubaru1387  Před 6 lety +3

      The HID JDM headlights are night and day different in terms of light output. Definitely worth the upgrade. 4th gen side mirrors on a 3rd gen, can't say that they will or won't fit. I'd guess they don't. Seats, just about every Subaru seat shares the same mounting brackets. I have 2005 STi seats in my 95 Legacy L. I have 2004 Outback leather seats in my 1998 Legacy GT.

Rest in europe(lights are turn on right side of the road) had only regular bulbs without xhennon and ballasts (this type i have) .My plan is take ballast from UK version ,and put to "Rest EU version without ballast" (under is empty space ,prepare for ballast) . Question is: is this gonna be usefull? i wanna change lightnig direction from left to right with this solution . Is this will works?

    • @vincentbaelde-millar670
      @vincentbaelde-millar670 Před 4 lety +1

      The short answer is no. The long answer is that the HID bulbs have different mounting holes, so you'd need to do a huge amount of work to make the HID bulbs fit in the filament bulb housing even if you added the drivers.
