You have no idea how much i needed this video. I'm a new lash artist and since i came back to lashing after covid my retention is terrible. I'm going to try everything, i love the way you explain things by the way. You have a new suscriber ❤️
Thanks so much for commenting! I’m so happy I could help! We’re you able to try any of the tips? And did they work? And let me know if you have any questions at all! 🥰🥰
Great video. Very helpful! Bc I was about to leave my lash lady Bc she charged me an extra $30 Bc I had too much of a fallout on my 2 week fill. But now I know I’ve been using oils on my face, working out right after I get my lashes done and I don’t comb them when they are wet and I use a towel to dry my face. 🥴 so imma do better this time
Ive been doing lashes for a lash company for 2 years and just started my own salon but ive been having retention issues really bad...I shake my glue, got the shaker, i use glue rings, i have a humidifier and keep it at the perfect humidity and temp. I clean, prime and even use a booster and super bonder after. I feel like im doing everything right but i keep getting fixes help :( i use good brands too like bellalash, london lash, and etc and nothing
Absolutely loved all the information. Thank you.!! I honestly never had facial oils in mind.!! I've only just started 6 months ago. But no one ever mentioned how facial oils can affect the lashes.
I’m a new lash tec and honestly this is the BEST video I have even see. Straight to the point and keeping it real . And I love how you say that it’s not only the clients fault bc I agree with you we have to take responsibility
Excellent video!!! Very informative. I am just beginning in the world of lashes. And you really broke it down. I appreciate that. You are absolutely right between the communication from the lash tech to the client. The client think they know but they don’t. It is very important that we explain everything up front cover all bases. ✅
I wash my lashes once a day and make sure I do not put anything moisturizing near my lashes and my skin type is normally normal to dry and I wash them once a day and brush them twice a day lightly. And they have just started shedding so much and mostly all the ones that come out are not attached to my natural lash! I use to go three weeks exactly before fills and now after a week in a half they are almost gone 😢 what is going on! I live in la and it’s a little hotter rn but I’m never in the heat or outside long I only work and stay home in AC!
I do everything and still my lashes aren’t lasting I don’t know what to do. I have a hygrometer it’s always about 21 degrees and 50-55% humidity which my glue is perfect for apparently. 1-2second dry time glue as 0.5 is too fast for me. I wash everyone and only prime really oily lashes. The lashes don’t pop off when I brush them but yet I get so many messages after 2-3 days that they’re losing lots of lashes. I tell everyone about aftercare. The lashes have that magnetic affect when they’re attaching, the placement is 1-2mm away from lash line I don’t know what is happening :(
I bee thinking about being a lash tech kinda scare but most definitely I will give it a try any tips and tricks I love your video gave me real information
Getting so fustrated I've been doing lashes 3 years no problems and now all of a sudden my clients from Wednesday- yesturday all they're lashes have came off 😭😭 can't seem to figure out what's going on
I love my tech however, I don’t have great retention with her. I went to another person in the same salon and I’ve had the best retention with his work. I think the difference is the girl, even though I love her work, I don’t think she uses enough glue, but the gentleman who does it I think uses the right amount of glue. I don’t know if I should tell the lady that I think she should use more glue. In the meantime, I’m going to the gentleman who works right across from her, which is awkward since they’re in the same shop. She might wonder why I’m going to him all of a sudden.
Id live to see a video on glue. Like, how much is too much, especially with a thinner glue? Im using Dark Matter and I feel like I need a lot of glue to get my retention decent but I feel like its too much. This wasn’t really touched on in depth in my trainings (I have done 2 so far). They just say “don’t use too much” and don’t touch on how much for different viscosities or show what “too much” looks like for different viscosities.
I just did some lashes and having horrible retention 😭 falling not sticking. I wanted to give up. I shakes my glue so many times. My glue was in a sealed container. I finally added super bonder 🥺and it helped
Oh no! I know it’s hard trying to pin point what’s wrong! Have you checked your adhesive? The drying time? As well as the humidity level it needs to be at? That could help as well!
I did my first lash appointments this week and I feel like I had a lot of stickies 😢 I am practicing on my sister this weekend so ima try using less glue and work on isolation
I have lots of clients that are naturally oily and it’s okie! You just need to make sure your cleansing properly and daily! As long as you don’t let that oil build up you’ll be good!
Does anyone have any tips about lifted lash bases? I try to go in at the correct angle and make sure there’s enough glue on the extension(s), but for some reason as the glue dries the bases start lifting, I’m not sure if it’s the humidity level or if it’s something on my part…
There are a couple thngs happening here. It could be the angle you holding the lash at not just hw your placing it. I think hacing enough adhesive is a hige one. It could be humidity if the entire lash is coming off not just the bases. Bases are usually due to something we may be doing wrong. Try focusing mainly on the base of the lash not the whole extension. sometimes we put too much focus on the direction that we don't adhere the base as well! I hope this helps!!
Can you please give us good examples of oil free cosmetics that fit with lashes? Also, please, give us recommendation of mascara for fake lash extensions.
How do u stop ur glue from drying fast when u are in ur summer time n the humidity is so high .my clients lashes keep falling off idk why they stick good when i apply them n sometimes it wont just stick in their lashes
So definitely make sure you have a hygrometer to check out your humidity level. Once you know it’s too high, turn on a Dehumidifier to help regulate your humidity. This actually helps soo much! I’ve been having this problem in the winter when it’s just too dry!
Thank you so much for this because I had reached out to my teacher because one of my clients had bad retention and I didn’t know if it was my fault or hers and I didn’t want to blame her but I had no idea what I could’ve done wrong since I was a beginner.
if my drying time for my glue says 0.5-1 sec? whats that mean? i was doing a classic set yesterday and as i was going they kept coming off and i couldn't even finish to get my certificate ☹️
Ohh Noo! It’s drying too quickly!! Your trainer should not have been using that! You need a slower drying glue. At least, 3-4 second drying time especially if your getting trained!
You can! I dont suggest it because you want to pick your curl based on the natural state of the lash cuz the curl will go down after but in terms of getting better placement you can do that.
It was an entire year of lashing before I heard of how humidity affects adhesive-never taught to me in lash certification. Great video!
Omgsh I hate how much of a norm that is 🤦🏽♀️ so sad! But I’m so happy we can find these things out in different platforms now! 💕
Same!😩

going through the same thing now :(
SAME!!
have you used a mini misster
It might be your placement
Hey! I've had clients where primer actually doesn't help maybe try lash bath then lashing without primer if they're not oily :) helped me
i am definitely going to start doing that.. cleansing my in fills and only priming new clients.
I blow dry my lashes on the cool setting while brushing them!! My retention is amazing!
Love that!
Cool setting on the van ? @Amelia ?

Does all these tips apply to lash clusters?
What should the client wash their lashes with?

Maybe it’s your glue? Is the glue outdated? I know when I accidentally used mine past 5 weeks my lashes were all falling off
@@ameliamatthews3828 what lash glue do you use ??

What primer do you use?
Do you do lash courses ? If so where and how much do they cost.love your videos
I do! Send me an email at arielhosein@gmail.com
@@arielrenee if we aren’t in the same city as you, could we still do the lash course?

Good tips
Can I curl my clients lashes first in the event they have very straight lashes?
You can! I dont suggest it because you want to pick your curl based on the natural state of the lash cuz the curl will go down after but in terms of getting better placement you can do that.
I have straight lashes and I say no. You need to to use a curl for straight lashes. Example: L, L+, LC, M, U. Etc.
Love your videos. I literally clicked off of another video to yours cause she was talking entirely too much 😂. ✨✨✨lashing almost 3 months now
Awhh thank you soo much for the support! Omg I try my best to keep it to the point!!
The worse part is when your clients boyfriend throws your client into the pool the day they get their lashes done!!
